Fun fact: the family in this set were in previous set 80101 Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner, hence the “family reunion”. They are all slightly older looking now too.
Cool video! 🔥I wasn't expecting the animated build! I went straight to a MOC with mine, but this building looks amazing no matter which way it is displayed! Such a nice aesthetic. I can't wait to see the evolution of your city, it looks like you've got some great buildings already!
Thanks! It’s great isn’t it. It was a gift so I wanted to build it as ‘designed’ first but I will definitely be turning it into a full enclosed modular at some point.
This one was the toughest for me for various reasons took about 10 hours! It’s not perfect as some of it was done in the early hours and I wasn’t as focused as I should’ve/could’ve been but I’m getting better and learning more each time!
Hi there. Thx for the build & overview. I got this excellent set myself and just as you wondering if I'll buy a second one to make it a big 32x32 modular or just enclose it with my spare parts and windows ('cause with plain walls it's gonna become really dark inside). Not easy to install as is, so I totally agree with your opinion. Your city grows much faster (and looks good) than mine as I struggle with cost for mils plates/roads. Hoping to see you build the Police Station soon as it is one of my favorite Modular and it will fit well for sure. BTW I hope you will get to 1K subs soon ! Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Yes I think I will probably eventually do the MOC with this set and the noodle shop combined. The cost is a barrier to speed for sure but I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to get the sets I wanted. Time is my enemy and I never seem to have enough! I will be building the police station soon!
@@BrickheadBarista I saw this noodle shop & FR combined and it looks good. Good option for me too. I'll wait for you to build it to take a decision myself. Thx !
great vid as always. Interested to know how you record the building process. Perhaps you can do a video tut on that and how you record it and what equipment you use
I really like this set. It’s definitely on my list to buy. Probably best to get sooner rather than later.
Yeah not sure it will stay around long, grab it while you can!
I just picked this set up a couple of days ago...
Seeing it set up and on display at the Lego shop convinced me to buy it
You won’t regret it, it’s great!

That’s so cool!! I was wondering which the family figures were specifically. Thanks for the great Lego Trivia!

I can only imagine how long these stop motion builds take to edit, well done !! The clicks on the base plates were an excellent satisfying touch !!

Thanks! That’s certainly something I can do in the future, I’ll need multiple cameras to do it and at the moment I just use my phone.
@@BrickheadBarista i would love to see how you do it without your hands bein in the shot
Happy Lunar New Year Year to you too! Great video! Wishing you more and more LEGO sets and subscribers!
Thank you!
Great set, oddly I'm also getting this for my birthday but have a couple of weeks to wait. My wife is getting it me, not told her that yet! 😂
You’re going to love it and she will too! Happy Birthday In advance! I was surprised to get it for my birthday and it was a great surprise.
I think it real great set and it over 1800 pcs set only $130 . for that price buy 2 sets and build a modular
