All the deck lists are posted in the description! What do you think is a deck that has a good chance of rising to the top? Let me know if I missed anything!!
Green Palp and Blue Han are my favourites. But I would like to somehow get Capture and Dryden Vos to work. I tried everything with Boba Green or Jabba, but these mechanics are just too bad. I hope there are coming a few more cards that will make this work better.
@@isben0 Nice both great decks! I really like Blue Han as well. Yeah I wish capture was a little better. Yeah Boba Green is in a bit of an identity crisis right now, and I have not been able to get Jabba to work consistently either unfortunatley.
@SWUDAD I think with some tweaks tarkin is still up there in the meta, and once people stop sticking the 25hp bases on everything then I feel like a few other decks will throw their hats in the ring as well like kylo and GI can both aggro well but everyone seems to want to play the 25hp bases and lose the race
On a first casual testing I had some fun with Rey Red and Force focus. I even played Guarian of the Whills. I played it without the discard but with Jedi Lightsaber and The Force is With me. Yeah, they once were dead cards but still it is some nice fun if you always have force units out. I hope next set we get more cards that target Force units and make such a deck more viable :) I only own one Poe and no Krayt, so I had to fill the gap somehow. Guess I'll need to invest a bis because those Han decks you play sure look fun.
I definitely think in set 3 we will get a ton of "Force" support which I can't wait for. Yeah Krayt Dragon is a lot of fun. The price has gone down a lot. I think its only around $30 now, which is still a bit pricey but a lot better than $60 where it started at.
@@SWUDAD I think that's why fang fighter is popping up in so many deck lists, even out of aspect, it is one of the best ways to prevent sabine blowing you out with saber but I would think you'd just go confiscate tbh...I guess it is about the bodies in this meta though
@@callumvaughan-floyd7711 Yeah agreed. Confiscate or even fang fighter are almost necessary in most decks right now as a way to prevent that card from destroying you
I've been playing Bossk green. Traitorous was actually my first cut. I never seemed to have a good target for it. And at the 5/6 resource turn I was, depending on my build at the time, tryi g to ecl out either Jango, trandoshans or kylo instead
Yeah I hear that. On the video that I recently did Traitorous was really really strong especially when my opponent pumped up a unit, or put a dark saber on one. It's an easy resource decision in games where it isn't relevant. But I definitely get your point, sometimes it's not useful.
@@darthpanda0 I tried blue out recently. It did okay, But it just couldn’t beat aggro which is a big problem I”ll give red a shot, but I would be worried about the same issue. Sabine is just a powerhouse right now
Currently trying many match up for a vador green deck. So far it is good. I think i migth go with it ofr next tournament of 60peoples or maybe hanbleu.... my vador is manly sentinnel + heal with salcious and col Yularen + reinforcement walker. Still wondering space if i put 3kylo or interceptor. For ground, still thinking of Rukth or Darth maul... i may share soon to get your feedbacks ;)
Yeah please do. Would love to compare notes and help the best I can. Personally, I would be very hesistant to play Vader Green right now. I would probably want to play "Confiscate" to deal with Darksaber Han Blue seems like a good choice as it has decent matchups across the board except for Palpatine.
As a TCG card player of many different games. Most of the cards needed to play these lists need reprints.. The card prices of the staples that are Legendary are insane ..
Oh yea 100% agree. Hopefully, they will get the supply issue figured out soon. I also hope that someday they adopt a system like pokemon has where you can buy the "great" cards for cheap so that you can play the game competitively, and if you are more of a collector you can buy the more expensive version (Hyperspace) of the same card for that purpose. I think they tried to adopt that system to a certain extent with hyperspace/hyperspace foils, but the main issue is the lack of supply right now and underestimating how popular this game would become.
Agreed on Sabine. 0/12/16/8/3/3 unit pool with Cass as a pseudo 5drop feels optimal or close to it. Pathfinder is the weakest (or rather least good) unit IMO, but until we get another above-rate rebel 2 drop its BiS I think, and you do need all 12 (preferably all rebel) 2-drops.
As not only a Sabine player since set 1 release but also a huge rebels fan (my sons name in Kanan, and if we had a daughter her name would have been Sabine) it really sucks to see Sabine played so much and to hear so many people speak of it with so much hate. I got that it was present a lot in set 1, with no legendries is was a cheap way to be competitive. These other decks listed ALL win tournaments. Even Gencon day 1 when the Sabine swarm was present they STILL didn't win 1st. Sabine probably will at some point, but I feel like all the hate is a little unjustified. We place well but aren't some undefeatable overpowered deck that some seem to suggest. I never wanted to play Boba Green in set 1 because it was the eyeroll "oh THAT deck that everyone plays and wins every tournament", and am a little bummed that Sabine is getting that treatment now, but without all the tournament wins lol. Here's to hoping Hera picks up in set 3 or 4 so my favorite characters aren't the target of so much hate. REBELS!
That's awesome that your son's name is Kanan!! I hear ya. The Sabine list that I posted right now went 6-1 at Gencon, and I think a lot of people will mimic this list going forward because it's extremely good, which will result in more tournament wins. I like Sabine actually. Loved Sabine Yellow in set 1, and still enjoy that deck. "Darksaber" plus "Poe", plus "Wrecker" has just made the deck incredibly strong. It's not Sabine's fault lol. It's really more ECL plus those cards, although a Sabine with a Darksaber is incredibly strong
Yeah as I was making this video I started to think about other card games like MTG for example. Hand disruption can be very powerful, but you have "Counter Spells" to prevent hand disruption from destroying the game. Currently, in this game there is not form of "Countering" hand disruption other than "Tech" and the smuggle mechanic. Hopefully, they figure out a creative way to prevent cards like "Pillage" from being very oppressive as more and more cards are printed.
Sparks of rebellion lets you discard what you want for just 2 and you have no problem with that? Cunning on top of everything let you discard one card at RAMDOM. It's so much worse. Pillage is counter by smuggle and if discard didn't exist, the meta would be just aggro and hard control.
The thing I like about this game though is that any deck can play "Spark of Rebellion" at 2, 4, or even 6 cost in hard control decks. Where as in other games like MTG "Thoughtseize" for example can only be played in black decks.
Pillage is a skill check on the game, it tests if you can play around hand rip without losing all your advantage and plays. A discard 2 when you are drawing 2 a turn is not a lot in the grand scheme, it only works well because of the skill check

Perhaps I’m missing something here, but Darth Vader can only bring into play villany units, so the combo with speeder is not legal when playing Bossk
Yea you can't get the Landspeeder. Mispoke on that.
