Its clear as day Jake and Nakisa are the ones not making this fight happen.
Back in aug 2022, Jake was offering 180 to KSI and KSI accept but for 2023 which Jake then agrees to. Couple months later. Jake decides to fight Nate and refuses to fight KSI in december saying he cant do 180. (Then why did you agree to it in the first place).
At this point, KSI was the one to let go of his ego and was to comprised and says he willing to do 185 and in the US. Now jake wants 200lbs despite saying he is most confortable at 185.
Now tell me how much KSI has to give up to make this fight. Why can't jake do the same and let go of his ego.
jake cant get from 220-230 to 185 thats not healthy 190 is the easiest way to make it stop dick riding and understand how ksi team took to long to make an offer
It's more than ego. It's basically that jake wants to keep pushing boxing and earn from it while ksi wants to promote misfits, end the story and move on. So jake's team is out there negotiating with every big name while keeping in mind that ksi needs the jake fight more than jake needs it. So yeah, no one is ducking anyone. It's just timing and business play
It's business at the end of the day, there is more to it than weight & location. Jake's team are more business & money driven imo & will try and use every trick in the book to have the upper hand in negotiations & because Jake conducts himself in a more proper fashion than KSI online & in interviews, he is able to save face online quickly. The whole Jake Paul/ MVP brand relies on Jake being perceived as this guy looking to make a difference for boxing, if people see he is ducking KSI, it's not a good look for their business.
That is why Jake randomly takes digs at KSI and about negotiations.
@@danielsironmoni7207 Fair assessment but Jake is running out of options, people won't want to see the retired mma dudes but finding someone that ticks all the boxes is more difficult than the fans think. Tommy Fury was perfect, he ticked all the boxes, huge following, young, boxer, etc. If Jake had more Tommy's in the lineup, the ksi fight would be out of discussion.
The whole point of the netflix deal & Mike Tyson fight, is just to get Jake's name value & draw back up because it took a hit with the loss to Tommy. Jake knows if he wins, he gets even more mainstream exposure, more doors open for him & it gives him the upper hand in negotiations with KSI.
What is this BS about 185 being a problem? He just fought nate diaz at 185. And 183 for tommy fury. Yes he got bigger for Mike Tyson but we know jake is not a real heavyweight. He has proven himself comfortable and at his peak performances in the 180-190 weight range.
Jake stated himself, on camera, that his best weight was 180. Then not that long afterwards was crying to his fans about how KSI is ducking for expecting him to fight at the weight he said he was best at.
Then once KSI agreed to it, he went and fought someone else instead.

Jake basically only fights people he is much bigger than, this was always the end game - first it was to tantrum to try and put pressure on ksi to fight immediately after coming back after years of not boxing l(or at least before he caught up with the massive lead in training and experience Jake had by that point).
Then when that failed, stop trying for the fight as much, and only mention it with ever increasing weight advantages as he is used to having.
This tag team match up is a clear representation of KSI'S Ego, The Slim match would've been enough.
I reckon if it was in London and a good undercard, Kenny, Salt papi etc, DAZN would have been willing to accept KSI vs Slim as a main event on it's own. I think because it's in Ireland, undercard most likely going to be Irish talent, and most likely a slightly lower budget for a PPV event, they decided not to give Slim a main event on his own but that does not justify the whole 2 v 1 thing, still don't understand the rationale behind that.
You can argue that for KSI opponent name & worth does not matter but the fact AT has been thrown in the mix will get it that slight bit more attention imo. People will say AT sparred Jake, he fought Tommy etc & I reckon more people will pay attention.
Also you have to take into account, Slim is the champ, he got the belt last October and has NOT defended his belt since. His engagement & draw has defo taken a hit as well. DAZN are business driven so they will only give main events to fighters who have good engagement and are a draw

It's pretty obvious that the "final offer" was done with them thinking the date was free, but the announcement had either been missed or not happened as they set up the video. That's a perfectly fair thing to notice and fix, people would be crying about him ducking otherwise and clearly he isn't.

Wade was genuinely looking through 360p footage of an Andre August fight and hyping up his fight with Jake on the breakdown acting like he posed a threat. But two Misfits “champions” don’t mean much for KSI? It’s a bit tricky since KSI vs AT would’ve been too boring and KSI vs Slim would have been a bit lopsided because of the weight. It’s still weird but far from being an L idea for an event.

When KSI fought Joe Weller and even during his fights against Logan you could feel his love for boxing was at a all time high. Now it feels like he needs to be putting on these fights out of obligation, but seeing the way KSI calls out his opponents he sounds reluctant and bored. TBH as a KSI fan, he should move on. The influencer boxing space is not his place anymore.
I disagree, I think he does seem to really love boxing still. It would be so easy for him to stop fighting but you can tell he just gets the itch to want to keep going. A 2v1 handicap match is the definition of a "fun fight", so to me it just seems like KSI is having fun with boxing instead of perfectly picking his next opponents to appeal to people.

I’m tired as well of the constant pushback. It’s been five years since JJ fought Logan. After that we thought he’d be fighting Jake not long after. Then one year passed. Then two. Then three. Then four. 5 years later it still hasn’t happened. How many people do you think are even interested in KSI and Jake Paul boxing each other? Either the fight happens or it doesn’t. If they pushback one more time, they should pull the plug.
May, particularly Cinco De Mayo is a huge date for boxing fights. It makes all the sense in the world they’d target May 2025.
That's Canelo's date though, I doubt boxing fans are tuning in to watch KSI over Canelo. Honestly though, they're probably separate audiences for the most part so doing it later in May would most likely be for the best. That way audiences don't have to choose.

Slim is not a big star at all, has never fought anyone remotely professional, and was offered a fight with Amir Khan who KSI is willing to fight. If Slim doesn't think he's ready for Amir Khan but KSI is actually trying to fight him I think that says a lot. Also since he's fighting Slim now this is just no longer true lol.

Everyone knows when you bring Anthony Taylor into this the fight automatically turns into a clown fight, WWE at best. I can confidently say that 99% of people would much rather see KSI vs Slim, and advertise it as who’s the top dog in Misfits. bringing A.T into this is a huge mistake, but this just goes with the downward spiral that Misfits is on, they waited way to long to make the KSI vs Jake fight, then they made the Prime card to big with all other cards after it not coming anywhere close, and now this 😂😂😂👍🏻

If AT had to be included into this, then I think the best matchups to make would've been KSI vs Slim and Gib vs AT. Both fights are the best stylistic matchups in terms of providing entertaining fights and both fighters being competitive with each other. Imagine if Slim beat JJ and Gib became the first influencer to finally beat AT. The hype for Slim vs Gib would've been catapulted to the moon.

I only really see them alternating every round meaning it will be 3 each or 4 each, depending on how many rounds are agreed, unless they plan on having 1 of them gas KSI out (likely AT) while Slim comes in at the end and try and knock him out

I'm not a fan of these gimmick fights, especially in a main event. But I think this match will be fun to watch at least. Imagine if we only got ksi vs AT with the hug off. Or just ksi v slim where ksi just bullies skinny slim. At least with both at once, we can see ksi adjust against 2 different styles. I like it overall
