HAHAHAHA i was like WTF is this dud going on about?? is this Whisky commercial?? then bike then Whisky and i became like OMFG this dud is an adult and talk adult laungauge and he has seriously good points..You dont mention top speed you mention acceleration once and thats BRILLIANT!! This is maybe the best review i`ve seen on YT PERIOD!! INstant sub
My last Ducati was the 848 Evo and I loved it, but that's the thing with Duc's, either you never own them, or you love them. Now I'm looking at another one, I came across your vid... After section 2 of your Scotch comparison, subscribed! I have to agree with Steve, hands down one of the most real and genuine feeling review for this beauty. Also, Nice Baron Sticker!
Moto Dutchman Don't know if you've been asked this before but have you ever ridden a 1199 before and if you have how are they in comparison? Asking because I am considering one of the two.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for ur videos - They have helped me with my 2013 1199 Panigale. It'd almost 10 years old - puts a smile on my face each time I ride it and a grimace each time my mechanical abilities are challenged by it's ability to rattle bolts and nuts loose - safety wiring has helped with that. I also ride my bike on cross-country junkets - third time across Canada and USA. Practical bike = NO fun bike = YES. Scotch tasting and Ducati enjoyment go hand in hand. Again Thank you...
I have owned this bike and traveled long distance too. Approaching 20k mikes in two years...this is a very ACCURATE review. Very Fast bike. Handles like a dream without the Ohlins...expensive to maintain, highly suggest you get extended warranty with any Euro bike. This bike loves track days. It was totally made for the race track.
Amazingly good review. I've already known for a while that my next Ducati would be a Panigale, but with all the videos couching it as a thigh burning machine I've been looking for that real rider review instead of the typical "I'm a poor editor who never afford this, but I'll tell you my wisdom from spending 30 minutes on it."
Very creative! I rode a 1299S on a track and have no idea how you can use it on the street ... when you get into the power it feels like the gates of hell have been opened!
I watched this 2 months ago. I have rarely been drawn back to a video after learning what the content was in this segment (motorcycle reviews). But I just enjoy the layout, visuals (obviously) and style of the video. So I’m back.
***** Just like you said in the vid you look down and you don't realize you're going that fast haha I too much prefer the matte white or the classic red but I'm a fan of those gold rims :D
awesome commentary bro. I have a 2015 1199 Panigale R (The Precious), and a 2014 Yamaha R1, and I am so much more comfortable on my Precious than the R1 in ever way. I felt the burn of the heat of the subframe when I rode the bike from the dealer home, but I forgotten about it since then. As for flickability, lightness (except in windy crosswinds), acceleration and comfort in the 170-200+ mph are unmatched... and that in Sport mode. Race mode is just mind blowing. I find that my inner thighs get fatigued after a good long hard ride just trying to hold on from not getting sucked off the bike at the speeds I mentioned. And like you said there are many of bike now that produces similar power, but it's up to the individual taste, finances and riding needs. keep the videos going.
Just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos, not just this one. Bought a 2012 1199 Panigale earlier this year and have been using a few of your videos for maintenance/improvements. Damn, it's a great bike. It is not convenient to work on but so satisfying to ride on!
Serious this one of the best review videos, I have ever seen .. i loved the way you compared with whisky tasting .. keep it up Waiting for more to come ..
This is the first video I've seen from your channel, and i'll 100% subscribe and check out your other videos. Your review was so refreshing, you're totally right about all the other reviews being either a 10 minute test ride where they stay under 4k RPM and say it's slow... Or a track review, that's not entirely relatable for a lot of people. Good work :).
Awesome review, really describes the quirks of owning a Ducati well. Last summer I bought my first Ducati, can confirm pretty much everything in this video.
Useful vid. Until this moment I was shopping for one but after all you've said now I must reconsider my options and check thoroughly all the pros and cons. Thumbs up
Your video was the first all around helpful one I have seen I’m thinking about getting one and you covered all the Rumors concerns and fears that I had. Thanks 🤙🏾
Excellent summary of what you go through owning a Ducati! It is truly a brand that gives you that "one-of-a-kind" experience... still have and love riding my modded 1198, but have kept an eye on the 1299 Pani. Keep up the real world approach with your reviews. Subscribed.
