how can I use this sonification method in combination with another tutorial of yours, that which converts images into particles?

You could select a sub-set of particles from the image to particles patch and use their position with this patch, for example

Coll i have done something very similar but using the flocking algorithm to control audio so that i can pan in 3 dimension with values from the boids as position.. also use the boid position to choose scanning place for grain generation (only x value).. work great BUT the Biods go VERY slow when i have thirty grain channels and 30 boids ;-) any tips on perfomance??
Alsi you just send prepend applyvalues directly from jit.spill. Is it so that jit.spill sends a 1 for first cell and then the value so that the MC.sig get 1 for channel one and then a value??

      Great with the boids!
jit.spill just sends out the content of x number of cells in the selected plane of the matrix, where x is the listlength attribute.
For performance it's really difficult to give suggestions without seeing the patch.
I recommend posting on Max forum or joining the official Max Discord channel (I'm mostly active there)
