Piss poor move that could have killed someone.
Rear ending someone is a piss poor move. Also taking a shortcut through pit lane is a piss poor move.
Well, he had a choice, hit the Porsche or hit the wall. He chose the wall.
The Vette WAS straight line faster, obviously not cumulatively faster. This is something that plays out with Porsches all the time. They fly through corners and lag on straights.
Also, you can see how the Vette quickly made a gap after the illegal pass.
The Porsche was in the way, and the Vette saw only red mist... the rest is history.
@@focussport Which the Porsche owes to the modification of the platform effectively making it a mid-engine vehicle. That isn't a 911 on the track, it's a one-off architecture allowed in order to keep Porsche in winning contention.
Yeah; that was a bitch move on the #45 at the final stretch.
You guys react herbie fully loaded nascar race
Enjoyed this and remember it vividly
Would love for you guys to comment on a Hooters Pro Cup Series race & tie it back to your thoughts about what classic stockcar short track racing can/should be
Corvettes 👍
Took care of those blinding head and fog lights
The corkscrew is great fun but the last corner is SO slow coming on to the "straight"
You think that last corner will be a great place to pass but for some reason it isnt.
Porsche loses because of his fault
Extreme favoritism is shown to
Porsche in the auto industry.
Wether the media or motorsports
Wow that was crazy
Vette clearly had more power... but the better control of the Porche just balanced out the racing...
The best of both worlds collide!
Yeah, but which pit crew won the brawl afterward??
Pay atention to headlights. Everyone is so bright except for the 911, it's different
corvette number one
I thought you weren't allowed to intentionally block or wreck someone, which is exactly what the Porsche did. He knew he was gonna be passed into the final flag so he pitted the corvette into the wall after a back bump. How is this not an auto DQ for the Porsche? And a ban.
But yet the corvette was intentionally hitting the Porsche. You're pretty biased. 😂
@@chriscordray8572 he got tired of that slow piece of shit Porsche blocking every corner and straight. Any driver would eventually bump and run his ass. If you can't tell the difference between that aggressive driving and intentionally crashing another car I guess your pretty stupid.
Would like to see the race from Love's RV Stop 250 on October of 2012 🤘🏁
Sonoma is a great technical track to drive but it's unforgiving if you get it wrong.
This was Laguna Seca not Sonoma.
@@Americathebeautiful49 yes. They mentioned Sonoma.
@@Scoots1994is your comment a general one about the track or about this clip? the racetrack in this clip is absolutely positively laguna seca. If you think its sonoma (formerly sears point) you dont know much about racing. (Nothing personal)
@@johnlucier5654 They were talking about Sonoma. Maybe you don't know about listening? (nothing personal)
@@Scoots1994 no they werent talking about sonoma, they were talking about the driver and he said he first saw him at sonoma. There was zero discussion of the track or anything you were talking about. Thats why we both commented. Its like "what are you talking about?"
Bumping bumpers is racing but that is not. After recovery I would seek some street justice. 5 minutes and deal back the pain.
Hey guys, it’s not a mistake. The guy ahead of him is on the racing line so he has to try to find a way around.
The porsche was too aggressive in my opinion. Thought he should've had some sort of penalty.
@@jarrodjordan5293Huh? Did we see 2 different videos? The Corvette driver bumped into him several times 😂
@@xYNPR0DUCTi0NS small bumps compared to crashing your opponent.
A bump to your ass end that gets your attention is not equal to shoving in to the wall and pit maneuvering someone. That is wholesale bs.
Professional grade "Grabass"!
Look, emotions were high, they were racing at knife's edge and the vette bashed the rear of that's Porsche one too many times. And on the final turn, he tries to loosen his rear grip. Vette paid the price.
Lol that vette was eating that thang for dinner and lunch
Is it just me or are the Corvette head lamps extremely bright? Perhaps he blinded the Porsche driver one too many times... ;)
Porsche driver was just annoyed he had a slow German car and had to resort to some despicable tactics to win.... typical when you have no talent and you're driving a slow ass porsche.
That's actually a valid tactic Corvette and other teams did at the time when night races were a thing. Basically you blind the car ahead, so you can make moves around them without them realizing you are. Plus it makes the guy ahead of you more likely to make a mistake.
@@BaldVulture87 the Corvette guy was in the wrong the whole time. He made all the chickenshit moves in the contact. Lol
@@TheBlueDogMan You need glasses. the 'Vett went for the pass the slow porsche started to block and the as the corvette went past the slow ass German porsche the guy driving the porsche went for the pit maneuver because he knew he was going to lose if not...
He just cost the team a ton of money too.
This is what Imsa should be today
The Different Headlights color mean different class of car.?.?
Ots an illegal pass and he has to let his get by. But, the vette was pulling away once he got past the porsche.
