Hi, I'm a young musician of 16 and I wanted to leave, together with the others, my testimony, albeit small. When I was a child I couldn't stand Bach, because of the severity of my music teacher. Thanks to Geru I discovered the magnificence of his masterpieces. Thanks to Geru, already at the age of 13 I listened to his works every day. Thanks to Geru I discovered the wonderful art of counterpoint in his compositions. Thanks to Geru I studied his scores directly, following the music... I can't stop thanking him... THANK YOU GERU! I will never forget you. The news of his death left a void in my heart. I hope that someone will complete his beloved project to which he has dedicated infinite time: that of digitizing all Bach's scores with the scrolling project... Condolences to all those who loved him, even from behind a screen, like us.
rest in peace, fellow score video maker you have been an inspiration for all of us who share the same passions of those who listen and study to classical music, and those who make similar content we will never forget you
Rest in Peace Gerubach. You were the motivation to create a channel in a format similar to yours and spread the wonder of classical music. May God comfort the hearts of family and friends.
Many on YT know me as a commentator on Bach and the Baroque, partly due to my playing the organ since my 20's. So when I say that Gerubach's massive effort here was one of the supreme contributions on YT to Bach's music, and music in general, I am sure a vast majority of fellow Geru followers will agree with me. Rest well, Geru. Hopefully your work will remain on YT for many years to come, so future fans of Bach can also enjoy the fruits of your labour.
I've learned a lot from your comments on his videos. He was a legend and it's up to us to not forget that; luckily, we still have his grand work to inspire and learn from. Thank you for all these years of insight in this great school.

Gerubach endowed me with a passion for these pieces that I would not have acquired otherwise. Seeing these compositions unfold in real time and having the ability to follow along with the music and glimpse the harmony and melody is a unique way to develop musicianship. Thanks Gerubach, I sincerely will miss these videos.

Rest well, Gerardo. What you made was art in and off itself. You combined audio and visual in a way that allows one to appreciate the music in an even deeper way. Your impact cannot be overstated as you inspired people to pick up where you've left off and make more visualizations of music even outside of just Bach.