An instant sub, absolutely loved the parallel with a whiskey tasted and especially loved your ending - get whatever you like the most and stop worrying about how it compares to everything else. Love the bar mirrors, really set the bike off imo Fantastic vid and a well earned sub good sir!
Now that's the kind of review an average buyer really needs. Great video man. The Pannigale is my dream bike and like you I am going to buy it someday irrespective of all the minor issues you rightly pointed out.
Looking at getting the 1299 s do you know about how many miles to the tank? I don’t really care about mpg just wanna make sure it’s over 120 miles cuz the rides I go on the gas stations are far and few between
Hey found you via SMO's Subscriber Spotlight. (He did the same for me last month). This review is well written, edited and narrated. I look forward to checking out your other vids. Ride Safe!!
I sold a 2007 ZX6R that I had for almost 10 years. Since the Panigale came out I was in love with the way it looks, nothing else. I still want one, I want one bad. I sold my bike because traffic wants to kill me every other day and I got tired of that so I sold my Ninja. I also felt like I could never fully enjoy the high revving nature of thebike without getting into deep trouble. My finances are not there to buy one, I probably should buy a truck instead and move on with my life. I dont know, I might one day buy one just to keep it in the garage as an Art piece, I think is that beautiful.
Great review bud. You went in with a plan and stuck to it while making concise points and expressing the way you felt about the bike in a weird but functional way. Lastly, BMW S1000RR.
As always. Fantastic video! I'm becoming a bit of a fan of this channel. My question is do you ever struggle with the leg grip on this bike? My friend has a 1199 and when I ride it I can't ever seem to get "comfortable" without sliding into the tank. I noticed you don't have tank grips grips installed on your bike. Is this not an issue for yourself?
Digging this out as it promised honest realtalk for everyday use - and delivered! One question: Did you ever miss the semi-automatic suspension from the S-Model on a roadtrip? Happy cruising!
Thanks for the kind words, and you asked a really great question! I never missed the suspension perks of the S. At this point in time, the electronics only handled manually setting the preload and rebound (if I remember correctly). Unless the bike is constantly moving between road/track/passenger riding I just set it and forget it. I knew I'd always have to sacrifice comfort for performance, so I've never really thought about it too hard. I'm getting ready to re-ride the 700mi/11hour stretch between Chicago and Philly, but this time it'll be on my GSA. Hoping it'll be a little more comfortable this time. Ride safe!
Love the review! I found your channel a few days ago and have been making my way through all the great Panigale videos - you do really great work! Very entertaining to watch, and informative to hear. I dig a lot of the mods you've done - mirrors/signals, tail light, etc. Appreciate all the work you do on putting all this content together for the community! I'm saving for either a 959 or 1299, thus the reason I'm "consuming" all your bike content :) Couple quick questions (and I apologize if someone, somewhere has already asked this): could you comment on the riding position, especially as it pertains to how often you "need" to ride in a tuck or near-tuck to get under the aero break from the front fairing/windscreen? I've seen that you've pegged some longer hours/trips (the snowboard mecca was sweet - btw!), and feel you may be in a better position than most to say at what point the riding position becomes more unbearable than livable, and also at what speed you have to tuck in to hold on. We're about the same height and size (according to what I heard in another vid) - I'm an inch shorter. Thanks again for all the great content! Keep riding!
Awesome - thanks so much for the info! Very helpful! I would normally be riding anywhere from short errands - 10-20 minutes - all the way up to weekend rides of 1-2 hours. Does it seem livable up to that amount of time (normal sportbike discomfort notwithstanding...)? Also been looking at upgrading to the AGV Veloce, which I see you've had for a bit. What do you think of it after riding with it for so long? Thanks again!
That sounds about right. I know its higher $ for a smaller displacement vehicle. But you are in fact getting something quite special. Make sure you keep it! I love the triple sound! I love my '96 VFR750 because not a lot of bikes have gear driven cams. The whine of the V4 is heavenly. Cheers mate.
