@@HaynesManuals pleased to say all went well with the aid of this video. There was a few subtle differences as mine is a diesel, but otherwise spot on. I do feel you missed out a few critical points though, scraping my knuckles and swearing a lot !

How long did it take?
Book say $ 900 to $1200 to do job
Just a heads up, this does not work for the S models. The pulleys are located too close to the side of the car. This video only works with the 1.5 3 cyl.
Whats the fancy looking socket used at 6:40?
It nothing fancy, just one big enough to act on the hex whilst pulling the spacer through

Jesus Christ!!!!! Now I know why they charge me an arm and a leg to change the alternator on my wife mini!!!! You basically have to pull the car apart
Makes me miss my Jeep YJ…. 🙄
