I have been considering buying an A5 cc Pro for a while now, but I am struggling to choose between the two options the shop is offering (standard Android 10 or a flashed version with Google Services support - at a higher cost, of course!). Would you be able to advise if your tutorial is equivalent to the flashed version with Google Play?? You've demonstrated a few of the working gAPPs through the cloning softeware, but which gAPPS DON'T work? (I currently use gMAIL, gMAPS, gDRIVE, gPHOTOS, gCALENDAR). Many thanks, Craig
Hello Buck!T. I know that cect shop have the option to sell the Hisense with Google app preinstalled. But probably it has done with a different method compared to mine. Most of the apps you had mentioned so far are not working: just Gmaps and gcalendar will work properly. If you want to use Gmail you can install BlueMail, it will work great! It will synch your mail using imap.

Everything explained works almost perfectly, but when I try to add the google account as indicated at min 6:40 it tells me that the password or name are incorrect (which is not the case), what could be wrong? Thank you!
I have the same issue. I installed newer version of google account manager from apk pure but the newer versions (newer than version 4) do not show any login area.
I have hisense A7CC what apps did you add to 2 Account? I installed all the files but i can only see. Google play store and it doesn't work. I get this notification This application is a pure 32-bit application and can not run in the current environment. Please add it to 2 accounts assist and go to Appstore to download and install it. And I click download and nothing happens. 😭

Hi. I'm investigating same issue (Hisense A5 Pro CC). I hope I can help you and you can help me as well. For that could you answer 3 questions for me? 1) Were you able to login google account recently before in the same phone? 2) Have you installed Vanced with microG or RUclips Vanced? 3) Do you still have Google Play logged in and are you able to download and install apps from Google Play clone in 2accounts? To questions 1 and 2 my answers are "yes". To question 3 my answer is "yes" initially, and "no" at a later point. I was able to install from Google Play, until I uninstalled an apparently irrelevant chinese app named "Mail". My phone then locked with a white screen. After some ingenuity I got through resurrecting it, but 1-2 days later any install from Google Play got frozen before its download reached 100%. Then I reinstalled 2accounts, and as I had to login Google Play I got this problem with username and password not matching. So I believe in my case this may be because I uninstalled "Mail" or because I installed RUclips Vanced (I don't remember where I read that microG is incompatible with Gapps).

Hi, for those who recently had the "incorrect password" error when trying to login Google in the phone. I have tried Matteo's steps to install GApps, but replacing the 1, 2 and 3rd app for updated ones. Now I don't have the "password" error when trying to login. Instead I get a blank screen as I click on add Google account. Then I have tried to login Google account through Play Store, and it lets me do all the process (no incorrect password error), but at the end it doesn't really login. Anyone has successfully logged in?
@@maoxipingping3505 This morning after turning on the Hisense, I've seen now I'm logged in in Google Play app cloned by 2accounts, but still not in the phone accounts manager. When I try to update apps, their installation is frozen in the process, they never install. Anyone is experiencing this update freezing from Google Play? I think that Matteo's steps 5, 6 and 7 should be done with updated apks as well, but I haven't found these updated mods.
Same issue. I saw you can root the phone on a rooting service website now but I don't know how to find or install the necessary ROM with google play once rooted.
@@AbrahamApell I have given up, I even have stopped using 2accounts. I have found out alternative apps for all Google functionalities except for Wallet and the apps using GMaps APIs (which only implies that you can't use vehicle sharing services), so I can live without Google. As for the root, I looked for info without finding a specific ROM and a safe method for A5 cc pro, so I have discarded this possibility.

In Italy 4g is working perfectly but I heard that a lot of people complaining about 4g frequencies not fully working, so be careful before buying! 2) I don't use banking apps, I can tell you that if this bank app use Google services it will probably not working. 3) so far no, hisense is releasing devices only for China (so without Google play store)
Does this method install Google Play Services ? How would you compare a Hisense A5 with pre-installes Google play vs one after installing Google Play yourself ?
Hi Pn K! This method it's just a workaround. I don't own an Hisense A5 with Google play store preinstalled but I'm pretty sure that that option is better compared to this workaround method! 👍

Could I try this on the original A5? The method for getting Gapps via Root and Magisk doesn't seem to work anymore - Magisk won't allow me to install modules and instead asks to download additional files, which does nothing, and updating Magisk to a more recent version just bricks the phone altogether.

