    Dope video, question: can someone tell me whats the alternative jjos to version 5.53 as they don't sell passwords anymore for it

    I had version this old JJOS that let you edit the decay of a sample using the "whole program" function technique. But since going to 3.16 free its gone. I am about to purchase a license for OS3, does it include this feature?
    It was so helpful when chopping drum loops. Being able to bring this super short to decay to every chop could drastically transform the loop. Really missing that feature. I would use it when doing live sessions.

    How exactly do I switch from os2xl to os3 at startup? Don't want to mess anything up....

      With the Compact Flash card with the OS data in the MPC1000, turn the power on while holding down the WINDOW button. Pres the REC button. The MPC1000 will start processing the update and will then re-boot automatically with the new OS. I put mine on my machine though so I can load it without the card if I ever lost it or it got corrupted.

    what is different using the JJOS3 over JJOSxl? How is the swing on this OS?

    • @illmuzik
      @illmuzik  2 года назад +1

      They're very similar. Both OS's have features that the other one doesn't but is a must-have for some. The swing is fine. I usually keep mine around 67.

      It’s a big difference feature wise… xl has no mix down feature for starters 03 allows you to use the giant aftermarket screen with tons more features. However, OS 2 does have the mix-down feature. Once you get both you can switch between them at start up.

      Of course it has mixdown: www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/os2xl/mixdown.htm

      @@illmuzik OS1and OS2 do not share the same mixdown features... OS3 and and OS2 do though. OS1 has digital faders to mix. OS2 and OS3 you can bounce a wav file with one button.

      Still exploring some new features of OS3 but so far it's pretty similar. Not sure yet.

    How do you track out your beats??

    • @illmuzik
      @illmuzik  2 года назад +1

      I do each track and/or pad at a time, just my loops, not an entire song length.
