Hello, I enjoy your videos and have been using them as part of my study for the exam I plan to take soon. I had a question by chance. You mentioned Pam Turner videos you also used as reference. With the videos being conducted in 2019 and the test being updated in 2020. Do you feel that the information from her videos were still relevant for the 2022 NCE?
I took the 2022 NCE and I found that most of her videos were still relevant

Hi. What field of counseling/career choice did you go into once you passed the test?
I've been in community mental health for a few years
i wonder if it's a timed test and if so, how much time do you get ? From the way you described it, sounds like your on video (like zoom) if you take it online? Imagining those circumstances, i can feel my anxiety 😅
You can take it in person or online but I think the time limit is 3 hours 45 minutes for both

I'd better get on memorizing the encyclopedia of counseling 😬trying to get as far as I can without attention deficit disorder medication. Made it through all the coursework, just a little farther to go. If it doesnt work after my first try, then I'll look into getting a counselor for myself before resorting to medication again. I got this 💪
Im scheduled to take my exam at a Pearson Center on October 23rd, 2023. I graduate Dec 9th, 2023.
I pray I pass! Im in the middle of completing Internship II & studying for the NCE. Im trying to get at least 5hrs of studying in every day. Im down to 28 days!
How long do you study for leading up to the test? Meaning, do you study every day, every other day, and for how long if you dont mind me asking?
I started studying about 5 months before the exam and studied a few hours probably 3-4 days out the week for the first few months then did another in depth review the week before

Did you have to take a picture of your computer as well? If so how were you able to do that? With your cellphone or do you need an additional web cam with your computer? I take my exam soon and it will be at home and I just want to know the process..
I used my phone to take pictures of myself, the table I was sitting at and the room I was in and After the proctor logged on I had to use my webcam to show them the room I was in again
Ok thanks! So just to clarify you take a picture on your phone of you entire testing area including your computer? And then you take your webcam and go around the entire room correct? Thanks for your help!

Would taking the test in July be considered the Spring or Fall?
I think that might be considered Fall but I’m not 100% sure
Did the test have alot of diagnosing /ethics in it ?
When I took it there wasn’t a lot of diagnosing but there’s a decent amount of ethics
Do you know what a passing score on the NCE is ?
It changed depending on how many questions are scored but I saw that usually 98-105 is passing
