Thanks for your version of Guac. I make fresh salsa with garlic, cilantro, onion, tomato, raw lime juice and pepper, no salt. Just add these to the smashed avocado, I will add the pickle jalapeno.

Dear Cowboy Kent, I used to live in California before coming north to AK. It was in CA i first learned about guacamole and have as such, prepped many gator pears in my time. I always used a thin spoon to scoop the seed out, then i run the spoon along the inside of the skin. It carves the 'cado right out and is perfect to maintain the shape if you happen to be slicing it
I mix my taco salad Kent….gotta have it mixed in SE Texas to get all them flavors together. Love it and you and Shannon keep ‘em comin. God bless you all!!
Perfect timing. I just made some taco beef last night👍 I'm too lazy to deep fry plus I don't want to heat up the kitchen anymore than I have to so I just serve mine over tortilla chips.
Wow, once again Kent comes through with probably one of his best home techniques for frying a flour tortilla for this taco salad. I never thought of using a tall tomato sauce or fruit juice can. My homemade taco salad just became a whole lot easier to make. Thank you Kent. Once again you prove, you’re one in a million!

My wife loves taco salad the most so I will be making this for her and the kids. Also never knew guacamole was so easy to make since wife eats all the time. And yes I know how hot it can be in Oklahoma in the summer, I spent 4 years there in Tulsa.
Lots of goodness in that there salad. Years ago, we'd make our own corn tortilla chips and mix them with the fixings then load up the giant deep fried tortilla for serving. That way there was a nice tortilla chip in most bites however, you couldn't wait a long time as the chips would acquire the cheese etc and get too wet for a crunch. Never did we use guacamole so this is a great recipe to try ! Thanks Ken and Shan.

Looked like you were making a lasagna-style taco bowl. Your shell technique is terrific! I don't mix my taco bowls. I like to be surprised by an unexpected flavor. My tastebuds prefer batting the flavors around rather then getting all of them at the same time.
I got my cup out and put some Guacamole dip into it. Then i pour a little beer in it. What was surprising was? the little chunks avocado EXPLODED WITH FLAVOR. YUM ! its a must try some beer in your Guacamole! 👌

One of my favorite channels on YT! Top 3 for sure. I know this is an older video but, I got a tip for your guac... If you want an extra layer of flavor, instead of tomatoes … add a small jar of drained pimentos! You will have a new appreciation for guac! I find tomatoes tend to water it down some and I don’t like that. My mom always used pimentos and that’s what I grew up with. When I’d go to restaurants or other peoples houses they’d use tomatoes and I learned that most people used tomatoes. Strange to me but it is what it is.
Now I'm hungry again. Thanks for the reminder where I can find the recipe again. I have both of your cookbooks and they are great Presents too so when you buy one don't forget your kids families. To take the potency out of the red onion soak it in vinegar for a bit and then drain. It helps! Thanks for the recipes!!! 🙂

Here in Arizona most Mexican restaurants don’t even have taco salad. Toasted pepitas are also really good in guacamole. Love the videos!
People usually use purple onion to add some color which makes it more visually appealing, but I agree white onion is much better.
