the microwave cookin hot pocket reference in regards to producing is SPOT ON. there's something different about creating with the mpc. it gets out of your way and in your way at the same time and makes you stop to think. instead of those 19 second FL trap beats... nothing wrong with that, just not my tea.
Yep the mpc is way more intentional for creativity…It continues to get better everytime I use it lol

This channel is mad inspiring g, I been on Maschine for about 5 years and I can definitely relate to the stuff you spoke about in the limitations video. I’m thinking about getting the mpc 1000 with the JJos and a sp mk2 for processing
My guy appreciate it. And yeah that’s how it started with me as well. Coming from FL, the mpc 1000 + JJOS was a steep learning curve. But it was the best transition. Kept me creative more than ever 💯

The release acts like a micro “fade out” from your decay. 20 release is usually a safe point. It helps with “clicks and “pops”….but in certain cases, if your chops have a gap between each other, setting your release to 0 will fill in that gap…cool lil trick

Are you compressing the mpc with the sp404? I’m trying to make my mpc have that crunch you have my guy
Yep got a lil compression happening on the sp404 with the vinyl compression. But also got compression from the Tascam mixer and an ssl compressor from UAD on the compressor.
But yeah you can definitely get some sweet compression from just the sp404 vinyl sim

Lol the cheap way. The 2500 got like 10 on board effects. But with some tweaking you can put a lil depth in the image…comes in handy for those mono samples

How do you get every single track from the MPC to the DAW? For example track 1 snare track 2 hihat track 3 kick track 4 sample 1 etc.
Do you have to configure this in the MPC the mixer and the DAW ?
Yep you have to configure each mpc track to an assignable out in program. Then from there have an rca cable go from the back of your mpc go into your interface.
