Ground and neutral are almost electrically the same. They are tied together back in the breaker panel. Makes no sense why they didn't go ahead an run the ground inside the cabinet.
It is pretty heavy - it's a big steel box after all - but after disassembling and hauling it upstairs I believe the 529lbs is the shipping weight including all of the external components (chiller, blower, air assist compressor, etc.) and crate.
Starting to get exciting! Had to laugh about you having to make your own grounding wire/connection - even high-end products like this . . .

Probably nothing, unless something went wrong - then… well, there's high voltage in there for the LASER tube, so yeah. Dangerous.

Cloudray's website states that this machine is 529 pounds. Is this correct? It seems pretty heave for this size of laser.