Hey buddy! Great video. I want to know how tall you need to be to flat foot a 1299 panigale. Will 5'9.7" do it? Is the panigale so aggressively seated that you can't ride it for a few hours? How long can you ride it without it hurting your back?
Great videos on this channel. Not too long winded and the comparison with whiskey is lovely. May I ask, how tall are you? I'm kinda short at 5'7" and I feel this bike with the seat would take some getting used to.
Really nice review! I my opinion two things would improve this (and future) videos of yours: 1) turning off that automatic aperture/iso/whatever is constantly changing your lighting 2) some 3rd person footage of you riding it Apart from this - as i already said - solid review! Keep it going! Cheers.
as always great video. I replied to an earlier video of yours mentioning I'm looking into a 1299....it's a definite now after holidays. couple questions....how many miles you got on her and have you had to replace and consumables like brakes, chain etc? one last thing.....the jizz machine sticker scares me...hopefully your own and not a common occurrence from other guys when your seen on it ha!
Mr. Dutchman, I just picked up the 1299 a few days ago! it is truly a amazing machine indeed. Have you messed around with the Gearing on your bike? I was thinking of doing down a tooth in the front and 1 one in the rear. I have also been looking at the throttle spacer. Any suggestions to do about the Heat? Maybe exhaust heat wrap? It feels like my ass is on fire sometimes!
I really enjoyed your honest review Moto. First video of yours I watched and it certainly wont be the last. Comparing an expensive, refined & beautiful bike to whiskey at first was a bit bizarre but towards the end it just made sense! I agree with the point you had regarding LC and heated grips when compared to the S1000RR although I would argue that I would happily go without for that glorious V-Twin rumble and plenty of torque!
Fantastic review. Echo'd all my thoughts when it comes to bike reviews and gave me everything I wanted to hear. Well done Also +1 to the italian start thing, my 999 takes a millennium
Interesting. I love Whisky and know quite a lot about Single Malts. Him blending this with motorcycles - something I am just beginning to get into - is amazing!! Subbed.
As said by everyone else here xD You did a freaking amazing job! This is what a sport bike review should be i'm not going out to the track every day!!!!!
Great videos man! I'm getting ready to buy the 1299 . My question is this . Do you like your standard model as is , or would you get the S version if you had to do it again? Money aside of course
I'm tossed between this bike and the s1000rr and for the exact reasons you mentioned, but have you actually held a good enough long term relationship with the s1000rr and if so which do you prefer if given to you.
Love this review, brilliant!! I'm looking at picking up a 1299S next year. Been riding a trusty old RSV Mille for 12 years now so time to move with the times I think. But I wanna stay with the v-twin so the RSV4 isn't going to cut it.
Please can i have some details or a reference to a previous video about 1. Tail tidy 2. Turn signals up front 3. Bar end mirrors Also are you aware of the products youve used being aware for the 959?
***** Appreciate it man! I wish you had more bikes lol I would love to see your true long term owners review on a Super Duke. Let's trade for a while ;)
How does the bike feel when you drive long road trip and also everyday work trip...I mean is it that uncomfortable or is it OK or is it Super....I'm a beginner rider so I want to know whether to buy a sport bike or a cruiser....Plz reply my question...
Moto Dutchman no worries. Thanks man and ride safe.

I totally cracked up when he said that. lolz
This was a great video seriously probably best real life review very unbiased and fair thank u so much and many miles more!

You got my sub for two reasons. 1: the quality and pure awesomeness of the video. 2: the fact that you used the word "gander." Love that word :D
I like this review.
Beautiful as hell bike.
I have never seen a review done in this way, bloody great job mate!! Really enjoyed it.
I'm glad it was entertaining!

I love the Italians! Great bike my friend! I want to get one of those in matte white
***** No doubt!! I raced a Anniversario on my channel the thing was crazy fast! Couldn't believe how much more power that 1299 has. Great video man!
***** Just like you said in the vid you look down and you don't realize you're going that fast haha I too much prefer the matte white or the classic red but I'm a fan of those gold rims :D

I liked the vid as soon as you said "lets get right into it", fricken A+
i agree with what you said. At the end of the day, your gonna be happy you have the bike you actually want. no matter what
hahahhahhaha. You literally described all other reviews of the bike. I love how real you are. You just won a subscriber in your first 15 seconds.
