They released both Whistle and Bombayah on the same day.. and yep the songs supposed to contrast each other.
Whistle was very praised for being quite fresh and original compared to everything there was in kpop at the time. And Boombayah was no questions a instantaneous megahit.

Their Coachella (2019) first night performance is so great. The girls didn't really know how many people would be there for this, their first USA appearance. They were shocked & nervous when they saw the huge crowd. Needless to say..... they killed it. Nothing like these four and a full live band to get a crowd up. As Eric would say "LET'S GO".

Fun fact; the choreography where Rose slides under them on the floor was banned. They don’t do that live and heard that it was a banned move 🫣.. Also “middle fingers up f you pay me” is changed live to “racks on racks, i’m flexin crazy”.

Another thing that is different about these girls is their overall engagement with fans. There's never been anything like it. all of them will just turn on their phones and broadcast talking directly TO fans and taking questions. They do live chats. Lisa & Rose will take questions while they are making lunch. Rose will turn on her phone in an airport lounge and sing into it. NOBODY SOUNDS THAT GOOD singing thru a cell phone speaker. IT'S INSANE!!!! Their engagement level with fans is the highest on earth right now.

I am a rock chick have been a rock chick most of my life. Rammstein, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and AC/DC are just some of my jams. I like the old school rappers like Tupac and Notorious and Cypress Hill. I dislike most of today's rappers their is no depth to them. Yet I love these girls seen them live twice and now got my tickets for both of their London shows. Even paid more this time so my daughter and I are very close to the stage.
Cool going to their shows...I'd love to go, but probably wasted on me, since I have hearing problem with loud sounds...
Could you tell me how to get tickets? They are coming to Melbourne in June next year as one of the final legs of their current Pink Venom Tour, but so far no detail has been released whatsoever about ticket sale. I m worried the tickets could be sold out within hours once they go on sale

There was talk that YG is debuting a new girl group. YG already had a mega awesome girl group called 2ne1 and I thought man the new GG got no chance against 2ne1. Then they released those two debut songs and I was like man that's possibly the GOAT Kpop GG. I am not sure if any GG can match the greatness of Blackpink.

Just FYI, believe it or not, Whistle was their first number 1 hit, where they won their first 3 shows (competing against other hit songs at the time in live shows). They never won a show with Boombayah. I love both songs, but thought you might find interesting the different tastes in Korea (where Whistle initially drew the most attention) and the West (where Boombayah is generally preferred).

These girls are super creative when it comes to the making of videos i remember watching a video where they were watching this back after a few years and they explained alot about the ideas of the video like the windows in the "classroom" especially the middle one and the effect it has was made with water bottles and the scene where Jisoo is sitting against the truck and she looks sweaty was actually her sweating because it was so hot during the making of the video

I was watching a lot of Korean hiphop dance studios , like 1million dance studio, and I keep seeing this cute girl with a blown bubble as the thumbnail in the list of recommendations on the side of the YT page…..but I put it off for days , then I finally clicked on to it , I’ve been a Blink ever since…..no trial period or uncertainty.
They and Kpop in general really rejuvenated my inner youth…..it’s the creativity and respect they have for quality music, especially YG , that I knew immediately this Kpop, would conquer globally all markets.

You're both on your way :-) Now, like so many have stated, and you have mentioned, you're only seeing one dimension, you need to look at their live/stage work. Tokyo Dome or Coachella 2019. And an interesting FYI, BP has no world concert dates in April and the Coachella people attended their concert Sunday night, in person, in Seoul. Hmmmmm......
