  • Introducing the 2015 Ducati Panigale 1299 and 1299s with its 1285 cm3 Superquadro engine, it's what? i hear you say, the Superquadro engine is the most advanced and powerful twin-cylinder engine
produced on the planet, which is made even more extreme by pistons with a diameter of 116 mm. The 1299 has more torque than the 1199 delivering an incredible 144.6 Nm at 8,750 rpm, a dry weight of 166.5 kg and maximum power of 205 hp at 10,500 rpm.
The 1299 has evolved in terms of chassis set-up too: the innovative monocoque chassis now has a steering head angle of 24° to guarantee increased agility when cornering, while the fork pivot is 4 mm lower allowing for increased rear traction in a variety of situations.
Ducati have fitted a new electronic kit, specifically for the 1299 Panigale with 3 different Riding Modes, makes it even more high-performance. Thanks in fact to the presence of the Inertial
Measurement Unit (IMU), Cornering ABS is made available, along with Ducati Wheelie Control and, on the S version, the Öhlins Smart EC, an event-based control system for the suspension. Moreover, the Ducati Quick Shift now works also during down-changing, to further improve track performance and to make the bike more easy to use on a daily basis. On the 1299 Panigale, the Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and the Engine Brake Control (EBC) have been optimised by an automatic calibration system which allows for easy changes in tyre size and final drive ratio.

the best video ever created of the 1299! btw what bulbs are you running for the yellow? I hope you can showcase the v4. if ducati turns you down then they're not wanting to show its potential. this video is the reason why i bought my penny!

so you bought it without test riding it?

jerryx2000 well...yeah lol. I rode the 899 which, at the time, was the only model that particular dealer would let anyone ride. they said that theyd had a customer total an 1199S and weren't taking any chances. Now that my dealer group has acquired a ducati dealer I was able to get a killer deal on one so I figured why not. If I really don't like it I can sell it. I think that they've addressed the complaints I had about the Panigale with this update.

iSpyCars I wish you good luck and hope you like it ;-) I liked the S1000R on paper and tests. Hated the bike after the test ride. I still love my '05 ZX6R.

jerryx2000 thanks man. I spent about 4hrs on the S1000 and loved it, honestly its a better bike overall. However looking at it beside the Panigale it just didn't make me smile the way the Ducati did. With my employee discount the Duc was cheaper new than a used 2014 S1000 so that sealed the deal. Youre the only person I know that didn't like the BMW

iSpyCars These bikes are getting so good and better I think You can buy without a test ride. I would be shocked if you have previous experience with an older model and then hate the new improved model that much that you regret it. LOL

Beautiful bike, not sure the back fairing is as nice as the 1199/899 but I'm sure it will grow on me

    no slipper clutch/EBC @ 9:35?

    • @hellfire08

Why would it need a slipper clutch when it has an auto blipper?

    • @arrowinquire

Because after a smooth shift (down) I can still loose rear traction by rolling off too far/too quick on 1098 (no EBC) or esp the 1299 with EBC turned down.

One could buy 3 x Ninja H2 for its price. Everything else is pointless at the moment. The only thing Ducati can win is a beauty pageant. No offense. :)

That only proves that you chose style over quality. Have you tried the H2? You have not. So that is that.

Csaba Torok haha says the guy with straight highway driving videos videos on his channel . i saw one , didnt saw one driving yet . but dont you worry , you mght think this is a new 'era '. let me tell you it is not , it is just another new generation , as there Always was . you remember this when you see them on trackdays i think , keep an eye on how many upgrades they put on , or dont put on . then make the sum and see how much money is spend on the package . but i think you never come near a trackday though
