Love to see Neil discuss, and be so open minded about other emerging genres like house music,, techno, and hip hop. In this respect he was ahead of many of his peers, he's more similar to Bowie than Crosby
Great job with this, Jordan! You asked great questions, covering so many topics (his current music, Woodstock, the Rolling Stones, Bill Graham, films...) and kept him happy and talking! He gave a great interview here. You led and captured it well!
The best concert I've ever been to was 2013 Geelong, Victoria, Australia. He played well till the rain crept up and then became heavy. Most would've called it off at that stage. But he just stayed and played like a mad professor at the top of his castle and even as the craggy base was tumbling to the sea. He just played possessed. He played "Like a Hurricane", "Powderfinger" and maybe "Cortez the Killer" for about an hour. He is my fave guitarist. Other's may be better, more technical or tight. But Neil actually is a guitar. He expresses emotions through the guitar that no-one else can. His songwriting is just next level. He can make you reminisce for places _you've never been to._ l feel l know Canada because of him. So many great songs of emotional intensity, panoramic vision, genuine honesty, simple truths and ethereal otherworldliness. He is equal to any songwriter ever. Only Dylan has stamped a bigger imprimatur on modern music. As it stands now he is in the company of Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Jimi Page, David Bowie, Brian Wilson, John Lennon, Kate Bush, Madonna, Prince. It really pisses me off that he doesn't have a wider recognition. Keep on Rockin in the 🇦🇺🇨🇦🇨🇦🇦🇺 Interesting factoid: Neil, Gordon Lightfoot and Joni Mitchell are all Canadian, all Singer Songwriters, all Scorpios and all have had major blood issues.
I saw him on this tour twice. Frigging amazing. He's got a wide recognition.....critical darling and sold around 85 million records. Second only to Dylan. Neil is a master. ANDY mount gambier SA
I'll never forget the first time I saw Neil in concert with CSN...they started with acoustic and no Neil....then they got out the electric and cute Neil was hiding behind the amps and slowly emerged, crowd went crazy, I was front row center. I was 14, a mad crush on Neil. Never forget that. I love him so much. Part of my life. He is one of a kind, a musical angel, gift from God. Bless you, Neil, long may you run.
Quelle merveilleuse interview. Simplicité, tolérance, douceur, talent. Bref, une belle personne pour une bien belle musique! Merci de l'avoir postée🙏☮️❤️
This is a great clip of film showing your true personality and I enjoyed this greatly! Low on views as premiered just Aug. 31 2022 but I loved it! Thank you for the story behind this and daying the actual recording time frame! 😉😊
Neil is a very unique electric guitar player, i mean he kicks ass on his acoustic, but his way of playing is so strange but good, songs like southern man and like a hurricane are an example
now we know him as the guy that used to be for free speech, and the guy that used to be against biotech, and big pharma. Now he's the guy that wanted more world censorship protecting big pharma. He single handedly went against Joe Rogan calling for him to be banned... all for big pharma! I love some of his songs though. You think a person can be considered good if they completely go against their stated principles so hard like he did? he wanted more censorship and it turned out Neil was completely wrong and the pharma companies were lying and the governments were just trying to get more power and taxes. Neil is for this and you think he could still be considered a good person? THat's a stretch, but maybe, Maybe if you're not basing "good' on a moral scale. Like your definition of good has more to do with the guitar? he's a good person, as in 'he's good person with that guitar.'

That was an amazing interview. You caught him at a time when he was really shining from his soul. It was good to capture that. We don't often pay attention to the aliveness caused by a spiritually activated person, that we merely interpret as attractive. He seems really amazing...or at least was...but then...we unfortunately can be directed wrongly. I am just saying that, because I don't like some of his politics, and I don't get his later albums.
Wouldn’t want Neil to have my back, he is a very talented Misfit regarding his inability to be a team player and having his photo taken. Narcissistic and Selfish Dude.
He had one of perhaps most iconic rock influencers in a very relaxed state and the questions he asked were uninteresting. Did he talk about the early years with B. Springfield? Ok, what about his involvement with Pearl Jam and the effect he had on grunge? His charity work? His views on some his most iconic songs? Thoughts on touring in this modern era? I had to stop after 8 minutes
it'd be interesting if he asked him about his position on free speech now that its turned out he was wrong about the facts and Joe rogan beat him out. I wish Neil would go on Rogan's show and apologize for promoting fasciism. That would redeem Neil. Just say, "look, I went a bit crazy. There were so many advertisements and I had this pressure to conform. It just took over me." People would understand because we all know people that became soviets for any authoritarian line. does it bother Neil that he's now an anti free speech person?
Neil Young has sold a 50 per cent stake of his nearly 50-album and 1,180-song catalogue to the U.K.-based investment company Hipgnosis for an estimated $150 million.
Then why did you shorten Like a hurricane on your "unplugged" album? You ruined it, took the life out of it. It was a masterpiece, as it was; raw, fresh, pure! Oh the shame of hypocracy! Lol! Thanks for everything you have done! Keep listening to and following your muse!

Neil always stays true to himself, he does it his way. And his music is genius.
Young did a lot of great things. The biggest was to realise he's NOT a genius, , ,
and go from there. .
Yeah He Is.
Not whatsoever.
Neil, from an old beat up hearse to
$200,000,000 networth.
Neil more than 1180 copyrighted songs
twice as many as Dylan.
Okay, vallejos.
Just don't weigh genius in cash and numbers.

Merci d'avoir regardé. J'étais au début de la vingtaine et j'ai eu cette opportunité unique. Heureux de pouvoir partager cela avec le monde.
Man is he down..completely focused in the moment.
Very intense. He's done the same thing for over 50 years.
It was very intimidating for me to interview him. I was in my 20's and given the opportunity of a lifetime.
Love Neil!

Thank you. Much of my work is under-promoted. I was in my 20's when I interviewed him. It was challenging, but I feel I truly captured him.
Neil he’s a good person
He’s my favourite guitarist in the world
In my opinion
Neil is a very unique electric guitar player, i mean he kicks ass on his acoustic, but his way of playing is so strange but good, songs like southern man and like a hurricane are an example

I forgot about music for about fifty years it took me that long to abserve life.
I've listened to Neil for 50 years and he never does not impress.

Here We Are In The Years.
😅i've been a major Neil fan since Mr Soul and my favorite album is Zuma! 😅
Love you Neil
To chyba bylo nagrane z 20 lat temu - wystarczy znać Younga sluchać jego nowych dokonan i wywiadów i znać wygląd jak się zmienia z wiekiem 👍⭐🤠
Believe it or not. Last night I listened to the Album Raggerd Glory at full volume. Finishing with live at Filmore East. Danny Whitton. Hi Frank.
Once I thought I saw you in a crowded hazey bar, dancing on the light from star to star.............
My favorite Neil Young song ❤

in 1991 , he had not yet worked with Pearl Jam and grunge was just emerging

I will have to find the full interview and upload it. If I recall, it was several hours long.
Neil! Long may you run!😅

Neil Young is much more crusty now as he ages. He certainly is a very thoughtful person and very well spoken.
Neil loves Joe Rogan.
honk for freedom
Neil's not for freedom. he's anti free speech with a passion.

I got over it.
Neil has been since 60's and still is my favorite artist of all time.
