    Well guys. Big problem. I bought mpc 1000 jjos 2 xl. But in trim mode pads dont navigate thru chops. Pad 10 play selected sample chop but have to hold it. 6 play chop normaly. 11 play end of the chop and pad 7 play chop in reverse. Is my mpc broken????

    Thanks for the insights. Oh man, I figured it out how to change the number of chops in non-destructive chopping... So when 'CHOP' is on, press F5 / Slice, and on the next screen you can turn down the slice count (2-32). Then press 'Do it' / F6 and you're back in the non-destructive chopping window with let's say 8 or 16 evenly spaced chops reaching over the whole sample.
    I also just looked into the manual cause same as you, I did never really get it, but also didn't want to accept that it's not possible. And somehow it is explained in the manual, but well, we all know that he's not a native speaker, so it doesn't become chrystal clear unless you carefully read it 3-4 times :D And it's counter-intuitive because one would think that 'slice' would bring one back to destructive chopping, but it doesn't :)

      Well the issue is that once it's sliced, like you said you can go back and hit Slice again, but once you go out of the chop window and then go back in, it's gone. Did you check this one I did recently? ruclips.net/video/BnpxW75u7vM/видео.html I'm getting confused now just looking back and the videos I did lol.

      @@illmuzik Ah ok, thanks for pointing to that 2nd video. In the 1st video (this one, the one I commented on) you didn't say anything about slice and just said
      that it defaults to 32 slices, so I thought you didn't know it was even possible to reduce the amount of slices in non-destructive (at least I didn't know until like yesterday or so :D ).
      Regarding the 2nd video which you linked: Actually, when you slice down to let's say 4 chops, in the background there are nevertheless 32 chops, so in the top row, you can still dial beyond chop 4 and select chop 5 and so on.
      So instead of rechopping, you could take chop 5 and adjust the start and end point to where you would put your custom slice. That way, chops 1-4 will remain the same, and 5 will give you the sub-slice so to say. That would be a workaround and you'd have to manually adjust chop 5 (or 5 + 6 to equally divide let's say chop 2), but at least chops 1-4 remain untouched...

    Is it possible to lazy chop (aka manual chop) with jjos?

    • @michaelbain6402
      @michaelbain6402 4 года назад

      Yes it is. You need to have the right JJOS version to lazy chop .

      @m7z832i4r2r f87y293 I remember reading on JJs site that OS3 comes as a free upgrade if you have JJOS2XL. Just make sure it's OS3 and not 3.16! Some piece of shit burnt me saying my current MPC had OS3 when I bought it, when it was just the free version

    Can you use RCA to 3.5mm cables on this model without a turntable?

    • @TayTayMakesBeats
      @TayTayMakesBeats 3 года назад

      I don't know about the 2500 but on the 1000 it takes dual left and right ¼"/6.5mm jacks both for analog input and output. There is also a digital out which takes a single RCA type cable but I have no idea how that works since RCAs are usually in pairs for stereo.

    •  3 года назад

      @@TayTayMakesBeats they both (2500 & 1000) take 6.55mm adapters i got a 5000 and it take digital and stereo RCA jacks

      @@TayTayMakesBeats the digital in and out is for a coaxial spdif cabel. Allot of soundcards and CD/DVD players can be connected that way. Great if you want really great quality samples.
