    Express driver here. I so wish I could buckle my lap seatbelt for the whole day and just tuck it behind me, and leave the truck running for each stop! I gotta shut the truck off, open the bulkhead with a key, open the sliding door (Mercedes Sprinter) THEN find the package. So that time adds up quite a bit for doing 80-100 stops a day on a rural route.
    Really good tips about setting up the trucks. Us at Express who are using Forge can go by SID, but it doesn't differentiate time commits, so we have to load it a little different but overall the same that you did.

      How they got you with 80 to 100 on rural? Our rural got stops spaced out 10 to 23 minutes. We got a good contractor though so at most we get 45 to 55 stops

    Blows my mind how some guys just leave without organizing their truck first. I touch every single box/package/envelope etc. on my truck as I sort it by SID and type, and make sure all the pkgs are in the right spots (as much as possible). I'm the same way as you; grab and go. Never more than a couple seconds to locate my stop in the back of the truck. Not many things that drive me as crazy as having to stop and look for a package.

    Yo big boss I'm in training right now and I love your channel because it's helping me a lot. Why do you go up front and fumble it seems with your scanner then go back to organizing and then go up front again? I'm trying to figure that out. Also, do you count all your packages as your organizing and what if you have a different package total than on your scanner or phone.? Thanks, bro

    • @Deliverypros
      @Deliverypros  Месяц назад +1

      @@regaldonneys876 so I’m doing stuff on the iPad there. Sometimes when the sid tag falls off a box I’ll get the number from the manifest and write it on the box. Or sometimes I’m checking to see what package I will be delivering first to determine if one box should be closer to the back than the other. So that’s just me using the iPad to check something

    • @Deliverypros
      @Deliverypros  Месяц назад +1

      @@regaldonneys876 oh. And I don’t count my packages as I go. The iPad does that for me. I’m literally just grabbing each box, orienting it in a way that saves the most space, and putting the sid out front facing where I can see it.
