    Bach's composing range is amazing. Listen to pieces like this, then the Passacaglia & Fugue in C Minor, then the St. John Passion. All so different, yet linked by an almost God like mastery of both melody and harmony.

    Kind of sad that most people know this piece only as a Suzuki piece or as what comes after Air on a G String.

      @@eunaekim9216 Well, compared to the attention most classical music pieces get, I think being known from a suzuki book is pretty dang good.

      yeah... attention because of popularity is not exactly a bad thing per se, but could be a door opener into the world of Bach and Co....

      Also, it's the only part of the Orchestral Suites that actually made it into the Suzuki method, as far as I'm aware!
