Muse literally can't do wrong for me. Every single album that has been released since I got into them in 2001 has been perfect. Every album sounds different and more refined and matured. I have seen them many times live and they are just flawless and stellar. a 3 piece band that puts on such a massive show. When I saw them in 2005 it blew my mind watching Matt run from the front of the stage playing guitar, to dropping it and running back to play piano and then back to guitar. All without missing a single beat.
Muse is absolutely exceptional live. I’d have to agree, one of, if not the best live show I’ve seen. First time was 2003 at HOB Orlando and they blew my mind. Then again in 2018 with 30 seconds to mars. Jared Leto turned it into the Jared Leto show then muse came out and dominated.
@@jaredfalk7701 fuck I'm jealous man but I also saw Muse just 2 days ago, Stage complete in darkness and center stage standing ticket, it was an unbelievable show but I've yet to see 30 seconds to Mars :)
This is like the missing song from their Drones album but this song really ties Drones and Simulation Theory together. Either way always a top tier must see band live if they swing close by.
Such a great song! From Matt's voice and melodies, to the riffs, drums, the production (which is made by BMTH's producer btw haha). I don't have anything bad or meh to say about this song 👌🏻
so... been following Muse for quite sometime now... and the first live-show they gave in Portugal (first time ever in Portugal, back in 2004), was in a stage shared with some "hard-core" bands, like: Korn, LinkinPark, Static-X, etc... and in my mind, I was just thinking: "well... this is going to be fun".... and these 3 "skinny guys" conquered all... made the crowd just go wild with their performance.
It happened 😯my favourite music teacher/reaction channel reacts to my favourite band. More Muse on Music Shed, please and thanks David and Howie! Would love to see a song reaction from a few albums... if that's not too much to ask! (plus Nothing But Thievies - they supported Muse at the O2 one time). Hysteria is the song you're noodling, as a bass enthusiast it's one of my favourites. Every album has a distinct sound and I love that you can hear how they've evolved whilst still retaining that Muse sound with rock roots. I haven't initially been a fan of the lead singles of the last few albums, but I'm enjoying this one. Have seen them several times and it's always a great experience, such a broad fanbase too - you see grandparents to grandkids at their gigs.
Man i'd love to hear you react to The Fratellis sometime, such an unknown band where every song on every albums absolutely slaps. Really unique sound that changes every single album and they're still putting stuff out!
I was never a big Muse fan, but I like this heavier sound. And apparently Matt Bellamy has said that this isn't even the heaviest of their upcoming releases. Looking forward to that! STARSET - Manifest (Live), Kashmir cover drumthrough by Adam Gilbert feat. Dublin Taiko, Bringing It Down, Devolution, Something Wicked.
Hua Chenyu is one of the most influential, record-breaking artists in China currently, and Matt Bellamy is one of his biggest influences. I would love to see your reaction to his incredible talent. If you choose to, you could start with his cover of a song called Nunchuks on the Singer show in 2018, or his music video of his own song Bullfighting, or one of his new songs called Black and White Artist. Links with subtitles can be found on the Hua Chenyu English subs channel. I hope you'll consider him....I don't think you'd regret it!
You always know it's Matt Bellamy, that's a gift I reckon. I love that the band line-up hasn't changed for them since they formed at school. That's also a gift I saw them touring the album with Madness on it. Omg it was one of the best shows I've been to out of thousands. I've been going to gigs 30 years & yeah it's up there. It was a real show. $200 well spent & I'll do it again when they tour this. If I want to mess with my voice & do high work I get into a bit of Muse lol
Interpretation; it seems most folk completely miss the meaning behind the lyrics. The track has another title; 'Living Vicariously', & may be better described by a phrase from the song itself; 'Psychological Warfare'. For it's about a world-wide psychological warfare between a few old men (the old dude in a wheel chair) & the mindless masses (represented by those under his control). So the one singing the words is standing firm - outside the visuals - getting stronger by refusing to 'stand down', which is what he would be doing by joining in the system of manipulation by the slave-master over the masses of mindless slaves. An outstanding song with incredibly intelligent lyrics by a most relevant band 😄
Muse were one of my first introductions to the world of rock back in 2006. Timeless band and this new single contains some surprisingly heavy riffage. Really cool stuff. Your reaction is both informative and entertaining, thanks David! 😄😄 And you were playing the opening bass line of Hysteria (as I'm sure more people have pointed out lol)
Please, please see Muse live. I have seen them 4 times, they were born to play stadiums. How they can achieve such a big sound as a 3 piece is amazing. You're right, they do get the whole crowd rocking. 🤘😁
The one and only time I've seen them live, they actually sounded so good that I was thinking if they had just put on their songs from their albums. And it took away a bit of the live feel that you get from most bands. I doubt I'll pay to see them live again. But I'll continue to listen to their released music.
Muse es como un cubo rubbik, parece fácil de armar, pero cada movimiento tiene que ser exacto para que todas las piezas encajen. Y eso lo vuelve complejo. La dicotomía entre lo simple y complejo. Muse is like a rubbik cube, it seems easy to put together, but every move has to be exact for all the pieces to fit together. And that makes it complex. The dichotomy between the simple and complex.
You should look at some Protest the Hero. Just a bunch of really compositionally complex, tight songs with some absolutely monster riffs. They've been independent for their last 3 albums, so there's not a lot of newer videos and I know that's what react people tend towards. Their older stuff has some videos though. C'est La Vie is one of my favorite songs of theirs, but I think you'd really like the song From The Sky off their newest release and it's on RUclips with the rest of that album. One of the most unique, and criminally underrated sounds in all of modern metal.
I have a recommendation to go down Lido rabbithole. generational talen fusing classical, edm, and hip hop. absolute genius. passes the vibe check. anywhere from his remixes to his latest album "peder" will more than likely blow you all away

I highly recommend their second album remixed recently. Origin of Symmetry, XX aniversary. Besides that, and from other albums in general: Stockholm Syndrome Hysteria Assassin The Handler
