This might be the most beautiful modular building ever. I can not wait to see how you finish it into a full structure. It's going to be amazing with the spring lantern festival.
The mini figs themselves were absolutely the reason I bought this set I can’t even can’t even try to hide that however, the stove, the fish tank and the family style seating in the restaurant put this thing over the edge. I absolutely love this set and I think actually all the sets kinda like this, including monkey kids, by the waypacks so much stuff into them. They’re just really cool and they’re colorful and vibrant. I really enjoy these sets but I gotta tell you the mini figs. Wow, over the top. Absolutely amazing applaud all around.
The "table" under the "turkey" is actually a chopping block.🙂 And the "turkey" is actually a roosted Duck 🙂. Those are the things you can find in a Chinese Kitchen. Its a nice building with lots of details 🙂
To bend the rubber there are two really good ways Heat a kettle, pour boiling water into a bowl dunk rubber and leave for five minutes, fish it out and it will be more flexible .. thats how you get the rubber tyres onto hubs as well quickly in the larger technic etc The second is the same effect but on a radiator overnight
I've taken a 7 year hiatus from lego addiction and exploring and finding this is Amazing! So thrilled to discover this builder. Subscribed because I will never be able to catch up and he's so thorough! Delightful!!
Wider than a base plate but it still has odd things like the toilet door over the stair well. Maybe they should have done three floors that would have a better layout and would have fit on a base plate.
Great review and the modular modification is gonna be very cool. Crazy how in the UK this retails for £90 with about 400 more pieces than Main Street 31141 and Main Street is £35 more expensive.
I suggest u mod it into a corner building and place it where the octan gas station is y the modded corner garage If u modified it to be taller it would cover the textureless nugget coloured walls of the corn garage And place the octan gas station by the tune up shop
Been thinking about getting this one. As somebody who isn't into Marvel or Star Wars these Asian sets (with Ninjago included) seem like a good theme to get into for display type building.
AMAZING deserving of a full plate or 1,5 by 1 if you find a way to attach it to the chinese garden you have in the city. Would look so good as a modular IMO
i have also less space. so i putting on a mils plate with 1 baseplate and half baseplate. so that on mine windowsill to put. i did putting the roadplates on the front of the building and the site i did made walkway so that to connect mine residental houses MILS plates with the road also on the front their houses. it is nice to made a mils version and i am curious on your finished build 😄
was so enjoyable building the set, loved the colors and mini figs, looks great with my botanical bonsai i wanted the dragon too but its sold out hahaha
The only way i got this to fit as a modular in my set was to mirror my second set and set it as a corner building, against the Sanctum modular building with its back alley as extra room for clearance.
I like it next to the tuning shop and across from those townhouses. Just like a suburban Chinese restaurant. The one from my childhood was next to a Caltex service (gas) station.
This is such a neat set. I'd love to see you transform this into a modular, utilizing 2 of this set. If you do, I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Hey there! This set would be even better if it was doubled up into a "Chinese Buffet" Restraunt. You can even have stairs going to the top floor. Thanks for sharing!!
Pink item are peaches. Turkey is supposed to represent a duck. "Painting" outside under air conditioner is Chinese calligraphy. But, yes, a great set and begs to be closed off like a true modular.
Love this set, can't wait to build mine! Did you see Kim Plata (Brick Artisan) actually created a MOC of this set that helps turn it into a corner Modular building? I am planning on building mine using his design :). While I can understand why Lego keeps making sets with the "open back" style, I much prefer all my "Lego buildings" to be modular.
I loved this detailed video. Thanks for sharing it with us. Do you have any tips on how to apply stickers? Your’s look pretty straight to me. I’ve tried using tweezers and Windex but I still have trouble getting them straight. 😊
There are some rebrickable models from the monkie kid lantern city that would fit perfectly with the ninjago city,I would love to see them in your Lego city, since I don‘t have the money for Lego myself I kind of live vicariously through your videos 😅

Unless you have already looked it up, you never guess which of your favorite moc designers have released an alt build 16x32 smaller version.
Who
Brick artisan

I was so blown away by the stove build!!!! It was so simple but so cool!
@@YusukeTomB I agree it looks awesome. It’s amazing how small details or small builds can really win you over or make a set
The "table" under the "turkey" is actually a chopping block.🙂 And the "turkey" is actually a roosted Duck 🙂.

