been loving the videos, you deserve to have many more followers. Akai should reach out to ya, great explanation of the advanced workflows of the touch. and bangin beats as always! thank you.
I dont remember where I go this tip from but its a good one. You can map the filter cutoff of your hihats to a knob and just ride the knob for a some bars or a verse or the song. It can make a very plain pattern come alive. It's a joy to see you work.
Didn't realize how handy that swing feature it is at changing the flow if the beat. Been doing it manually using no quantization, but may have to try this soon. Cool tips as usual!!
Drum programming is where its at.. Just got mine mpc one and little by little things are falling in to place....T.C. Off when setting up drums then shift them singley does amazing work flow. Thanks for the tips..dope beats by the way.
Yeah man, as soon as I get one of these, I will come right to your videos to learn this machine inside and out. Thank you so much for these videos mpc head. These are like the goose that laid the golden egg to me. I cannot wait to dig deep into this 10th wonder of a machine. I get so excited watching these videos, and you helping me learn by teaching me how to use this baby, is simply amazing, for real. I can't stop thinking about this and the bke beat thang too, but this is on the market, and I have been waiting for this machine my whole entire life, and now it is a reality. Thanks again, I'll owe you one then, and I will give you a shout out when I get on. Look out for me then...
Hey marlow great video man, im new on MPC and cant seem to figure out how you got "velocity" to show up in the grid view, mine only has "automation" and to do velocity i have to click each individual midi note. Please lmk if theres a setting to change or how i can adjust multiple midi notes velocity at once? thanks!

Great video and great teacher, I'm a big fan of your channel! I know this is off topic, but i'm curious about the round / mellow / warm sub bass at the end, you use (that dilla/madlib style of bass). I've spent hours of trying to emulate that sound e.g. in Monark, then saturate it and then refilter with low pass again. When filtering too much, it is missing the low end. Any advice or tutorial about this type of bass would be really helpful. I know you probably use a sample, but how do you edit it to sound so fat? Thanks!
Thank you. But you can assign the velocity to the attack position. This makes them harder, = more transient / softer you hit = less transient because of the sound will start from after the transient...
If you are interested on how I make videos I have a video on my channel explaining that ruclips.net/video/nOQpRo4509s/видео.html I record the audio separately into my daw and then put everything together in davinci resolve
@@mpchead Cool! DaVinci is the best program that I know. I was asking because sometimes the sound of some instruments seem to be captured by mics, not thru cables That's all. And yes, I want to shoot some tutorials here, too. So, thank you very much for the tip. And thank you for your videos.
It looks like for a majority of the drum programming, you were moving the events freely without holding down No Snap? How were you able to move those events, without them snapping to the grid? Thanks in advance!
Kind of late to this, so sorry, but does the “Offset” function on the Live essentially work the same way? I’ve been toying around w it and got some good results but I’m trying to learn it all! Dope vids and very helpful!
You cant create 'Swing' thru 'Velocity, velocity does not move events L/R on the Graph, it has to do with Volume. (:54 in to video) ....you probably mean the using the 'velocity grid, just trying to polish whats 'heard, facts are important with many listeners. Great Video BTW! Fast - Great View - To the point!!
Hello everybody. Do U think that if I Have MPC LIVE 2 I can make mastering for my song's and my album will be ready for distribution ? Please send me answer, do I need send my song's for miks and Mastering for something ? I have ambition and I make this a lot of years but I never think about it, cause I never believed for PC ( DAW ), I STILL SAYD THAT ONLY MPC CAN MAKE REAL RAP UP AND NOW I HAVE MPC LIVE 2,BEFORE MPC X AND BLA BLA BLA, BUT I WANT SELL MY SONG'S. WHY NOW ? IF I MAKE RAP ABOUT 20 YEARS? BECAUSE I SAY MANY YEARS AGO I LOVE IT WHEN I'LL BE READY FOR IT I DO ALBUM. NOW I HAVE MPC AND MY WORKFLOW IS OK 👌SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Míchele Cobré Anything pretty much he is doing on mpc live you can do on mpc 5000. You have to dig into your settings and manual. Tip use list mode to nudge.
That swing is craaazy!
I had to check this out again it’s been some years since I saw it and I’m still taking notes 📝 🔥👊🏾
So much wow in one post. Eye give Th Ankhs 🕶️💜

PEACE.

Thanks for your time, man. Love these videos...
Thanks so much for recommending Track Lib. Excellent subscription to sign up to. I never knew it existed. 🤘🏻🙌
The hardest part of making boombap is getting the drums to sound authentic
Always enjoyed and learned from your tutorials. You are a true Jedi Master of the mpc touch/live.

true programming man, love the fact you do each note kind of manually.
ooh changing the attack on some of the sounds, that's a good tip, never thought about that.

Thanks for letting me see your processes. Really helps me understand what it takes to build a beat vibe with the rhythm. Appreciate you man! 🙏🏽
Can you process the pattern and add swing after you've programmed it already?
Yes absolutely
@@mpchead ok, how would I go about that? If you could give me a short walkthrough
Great video. Whats the effect you use at the end?
I gotta a question: The sound from MPC is not direct to the video, right?
I mean, we are hearing from a microphone?
Or it's both?

Yes offset should be the exact same
Im a programmer more than a live player. This is me now. After watching your recent vids would you say this is still true for self Bro?
I'm still a programmer. But I like to hit the pads
What's the best tempo and swing to use especially if you want to make late 80s and early 90s golden age hip hop multi layer sampling instrumentals
You said it 80 to 90's bpm :) that's what I use anyway
@@mpchead i was talking eras in years i didn't think that was the bpm's
@@lexuswade7471 what about on quantization?
@@lexuswade7471 how does quantization works
@@lexuswade7471 you mean grid off of mpc 5000?
how do you turn off the quantize? I got the mpc live I heard its almost the same as the touch!!
That's it, or just hold down the repeat button and select to TC from the lower part of the screen (have no value highlighted)
Dude i love your beats! Where can i get them to enjoy them?
link is in the bio but you can search for liqidu on spotify and/or other platforms.🙏
