The influencer boxing hype died a long time ago Imo the only fight people were really interested in is Jake Paul vs ksi this side quests ain't it and ksi saying that they will never fight was the nail to the coffin a lot of Ego from both sides is the real issue ,ever since Turki came into boxing promotions like Matchroom and top rank are fighting each other the best are fighting the best .
No one is surprised that Jake and KSI aren’t ever fighting. They kept pushing it pack for the past 5 years. No one is even hyped for either of them fighting each other anymore.

Ksi didn't feel like he lost to Tommy so he didn't own up to it. He has owned up to many of his L's. Fr. Plus, Swarmz and Pineda were replacements for Alex Wassabi, and Wassabi actually has a pretty solid fan base. And Fournier is not PPV, but he at least looks good on paper cuz he was a “pro” (on paper at least). Slim is not ppv AND he isn’t a pro. Misfits Boxing literally made Slim 😂
1. People were not interested in watching Swarmz or Pineda, this was KSI return to boxing. He could have boxed anyone and it would have done massive PPV's.
2. Temper were the left over's of slim. Remember Slim KO'ed him first. People did want KSI to box Slim over Temper.
3. Fournier was not a 9-0 pro boxer, he was a drug cheat who had his pro boxing license revoked, and was fighting unsactioned bouts. He was never a champion and if you really wanted to you can search up the belt history that he proclaimed he is not on that list. Let's not forget he got elbowed by KSI and that the fight was over turned to a NC.

I don't think a lot of people know what taking a loss does to your ego and the way you carry yourself after it. Gib's loss to Jake Paul was the reason why he stopped being an Influencer, only focused on training, and started being himself in press conferences rather than putting on a WWE act. Same thing with KSI here. He's just being himself after losing to Tommy. I think we can all respect that, and I don't think it has anything to do with KSI's confidence or his want to fight.

How so? He didn't show anything. People are saying that no one would watch Ksi vs Jake are just talking from their own feelings because they are frustrated that it hasn't happened yet. How can another fight have a better build up than what Dillion did to Logan’s girl? It was so fun to watch, and all the conferences were funny, the props, the fury’s, the bottles thrown… that can’t be recreated lol and Tommy almost turned KSI into a cripple, KSI Bawled like a baby when he lost, Logan won but we wanted him to lose, and Dillion couldn’t wrestle Logan cause he told him he would, so Logan avoided it.
Just saying influencer boxing was killed by Dillion cause Jake Paul and KSI can’t recreate that build up, and we all know that’s what it’s about, because the fight is only a couple minutes. And honestly when KSI started working with Logan he muddied the rivalry him and Jake had… we’ll watch it but the build up won’t be as epic as Dillion.
Oh and we would of loved if Dillion hurt Logan, but he said getting sued was fucking with his camp, so he was never going to win. And his career was in the dumps before Logan.

If Logan vs Ksi got more ppv buys then the prime card, there is no reason to believe jake vs ksi wouldn't. Logan's friendship with ksi didn't really muddy Ksi's rivaly with jake. People would get tired of Jake and Ksi's back and forth regardless since they didn't want to fight one another.

Because three of Ksi previous opponents were not a draw or a big name Anthony Taylor and Slim are bigger names then three of the previous opponents of Ksi. Not a contradiction, that was in response to Slim bringing up Swarmz and Pineda, which for context sake is very important, it was KSI's return fight where he needed light competition for warmup and that usually means they don't have to be anyone of ANY credibility, under the pretense to fight a 1on1 in an active and hyped main event, Slim isn't popular enough, hence he's doing the 2in1 concept with Slim and AT together that's for the sole reason of preparing for bigger fights and proving people who accused him of ducking wrong

I think any real combat sports fan wants the 1v1 but its influencer boxing where they are bringing in a new audience of mostly children and non fight fans. Tbh a lot of the opinions online are quite varied about this match up. The general consensus is that it should be KSI vs Slim instead of having AT. Slim's point on why KSI fought who he fought previously instead of fighting Slim is not really the best of points in my opinion.
Wade already mentioned for Misfits 001, it was KSI's return so everyone was more invested in that over who he was fighting although the 2 fights 1 night thing was new and appealed to everyone at the time, the general consensus online at the time was that it was going to be a challenge etc etc. Yes people expected KSI to have a better opponent and yes he could have had a bit more of a challenge but it was his return to the ring after just under 3 years so it mainly served as a means of getting rid of the ring rust.
With regards to choosing Temperr over Slim for 004 when Danis pulled out, Slim already had an opponent booked, they did all the promo and it was Zanetti's debut on misfits and prior to that he tried being on the other shows but those fights fell through so I assume the reason behind that was they already promoted the fight, it was co main, unfair on Zanetti to switch his opponent etc. People have already mentioned this before and it was a stacked card so there was no real issue for KSI vs Temperr as Temperr at that point was not announced to be on the card.
With regards to choosing Fournier over Slim, at the time once again people were telling KSI to step up the competition and let's be honest, roll back to Feb 2023 after misfits 004, no one was really pushing for Slim vs KSI like that. Everyone was more fixated on KSI stepping up the competition and for Slim to fight Salt Papi because at that time Papi was seen as the next rising star of misfits and a 'challenger' to KSI but we now know that is no longer the case following the prime card. Couple that with the fact Slim himself said he is taking a break and as we know he returned on the prime card.
Yes KSI sort of defeated his whole argument of Slim alone not being ppv worthy by saying everyone tunes in regardless of who KSI fights but the underlying reason which obviously he won't mention is that the card itself is a mid card let's be honest no big names on the card, would not even consider deen the great a pull anymore. It's only the main event that will attract some attention.
How do I think the fight will go? From what I read online, apparently it's a minimum of 1 tag per round and imo I don't think Slim has the gas tank to go the distance, do I think KSI's karate stance will do it with Slim? No, I reckon he needs to switch it up and refine it to be less karate and more traditional but I see KSI wearing slim down and catching him then it becomes a 1 v 1 KSI vs AT that goes the distance

Well he's saying that KSI is not the top influencer boxer, that's what the final boss would be. We know Slim is not challenging KSI because its the most challenging fight, but he's doing it for the paycheck. KSI is the top drawing influencer boxer, other than maybe Jake Paul. He's disrespected Slim and talked as if he's the best, despite not wanting to fight the best opponents. Slim is wanting to expose that KSI is not all that, which he may get a chance to depending on how the tag team works out.
I think that for most people outside of the UK this card is pretty dead. I follow this very casually though.

let's be real, we can't use the argument of what counts as a ppv worthy main event vs KSI just with the context of Pineda, Swarmz nd Temperrr getting it. Swarmz was a replacement for Alex Wasabi which is more worthy of a ppv than Slim against KSI for the reason i'll explain after the next two fighters. Pineda was an addition because people didn't like Swarmz as ppv so KSI's team wanted to bring a pro in. i'm not sure what was the qualifications to picking that pro were but before Pineda there was that one racist pro who got replaced with Pineda. so both Swarmz and Pineda were replacement fights. next up is Tommy who was a replacement for Dillon, KSI already said they couldn't take Slim because he already has a fight against Tom, and Tom also had his last opponent pull out so it would be extremely disrespectful to take Slim away from Tom and give him to KSI so close to fights day. meaning until that point, none of KSI's opponents were as planned so you can't really blame him. Alex and Dillon both are more worthy of the KSI ppv fight for the sole reason that the narrative is already there. Joe was a pro, and Tommy is a pro, so both make sense when it comes to competing with Jake in terms of difficulty.
TLDR it's completely meaningless to throw the "Pineda/Swarmz ppv worthy?" argument