That’s some duck - as big as a person. I wish they had made a smaller version.
I will also swap out the fish tank for more ducks hanging in the window.
The turkey piece can also be a roast chicken. Both the duck and chicken are served during Chinese New Year.
and pho is pronounced "fuh" and is Vietnamese, so most likely it's not pho :)
@@warrenguy76😅😅😅
That looks like a cool set. It would look great next to the spring lantern festival

The Brick Artisan version is amazing. I want to build it once I find the extra parts
I've taken a 7 year hiatus from lego addiction and exploring and finding this is Amazing! So thrilled to discover this builder. Subscribed because I will never be able to catch up and he's so thorough! Delightful!!
I'd love to see this set modified to be useable as a modular. So a different base. Perhaps you could do a vid exploring this!
I'm sure he's already planning this, it's gotta happen!
Brick Artisan has a great rebuild of this!
The new pink element is the new peach piece!!!!!
I got the instructions from Brick Artisan on Rebrickable and turned it into a 32x32 corner building. I must say the result is amazing!
Brick Artisans MOCs are amazing!!!
The Lunar festival sets are always awesome, well designed
I just finished building mine. Such a fun build. I like the banner that says the restaurant was started in 1932 just like Lego.
The pink ones are peach-shaped red beans paste buns🎉which means longevity😊
I adore this set. I may buy another so I can build me a large restaurant for my city.
Wider than a base plate but it still has odd things like the toilet door over the stair well. Maybe they should have done three floors that would have a better layout and would have fit on a base plate.
The Lunar festival sets are always awesome, well designed
2:12 the fence elements actually are a new part, they line up with the existing fence part
Great review and the modular modification is gonna be very cool. Crazy how in the UK this retails for £90 with about 400 more pieces than Main Street 31141 and Main Street is £35 more expensive.
The more I watch your video the more I WANT THIS SET 😂🤩🤩
Absolutely great set.... That's going to look great in the city.
By the door? It's a money tree 😊

That's really cool and quiet detailed.
Loved the video. Thx for sharing Detailed info. It’s just a beautiful set
2:15 Who knew that frogs could make such versatile decorative features?! 😂
Been thinking about getting this one. As somebody who isn't into Marvel or Star Wars these Asian sets (with Ninjago included) seem like a good theme to get into for display type building.
I so need this. Set. Lots of mini figs is great. and that. Big. Monky kid set.
AMAZING deserving of a full plate or 1,5 by 1 if you find a way to attach it to the chinese garden you have in the city. Would look so good as a modular IMO
I ment the spring lantern festival.
I am building this now.
i have also less space. so i putting on a mils plate with 1 baseplate and half baseplate. so that on mine windowsill to put. i did putting the roadplates on the front of the building and the site i did made walkway so that to connect mine residental houses MILS plates with the road also on the front their houses. it is nice to made a mils version and i am curious on your finished build 😄
Love this set! Can’t wait to see you modify it.
I like stickers for some details so if I get a second set than I can use the brick in a new location.
I feel like you need to buy another one of these!! Just do it right and double it and fit it on your plate
was so enjoyable building the set, loved the colors and mini figs, looks great with my botanical bonsai i wanted the dragon too but its sold out hahaha

awesome video jordan the restaurant looks amazing great job
Beautiful set

The reason why it is dragon theme, because it is this year of the dragon
Double it by adding a 2ed one and make the interior bigger
Did anyone else catch the reference by the staircase that 2x2 tile is representing 80110 Lunar New Year Display 5:57
Definitely should modularize this and then place it next to the spring lattern festival
A gorgeous set. I love the colours and part usage 😊
I bought 2 sets and build them back to back
The pink ball piece could be peach
Is that plant in front next to the door not a mini money tree? Which is a separate set but bigger.

Brick Artisan already has a great set of instructions that only require another 200 pieces or so
social media is very present with this this set..
The cart outside with the pink things might be mochi!
This is making me hungry. Now I want some Chinese food.
It's a beautiful building, might need a little China town street in the city.
Those veggies being sold at the stand look like turnips.
I loved this detailed video. Thanks for sharing it with us. Do you have any tips on how to apply stickers? Your’s look pretty straight to me. I’ve tried using tweezers and Windex but I still have trouble getting them straight. 😊
I've used the brick separator & it's worked so well for my stickers.
I use the tip of an X-Acto knife.

I’m getting this set but will swap out the fish tank for some hanging roasted ducks!
3:00 i believe those are peaches
Definitely need to be full building, dont think you bought multiples.....❤
I'd rather this style than lego modular buildings. The half build bothers only the few ones that create cities. Almost "cities" are shelf cities.
Will it be released in US?
rebrickable has alternate builds
The new gold window fence element s I'm Shaw thay. New. Part Jordan. ??
I think they are selling pink China radishes out front.
They should be peaches, which represent longevity. I don’t know about the pink color, though!
you should make it modular 😂
That’s a duck not a turkey
Chinese set awesome review
Day 29 of asking for a double corner town hall!
Missing roasted dogs and cats in restaurant 😅😅😅
