motor generates a rotational force that is torque. to calculate the power required you should calculate the torque first and then power= torque* angular velocity. You did not calculate angular velocity. you calculated liner speed that is not right when you are calculating motor power requirnment. all other calculation was perfect . thanks for it.

Beltpull in Newton mulplied by belt speed in m/sec divided by 1000 is Kw of the motor. Why did you make it so complicated ? 1 Newtown = 9.81 Kg.

Nicely explained...one clarification required which is,
required belt pull should be divided by friction coefficient (0.5) in order to take care of belt friction, so that to increase the weight calculation, isn't it????

0.5 se divide nahi , multiply hai. Ek mistake hua hai calculation me -195.84 ki jagah 228.18 ho gya.
