No, he isn’t. For this generation, he’s excellent and pretty much stands alone with MJF, Danielson, Punk and Starks. It’s just rare these days that someone is actually good on the mic, so they stand out. It helps that Knight is older and more experienced than most of the new guys. Granted, his kayfabe name makes him sound like a 90s male porn star, but it could be worse. He’s not Stone Cold or the Rock. Those guys drew a lot of money and we’re on a completely different level than anyone today.

Hey! Sting is still wrestling at almost 70. Billy Gunn is in the best shape of his 30 year plus career. Flair is still to this day trying something every now and then in ring. Hell even Santino Marella is about to be 50 still in ring shape. LA Knight with shape he in he can go till about 70 and still talk shit to everybody

Definitely could have seen him as a Weasley IC Champ with some mainevent appearances. If we don't see him with a World Title in today's WWE it would be a missed opportunity.
Not so sure about that, he's a big star right now because no one is like him that's currently around. Back then they used to do imitation personaes of big stars *all the time* and audiences shitted on it because we had the big stars there on a weekly , he might have just got lost in the sauce and dismissed. Timing meets opportunity, always.

I don’t see why people say he’s a rip off of the rock. His voice sounds vaguely similar sometimes, but that’s about it.
When he's angry/hyped up, he sounds a lot like Ric Flair.

I think some people compare Knight to The Rock because unlike 90% of the WWE roster these days, he actually has charisma. Knight has been doing his schtick for many years dating back his time on the California indies as Shaun Ricker.

I’ve watched all his promos this week. In most of them he was like this. In Ariel Helwani’s though, he didn’t seem like he wanted to be there.
I've seen a number of interviews involving him in these last 4-5 days. He's probably tired of saying the same things, because the questions are very similar.
I also think Ariel has that effect on people.

I think some of Ariel's questions about booking and what not were just a bit too "smarky"
Ariel is trying to be a smartass, it's cringe....He asks about what the bookers have in plans literally, as if these wrestlers could divulge anything...Ariel did the same for Sami Zayn too but Sami was fine with it but LA definitely didn't like it and it showed

He won that match, didn’t he? I didn’t see it, but I heard Rey even at his age made LA look like a million bucks and that’s what the veterans are supposed to do. Mysterio knows he’s well past his prime, and now his job is to provide nostalgia and help out the newer talent. Someone has to be the 1996-97 Bret Hart of that company. CM Punk seems to be filling that role in AEW. It doesn’t matter if they’re not able to do what they did at 25. What’s important is that they are good enough to help get newer talent over. Just ask Starks and MJF about Punk getting people way over. Every newer talent needs a Hart/Austin WM13 match. That’s how my make someone a main event star. I think in terms of that roster, LA Knight is there. In him and Rex Steiner, they have 2 legit blue chip babyfaces. They just need a heel everyone hates. Cody isn’t bad, but he’s relying on his name as much as his talent.
Rex steiner is bland. He is another big sweaty man and he is not even that big.Cody is way more talented than him.
Maybe they can get steiner over in 8 years since roman took that much time to finally get over

Can he go toe to toe with The Rock on the mic? We may find out. If anyone can go toe to toe with The Rock on the mic in the WWE, I think it's LA Knight. I'd like to see a Knight/Rock mic showdown.

They sound very close, but the patterns in the way they talk is very different. The more i hear LA, the less i hear the rock. At the beginning i thought he sounds like him 100%

LA Knight's promo delivery style is very similar to how The Rock's was but he has his own catchphrases etc. I know that there are people who call him a Rock "ripoff" but I wouldn't quite say that about Knight. He may pattern himself a bit after The Rock but he has his own phrases.
if you listen it is kind of like a hybrid of the rock and stone cold. It's really genius, and very natural for him. Not at all forced in my view. I love it. He is definitely my guy right now. I was cheering him before the Bray Wyatt feud....and I'm a huge Bray fan, but if i had to pick i'm going LA Knight.
@@DavidWolfe-yo5bq Yeah, Knight's finisher is similar to the Stone Cold Stunner and Stone Cold also wore a vest during his entrances. There are some youtube compilation videos of a bunch of Knight's promo's and if you watch those, you'll see that he isn't really a "ripoff" of either. He definitely has his own style.
I started watching in jaunuary after stopping in 2013 and i was quickly intrigued by LA Knight after having zero knowledge of any story line or any of the new wrestlers. Proof that the guy is a natural. I mean i saw sami with the bloodline and though who the hell is that and whats going on.

The best thing about Knight is that he’s humble. He’s not the older guy with a chip in his shoulder. He’s just chillin’ doing his thing.