Finally its up! Thanks dudee for listening our request!
Just earned your 1,000th subscriber! Awesome video and incredible production quality. You should be a jounalist for MCN.
Moto Dutchman Sure thing 👊🏻
I truly appreciate your honesty. Great video,

A great bike review! Awesome video work with some excellent slider stuff! But I have a question - How do you keep it so clean?
Very professional review and very informative.
Most sincere review of anything, ever.

i wish more reviews were made this way. thanks man.
Often considered this bike and I very much liked the review. Nice video
I own a MV Agusta F3 800 AGO #137 and I love it.😍
EASTCAMDEN4LIFE how much did the initial purchase cost (USD please)? congrats on owning a rare breed of bike.
1Smoking Lizard thank you and yeah is a rare bike. I paid $17,899
Finally. Finally what I'm looking for
Haha, the mirrors fold only once! Classic..😜
Great video, and opening comments are bang on.
"They do fold, but only once" HAHAHAHA Best line EVER
Never mind! Stumbled upon the negatives of the bike video and you're quite tall. 6'3". Thanks again for great content.
Came for a good review, subbed for the mirror break!
@@Dutchman0 dude you gotta come ride with me one time, finally found a vlogger that lives nearby!
@@Dutchman0 haha, damn it, I knew it was too good to be true. Ride safe, I'm gonna go back to watching the rest of the vids.
Really nice review! I my opinion two things would improve this (and future) videos of yours:
1) turning off that automatic aperture/iso/whatever is constantly changing your lighting
2) some 3rd person footage of you riding it
Apart from this - as i already said - solid review!
Cool, nice review. I am in the honeymoon phase with my Duc ST3 (992). Nice to see the longterm love. Cheers
Thanks for your review Sir!! Awesome job
Best review I've seen in a long while
Absolutely FANTASTIC video
Fantastic review. Echo'd all my thoughts when it comes to bike reviews and gave me everything I wanted to hear.
Well done
Also +1 to the italian start thing, my 999 takes a millennium
Interesting. I love Whisky and know quite a lot about Single Malts. Him blending this with motorcycles - something I am just beginning to get into - is amazing!!
Subbed.
good catch! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
" that abomination that holds your license plate."
i couldn't agree more =)))
As said by everyone else here xD You did a freaking amazing job! This is what a sport bike review should be i'm not going out to the track every day!!!!!
Hey moto does your front tire rub the lower fairings like some 959's do? also have you had any bad luck with the clutch bleeding off?
A great review and brilliant video as always. My biggest gripe has to be the seat, think I may have to pick up an Air Hawk seat pad too.
This is a review worth looking at. Instant sub definetly
Great videos man! I'm getting ready to buy the 1299 . My question is this . Do you like your standard model as is , or would you get the S version if you had to do it again? Money aside of course
Thanks for taking the time to respond back man. I appreciate your insight
Fantastic video. You mentioned that at your height your legs don't hug the hot spots. How tall are you? Thanks
Amazing review by far the best I've seen ever.
I love the whiskey reference! Have you tried TX blended whiskey or TX bourbon? Great and honest review
Thanks man. In your opinion is it true that tis bike requires an aggressive type of riding?
Now Thats A Realistic And Practical Review! Great!
Hi, awesome bike !!! I am hearing a lot about the paint not holding up well, what are your feeling about the paint quality?
Thanks for the info, the paint was the only thing that I had some concerns about and great review, thinking about 959 Panigale or an R1. Thanks again
Thanks again !!!
I'm tossed between this bike and the s1000rr and for the exact reasons you mentioned, but have you actually held a good enough long term relationship with the s1000rr and if so which do you prefer if given to you.
Dutchman, will you please share which mirrors you have? Well done on the review - objective, much appreciated.
They're CRG Arrow bar-end mirrors!
Best bike review I've ever seen.
Love this review, brilliant!! I'm looking at picking up a 1299S next year. Been riding a trusty old RSV Mille for 12 years now so time to move with the times I think. But I wanna stay with the v-twin so the RSV4 isn't going to cut it.
