I couldn't find these exact earbuds anymore because they're old like me but here's the upgraded ones for even cheaper!
amzn.to/2t7g8bG - Yes, I'll make a little money if you use this link to buy something. Thanks if you do! 😬
The same process can be used for most brands of earbuds on the market today. I hope this helps someone having any questions on cleaning steps they might take to ensure proper function of their wireless earbuds!

Great video! I'd recommend removing the tarnish (copper oxide) on the copper terminals using chemical means, rather than mechanical (scraping). This can lead to scraping of some of the underlying copper away with each cleaning, as copper is a relatively soft metal.
Any non-oxidizing acid will do the trick. I've found that HCl (pool cleaner) at ~30% concentration works best, by dipping a Q-tip in it and rubbing over the terminals. But since not everyone is comfortable with handling strong acids, acetic acid (vinegar) will do just as well. These acids dissolve the oxide, but are unreactive towards the underlying copper. In either case, rinse them with water after cleaning.
For getting rid of ear wax, electronic contact cleaner works slightly better than the isopropanol used in the video, but truthfully it's a really minor improvement. If you have some laying around (MG chemical 404 contact cleaner), might be worth testing it out.

I wouldn’t scratch those connectors with a knife. They have a thin layer of gold just on r the the surface for maximum conductivity. Once you scratch through that thin layer of gold foil, they will start to corrode immensely. Mostly because of the salt in your sweat, mixed with electrolyzes. I’ve noticed this a lot on my Apple chargers little gold fingers where you plug it into the phone. I have made the mistake of scratching the surface and those fingers will corrode and turn green and not take a charge anymore

@Nordin First, thank you for watching. I have a couple things I would tell you. 1. Be careful wearing them to bed. I have a good friend that ended up with a terrible ear canal infection from doing that. If you do wear them to bed, I would recommend washing your hands thoroughly and then gently wiping down the silicone tips with at least 50% isopropyl alcohol each night before you put them in for bed. 2. The Galaxy Buds really don't have that great of sound to begin with so you're right in saying they probably lose sound quality with even the slightest wax buildup. There are memory foam tips you can buy that have that protective mesh in them that you talked about with the Apple airpods. I've not tried them yet but I see mostly good reviews. As a side note, I tried the Apple airpods pro for a while and didn't like them. Aside from looking terrible in my ears, I wasn't impressed with their function with my Android phone. No surprise I guess. What I did like with them was the noise cancelling feature was very nice for tuning out my kids at times! 😊💯 Thanks for watching and best of luck!

I'm not sure I'd use hand sanitizer much. They use fillers to gel the alcohol and I'm guessing that would clog the very small ports in the buds. Over time this may hurt the performance.

Don't use hand sanitizer because it has an ingredient in there to turn the alcohol into a gel which leaves a residue. Not sure what to have you do now that you've already done it other than possibly using 91% alcohol. You may have ruined them.

@@GriffinBenchmark Also using alcohol on cheaper silicone tips can stain them, in my experience. Not sure if it effects the higher quality ones, although since it’s something you don’t usually throw away even after the earbuds may break, hand soap works just as well. It can also stain or ”melt” some plastic shells. Happened on my jbl on ear headphones when i spilled som onto the right Shell. Since earbuds or headphones is something you dont have for more than a couple of years. You probably wont see any effect on using alcohol unless the plastig reacts right away. Most commonly something else Will break before. Great video

These are an improvement over the 1st gen buds. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxK5mc3yw4xA7Mf2j6k6n1Uqv_KUgrKdeM Pros: The fit is fantastic. This is the biggest plus. They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.