Grazie Matteo. The language upgrade is wonderful. I wish I had known about that when I owned a HiSense A5 Pro, but now I am excited to get a HiSense Pro CC with matte screen protector. Regarding Google Apps, do you know if MigroG works on the HiSense Pro CC ? Molte grazie.

Perhaps in the future you will explain how to install microg and how you made the lockscreen show your local weather in Italian (not Mandarin) even after you debloated the stock weather app. It seems to me that the stock weather app is Mandarin only and not able to be localized even with MoreLocal2. Hi please make a video on how to add more fonts on Hisense eink phones. You cannot but any other fonts than what the system has, if you are outside China. The way which I researched to do is that The fonts which are shown in setting are in System>fonts folder. The font name will start with kmx_ for example kmx_mengmemg. What you need to do is to unlock the system folder as it's in read only mode, then download free android ttf font, rename it to kmx_mengmeng or whatever then overwrite it in fonts folder.

Ciao Federico, gli acquisti in app (nel dettaglio le licenze acquistate in-app) purtroppo non funzionano. Anche io ho lo stesso problema e al momento non c'è modo di farlo funzionare poiché purtroppo l'app richiede servizi google tramite play store!
I'm not able to login with my google account on the phone itself. After adding an existing account and entering the password it simply keeps on repeating my password is incorrect. Using a different account does not resolve the issue. Creating a new one leads to sync issues.
I have the same problem. Impossible to log with my existing account after installation of 001 to 004 at 6'30 in the video ... I started from scratch after after resinstalling my phone
You can also register devices with Google by uploading the GSF ID. There is an adb command to see this ID but it seems to be hidden on the phone (inaccessible) or it might have value 'null'. The quesion is if is possible to view or change it on an unregistered device or to register it in a different way. On a registered device you can reset this ID by deleting the Google play services or after reboot. For developer environments it can be generated but on this phone it doesn't seem to be that easy. If this would succeed it might me possible to login and run all the Gapps directly without any problems..
May be too late to ask, but can someone confirm if google play book works in this way? I really don't want to root my device for that but highly invested in that reading app 😢

Alright guys I bit the bullet and got A7 from cect shop, just arrived today. My impressions : - I uninstalled all chinese stuff without a problem. I didnt do the google services hack, I want to keep it stock as much as possible and see how far I can go before I do that. - I installed aurora app store, and installed kindle and kobo store without a problem. They connected to my accounts and I can access my purchases. - I installed some paid apps from google store. FB reader paid version works without a problem. CDisplayEx paid version installs, but it fails when I start the app checking licence. So paid apps through Aurora store seems case by case. - I installed google maps, it works without login, but since you cant access your account, you dont have access to your saved places etc. - Google play books, RUclips, etc anything that needs your google account doesnt work - I installed Feedly, my RSS reader. It logins to my Google account from browser, and kinda works. But the display is poor. I think this app was optimised for LCD/Amoled screens, so it does some weird lower contrast, which makes it hard to read. - Installed spotify, works without issue - Installed Calibre Sync, a paid app. I could connect to my Synology server through webdav and download my ePub content. This was a deal breaker for me. (if it didnt work) - Installed DSFile to get manga from my Synology server. Works. So far I have some minor gruffs, the contrast problem with apps like Feedly, some apps are not optimized for eInk. Some google account related problems could be solved if I installed google services via sideloading, but didnt go that far yet. I would like to get Play books and CDisplayEx working. I'll mainly use this device for reading, so didn't check with cellular connection yet. I don't get out of the house these days anyway.
Hi Pennington actually I am using alternative browsers (Firefox, Edge...) chrome will not work as you are used to it because it is a Google software. You can try using it on 2account 😉

Al final me lo compre sin saberlo. Aunque lo mas cerca que pude tener Google play fue descargado la app "gspace" y pasar el apk desde un pc. Es facil, no es lo mejor pero funciona bien
i really really really wish, that apple will make an iPhone mini, to a "minimalistic iPhone" with an e ink display and a batterie life of 2 weeks or more. don't need youtube or any other entertainment. just apps which helps you out with information, organization and when really needed youtube for information in black and white 1pps. please. maybe just an kickstarter project with an "send in iPhone and get back with e ink display" would be huge! for me at least and maybe many other people who believe in digital detox or just want longer batterie life.
It could be the best option but you would need to root your phone. Unfortunately root is still not available yet in this phone. I hope to have it soon! 👍

Same issue. Google Account Manager used in the install is ancient and looks to be no longer supported.

