    If you ever expend this diorama, add a set of storage planks, so you can use a library bookplank moving staircase across the both of them, thus explaing how those wall mounted guns and so, can be reached.
    It's funny how this can easily fit into Fallout style setup.
    Have you looked up the "royal observer corps monitoring post" here on youtube?
    What would a Fallout like 40k version use?
    And do note the Mechanicum has Fallout Protectron like robots, can do some fun there, I bet.
    They also have something that looks quite a bit like the old puppet show THUNDERBIRDS, it's Mol, drilling machine.
    And the Space Marine armor, is quite like Starcraft Marine Armor, Iron Man mkI(-B, Power Monger) and Fallout Power Armor.
    Who knows what you can do there, right?
    Say, you know of the Snow-Cat and other such polar expedition units of a tractor unit & a trailer unit?
    Can a Sicaran Battle Tank and a Land-Raider be used for something like that?
    Anyway, happy building.

    Awesome piece! Good choice to go with a small footprint, as that level of detail would have been very labor-intensive to maintain over a large area!
    My favorite detail is the paper clip pipes - they provide a little texture and also break up areas into smaller spaces. Looks great!

      Ahhh thank you! Yeah that’s it, I’ve been having a lot of fun with smaller dioramas recently just because you can make them look a lot more detailed without it taking so much time. Thanks for stopping by!

    Great diorama, the gritty, grubby look gives it a real atmosphere. To make it more claustrophobic you could have built a ceiling with a hatchway, this would have brought the whole thing a lot more confined. Thanks for this video, it has given me a few ideas to try and I look forward to seeing your next sci-fi one.

    • @SwampRatMiniatures
      @SwampRatMiniatures  Год назад

      I love the way you think, I thought the exact same thing and even bought a little hatch door specially for it. I decided against it in the end as I thought it might make it a bit too dark, but I might have to give it a go for my next one! Glad to be of service and thank you my friend

    Speaking of Fallout - I love how this would fit into Fallout 1 or 2 really well. Like a small shop in one of the settlements. This is neat and I def like small dioramas sometimes. I usually prefer nature, but sci-fi/cyberpunk is really cool.

    I love your idea so much the only thing is you made it in miniature scale that means is you made it like the size of your pinky what I want to do is I want to double that size to triple that size for a 12-inch thank you so much for that idea I'm going to try to actually make it for the winter so when I work with my landlord and shovel the snow at least I can actually do like a project like that but you're talking about you're so sorry I have to make it for 12 inch so I'll try to make it for 12 in thank you for your idea because the one I sing with steampunk and now I like this so yeah thanks for the idea I'm going to try to boost it up at 12 in

    • @SwampRatMiniatures
      @SwampRatMiniatures  Год назад

      Thanks a lot! It’s definitely a great hobby for someone who has a good chunk of time on their hands, I’m not 100% sure how long this one took as I wasn’t keeping track but I’d estimate some time around 20+ hours for this smaller one. You can put way more or less time into it though depending on what finish/how much detail you’re aiming for, I hope you’ll give it a go!

    You could of add a bit more on your design layout with more curves, twists and diagonal piping. Everything look so square and straight. Your missing alot of everyday items in this diorama, like carpets, rugs, random pips on the floor, a chair, table lamp, stocked canned food etc. Those drawers as well, if you spend time on it to make it functional could of add more random details on top of it. Should always look at real life references to help with your design.
