Yes it does. The old saying that goes with the Jamaican flag is "hardships there are, but the land is green and the sun shineth". It has nothing whatsoever to do with disrespect of the people, it's a tribute to their resilience and the beauty of their country.
@@outermarker5801 there’s two interpretations; the one where the black represents hardships/troubles is the old one, the new one has the black being representative of the people and our strength, the OP is not wrong and is allowed to call out the old interpretation as black being associated with ‘badness’ is a trope many black jamaicans are trying to move away from.

I wasnt going to say anything because this is only my 2nd video I’ve watched of this person, but I’ve noticed he tends not listen when people are talking, then repeating the same question OR while they’re talking just abruptly changing the subject!
