Khan beat Pauli Mallinagi, Barrera (who beat Prince Naseem) and loads of other great fighters. That fight is just setting Slim up to fail, which appears to be the MO. fr he really needs to sit down and review their whole model cuz if they are doing it like this, it's not gonna last imo. The issue I think they are having here is there is only so many influencers who will agree to fight at the price misfits are willing to pay because they don't just pay based on what they think you are worth through a qualitative measurement, they actually use a model by DAZN to quantify the fighters worth and quote a pay day based on that. As such, a lot of these influencers end up outpricing themselves and fights don't happen. This is an issue that needs to be addressed imo, a shortage of talent to fight on cards, and whilst you can argue bringing in the MMA fighters could be a solution, imo it's only a short term fix to a problem that is going to get bigger & bigger, it's like they are digging themselves in a hole here. And the whole thing with public negotiations, imo is a way of getting fighters to cave in and sign the fight, yes it does bring buzz and something to talk about in between events but it can easily damage a fighters worth to the audience if they lose a fight, it's a risky game mams is playing imo.

This sounds like promoter strong arming when a fighter realises they're worth a LOT more than they're being paid - given the money influencer boxing seems to bring in, Slim has realised he can make more than he is making and likely will only accept fights that match this expectation. Wouldn't make sense for KSI to go up from 183 to 200 to fight a guy who's last fight was 147. Yes they can use weight advantage to make fights fair but a 50 lbs difference is too much if this fight happens. This would happen only if it is an exhibition and I don't think KSI is going to waste time doing exhibitions when he can get actual fights and progress. My bet is Darren Till or someone in the same level and name value.
Khan probably wouldn't get down to 147 at this point without a struggle. Khan will easily and comfortably fight at 160 right now, and no cut needed so less stress in training. He made 155 somewhat comfortably years ago. KSI won't be 200 he's at that while fat and out of shape. He will be 185-190. So 30 pound weight difference, but Khan is an actual elite level Olympic boxer and legitimate world champion.
For Slim, try to make Gib and if Gib is asking too much use someone like OJ Rose or Rak Su to buy time (still good fights plus Slim needs that main event and has to defend the belt) until maybe Gib then Pettis. Ksi should fight Pettis, Mike Perry or Masvidal/Dias winner and then work towards the Jake Paul fight (no influencers). Slim offers nothing to Ksi and that fight should not happen at all; the weight, style and experience advantages for Ksi as well as Slim being basically unknown makes it a rubbish fight that ruins Slim and makes Ksi look bad (should have happened at 004 or 007, beyond that pointless). Just build to Slim-Gib & Ksi-Jake then go from there, Amir Khan can fight someone else if they really want him on Misfits (he would fuck both of them up)

We don't know the circumstances regarding the Slim/Pettis offer but given Pettis is fighting Avila next at 175, it seems pretty clear Slim should have chosen him. Khan will easily and comfortably fight at 160 right now, and no cut needed so less stress in training. He made 155 somewhat comfortably years ago.
KSI won't be 200 he's at that while fat and out of shape. He will be 185-190. So 30 pound weight difference, but Khan is an actual elite level Olympic boxer and legitimate world champion.

For Slim, try to make Gib and if Gib is asking too much use someone like OJ Rose or Rak Su to buy time (still good fights plus Slim needs that main event and has to defend the belt) until maybe Gib then Pettis. Ksi should fight Pettis, Mike Perry or Masvidal/Dias winner and then work towards the Jake Paul fight (no influencers). Slim offers nothing to Ksi and that fight should not happen at all; the weight, style and experience advantages for Ksi as well as Slim being basically unknown makes it a rubbish fight that ruins Slim and makes Ksi look bad (should have happened at 004 or 007, beyond that pointless). Just build to Slim-Gib & Ksi-Jake then go from there, Amir Khan can fight someone else if they really want him on Misfits (he would fuck both of them up)
