There is definitely a need in the 2500/1000, JJOS community. I have had these units for 2 years now, and no one has demonstrated this feature like this...thanks and keep.up th dope work
I got my 2500 a couple months ago, coming from FL Studio and then MPC One. I could not figure out the time stretch on this unit, so I'd just been making beats without it. Pitching, adjusting tempos between sequences lol it was a mess. I just watched this video and immediately after made my first time stretched beat on the 2500!!! 🥳🎉 Thanks a lot.

Dope video. I was a 2500 user for 17 years, and never knew the music 3 preset made the time-stretch cleaner. If the 2500 had sidechain compression, I would still be using it to this day!
Jjos xl has lazy chop bro have to keep the sample once you sample in, then go to program mode, turn chop on and press play with the f buttons and while it’s playing hit the pads to chop while playing

3 days ago, you right on time! Been an FL Studio head for over 10 years and recently copped an MPC1000 cause Ive wanted one in the arsenal for years. You right about Serato Sample though. I just got that a few months ago and BRO, if they had that when I was learnin back on FL7... makes sampling a breeze 😂
@@bonafidebeatz20 Im to where I am still just learnin my way around JJOS2XL and sample dumping to the hard drive every couple days. Really impressed by the simplicity and form factor of the 1000 in 2023. Its still an insanely effective medium and is essentially a DAW in a box. I find the limitations refreshing from a creativity side. FL I sometimes just be overwhelmed with the endless options at my disposal. Probably gonna get an SP 303 next just for its effects to use in combo with the 1000. Might get a 404 in the future but I feel like FL plus the MPC enough to keep in my head features and workflow-wise for the next year or two
Thank you for the vids. Curious, have you played around with Real-time Time Stretch in OS3? I'm still new to it but would it be easier than this method in XL?
Love yo - and yep I actually tried it out for a bit .os3 a game changer . And it would be easier but you also lose key features that OSXL has. It’s a parameter thing that JJOS had to cut certain features to allow particular ones….So depending on your workflow, - which one are you willing to sacrifice to get the job done…so in that regard JJOSxL has way more benefits. But who knows, one day I may use OS3 lol
Yo @ Bonafide Beatz I use the time stretch on my 2500 and tobe honest it comes in handy on the 2500 when you on JJOSXL . You should see how the timeStretching sucks on the 2000xl .
The 1000 is great for its size and it’s built like a tank. What had me sold on the 2500 was all of its I/Os. All the buttons laid out for its form factor. And believe it or not - the jog wheel. No regrets yo 💯💯💯
@@jameshardy5578 you’ll need a compact flash reader…they’re cheap on Amazon…plug that up to your pc and you can download & drop the latest software from JJOS…when you pop into the mpc, select it and it’ll start the update

@@bonafidebeatz20 I know the XL version does. You have to sample first, then lay the chops down afterwards. There’s a video that explains it.
