I believe Elliotte may be wrong re: Utah.
They purchased the contracts not the franchise of Arizona.
It is a brand new franchise with brand new record books in Utah.
    Bettman calls it a “hybrid”
It is what happened in the NFL when the Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore.

Thank you for the podcast. Until the Sens show how they can play on the road, the first game, especially at home, is almost meaningless, as they usually perform well at home. The consecutive 11 regular time road win seasons, (out of approx 41), for the Sens, I'm going to have to see how they play on the road before making conclusion.

1:05:06 To answer the question, the last time a team lost the Stanley Cup in 7 games in back-to-back years was back in the 1950's. In 1954, the Montreal Canadiens lost in overtime of Game 7 to the Detroit Red Wings. In 1955, the Canadiens lost in regulation to the same team, the Detroit Red Wings.
Elliotte was right, it did happen during the Original Six Era.

I think media trying to build these revenge game narratives is so ridiculous….
So the Bruins are ready to take their pound of flesh…. but first they have to watch the Panthers raise their Championship Banner….
What the hell are you getting revenge for exactly???
Losing in the playoffs the last two seasons to Florida is not going to be forgotten by a win in the opening game of the season…even if they actually did pull off a victory.
They do this in all the leagues and its absolutely moronic.
Do you honestly think that if the Bruins won that game that they would have been like “thank goodness we can finally forget about that exit in the playoffs the last two seasons, because we got this win on the first game if the season!!”

As an eastern team, Leafs' schedule is always the worst. Boston's always the best. Year after year. It's definitely a competitive advantage that doesn't get much airtime as it should.
