On my ID4, this command option appears on the exit menu when you are about to leave. Then just give a shot up on the wiper arm when back to lower the blades.

The one I ordered is supposed to have a heated front shield window. Guess those ones are less critical, but will have to see first winter after it arrived

which model / country is your ID4? We also need heated wiper fluid jets.

@@EVTipsAndTricks The Belgian dealer describes it as: ID4 Pro Performance 77kW 204pk. And yes, your climate might be colder than mine

Still useful when cleaning the car to lift the wipers from the windshield though.

Most volkswagens have this function when shuttingu down the car, just pull the wiper stalk down (in the manual wipe position) and it will go into service mode. Don't know bout the id series, still waiting on mine but it will have a heated windshield and jets Anyway. Though, i use service mode when cleaning the car to lift the wipers from te windshield. Wipers will go back into normal position when pulling the stalk when starting the car or when you start driving.

Why does everything need a 4 minute video to explain one simple 5 second task? I just needed to know how to extend the wipers, I don't need a whole documentary.
