Doesn't, Alex hold all the records in Yosemite now because he freesolos them and saves all the time it takes to rig gear?

Karen Audrey Todd I don't think Honnold has free soloed anything on El Cap yet. Only four people have climbed The Nose without pulling on equipment (only using equipment for a safety net if you fall), and Honnold isn't one of them.

Hey Everett, he actually did, 2 days ago, June 3 of 2017, complete free solo Yosemite El Capitan :) Here is the news: www.nationalgeographic.com/adventure/features/athletes/alex-honnold/most-dangerous-free-solo-climb-yosemite-national-park-el-capitan/

REI's been in Seattle since 1938. We've always had access to gear; the rest of the country hasn't.

Alex Honnold + Tommy Caldwell's current record -- 1:58:07. Advice: Savor the glory until the Kenyans come.

It's risky and dangerous to climb that fast. It's amazing, but it's hard for people to conceive because of the lack of quality footage.
