    I love the last one too…it is like an old world master painting. It looks so fantastic framed and hung in that setting. I just started watching your videos and I really enjoy your encouraging style to be free and see where it goes. This attitude is easier for an experienced creator because you have knowledge as to how to “correct” or manage those aspect you might not like. I recognize that it is an attitude worth cultivating.

      Hi Annette! I'm so happy you enjoyed seeing the works framed. They weren't actually framed, but I know that most art works convey a different meaning once "finished." Sometimes I even hold a mat up to my art journal to get the same effect - and I d see it differently. Thank you so much for your kind words, and for being here. 🥰

    Watching your process gave me a big insight on the difference between my working process and yours. What I noticed is this: When I am over a piece, I am constantly hoping, that the endresult will please me ("make my heart sing" - what a wonderful expression!). So I am really suffering a lot, when I seem to get "stuck". Having watched your process will bring me back to enjoy playing, to embrace the adventure not to know, where I will end up with my piece. So thanks a lot, Jackie. I loved every moment of your video. Sending you a big hug 🥰, Britta

    • @PaintedPaperStudio
      @PaintedPaperStudio  11 месяцев назад +1

      Britta, thank you for your openness and honesty. If I had a specific mission with the channel, it would be to help eliminate creative suffering for all. When I find myself really stuck, I'll stop what I'm doing, put it away for a while, and then experiment with something else. When I make that shift, I'm very intentional about not creating art, but creating something through experimentation. I allow myself to fail or succeed with the same degree of passion when I experiment. It's usually just the mindset shift I need. You said it perfectly - "embrace the adventure." Big hugs back to you 🥰

    House paint is used in many artists pieces. Look at fluid art. With the paint going between a medium it will be protected and not gone off. Similar to the powdered charcoal they’re are fixed. Love your style and techniques 3 exceptional pieces of art.

    Beautiful results after spectacular commentary and instructions. Would it be possible to request a video of your "basics?" Like basic rolls of paper and why you choose them. Basic paints, mediums, brushes, etc. I'm really curious about your table. I'm going to move my dinning room table into my studio because it's pub style height. Perfect for standing work and a bigger surface than my desk. I've only worked small in the past mostly because of work surface size, but you've definitely inspired me to work larger. Im just not sure a square will be long enough.
    The frames look so good on your wall. I can't wait to use this storage tip. I've already got pieces for the other ideas you shared just from my daughter moving out and leaving things behind. A tension rod and a clothes rack. Just need to get hangers and clips ordered once my other daughter moves out.
    Sorry for the ramble 😁

    • @PaintedPaperStudio
      @PaintedPaperStudio  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you, Kricket - and I love a good ramble 😂 I'm glad you will be able to reclaim your creative space soon. I have put your requests on my big "video ideas list, and hope to film something with them soon. Next, my table is huge 36" x 72" or 91 x 182 cm --- but the part that is exposed during filming is about half that (maybe even smaller). When I started, I worked on a small desk, too, and gradually found ways to work bigger. Where there is a will there is a way 🥰

      Thank you, Ellen. This skin was so fascinating to make because of the instant depth that the self-leveling gel creates. However, you don't have to use that particular medium to create skins. This is awesome. But I think you should know that paint samples don’t have binder. You can wash it off. My mom works at Home Depot and shared that with me. The binder is the expensive part. I believe that Sherman Williams is the only one that does put binder in their paints but much more expensive .

    • @PaintedPaperStudio

      That is good to know! I'm ok with paintings #1 and #3 because they are encased in binders, but painting #2 is not protected. I'm ok with it for that piece, but I will share this information in next week's video so everyone knows. Thank you so much for letting us know, Lissette! 🥰

      Hi Noelle! Thank you for watching and letting me know that you enjoy the videos - it means a lot to me. 🥰 My corkboard is white because I painted it 🙌🏼 Years ago when I was working, that corkboard was always behind me in video conferences, and it was so drab I hated it, so I painted a really bright pink. After seeing it on screen, I hated it, so I painted it white, and it's stayed that way ever since. I used regular house paint with a flat finish, but I bet you could also use gesso.