Sorry thought this was about installing Google play. Did u try to install Google play on your phone?
Google play store app does not work properly that's why you can use Aurora Store to download apps. Google play store works only for downloading ebooks

Same issue. I saw you can root the phone on a rooting service website now but I don't know how to find or install the necessary ROM with google play once rooted.
@@AbrahamApell I have given up, I even have stopped using 2accounts. I have found out alternative apps for all Google functionalities except for Wallet and the apps using GMaps APIs (which only implies that you can't use vehicle sharing services), so I can live without Google.
As for the root, I looked for info without finding a specific ROM and a safe method for A5 cc pro, so I have discarded this possibility.

Personally I don't use Koboapps but as long as you don't use Google Services it should be working properly.

Could I try this on the original A5?
The method for getting Gapps via Root and Magisk doesn't seem to work anymore - Magisk won't allow me to install modules and instead asks to download additional files, which does nothing, and updating Magisk to a more recent version just bricks the phone altogether.

Hi Guillaume! First you have to install apk of aurora store. Do not use appstore (it is the default chinese app store, it is not necessary)!

Hi please make a video on how to add more fonts on Hisense eink phones. You cannot but any other fonts than what the system has, if you are outside China.
The way which I researched to do is that
The fonts which are shown in setting are in System>fonts folder. The font name will start with kmx_ for example kmx_mengmemg. What you need to do is to unlock the system folder as it's in read only mode, then download free android ttf font, rename it to kmx_mengmeng or whatever then overwrite it in fonts folder.

I'm not able to login with my google account on the phone itself. After adding an existing account and entering the password it simply keeps on repeating my password is incorrect. Using a different account does not resolve the issue. Creating a new one leads to sync issues.

I started from scratch after after resinstalling my phone
You can also register devices with Google by uploading the GSF ID. There is an adb command to see this ID but it seems to be hidden on the phone (inaccessible) or it might have value 'null'. The quesion is if is possible to view or change it on an unregistered device or to register it in a different way. On a registered device you can reset this ID by deleting the Google play services or after reboot. For developer environments it can be generated but on this phone it doesn't seem to be that easy. If this would succeed it might me possible to login and run all the Gapps directly without any problems..

Alright guys I bit the bullet and got A7 from cect shop, just arrived today. My impressions :
- I uninstalled all chinese stuff without a problem. I didnt do the google services hack, I want to keep it stock as much as possible and see how far I can go before I do that.
- I installed aurora app store, and installed kindle and kobo store without a problem. They connected to my accounts and I can access my purchases.
- I installed some paid apps from google store. FB reader paid version works without a problem. CDisplayEx paid version installs, but it fails when I start the app checking licence. So paid apps through Aurora store seems case by case.
- I installed google maps, it works without login, but since you cant access your account, you dont have access to your saved places etc.
- Google play books, RUclips, etc anything that needs your google account doesnt work
- I installed Feedly, my RSS reader. It logins to my Google account from browser, and kinda works. But the display is poor. I think this app was optimised for LCD/Amoled screens, so it does some weird lower contrast, which makes it hard to read.
- Installed spotify, works without issue
- Installed Calibre Sync, a paid app. I could connect to my Synology server through webdav and download my ePub content. This was a deal breaker for me. (if it didnt work)
- Installed DSFile to get manga from my Synology server. Works.
So far I have some minor gruffs, the contrast problem with apps like Feedly, some apps are not optimized for eInk.
Some google account related problems could be solved if I installed google services via sideloading, but didnt go that far yet. I would like to get Play books and CDisplayEx working.
I'll mainly use this device for reading, so didn't check with cellular connection yet. I don't get out of the house these days anyway.

Hi Pennington actually I am using alternative browsers (Firefox, Edge...) chrome will not work as you are used to it because it is a Google software. You can try using it on 2account 😉

Al final me lo compre sin saberlo. Aunque lo mas cerca que pude tener Google play fue descargado la app "gspace" y pasar el apk desde un pc. Es facil, no es lo mejor pero funciona bien
i really really really wish, that apple will make an iPhone mini, to a "minimalistic iPhone" with an e ink display and a batterie life of 2 weeks or more. don't need youtube or any other entertainment. just apps which helps you out with information, organization and when really needed youtube for information in black and white 1pps. please. maybe just an kickstarter project with an "send in iPhone and get back with e ink display" would be huge! for me at least and maybe many other people who believe in digital detox or just want longer batterie life.
