Once again, this is a track inspired by the gloomy story of "Faith", and indie game trilogy focused on retro aesthetic and things that go bump in the night. "Hell Has an Elevator" takes inspiration from the third chapter, towards the end of renegade priest John's plight against unknowable demons and possessed horrors. Relying on only faith and a small golden crucifix, he begins to doubt his purpose and if he'll even live to see the morning...

Honestly both Father Alexander Anderson and John Howard are the best depictions of priests I’ve ever seen. One a badass monster killer, who becomes a monster to kill the one who can’t be killed. His faith a sword. The other a weak, kind hearted man with a deeply troubled past who must repent for his sins by bringing down the house of hell, even when his faith slips. His faith a shield. Two amazing characters.
One is the monster of God and so damned himself from Gods love, the other God chose to bring down a terrible house, and so became one of his most perfect angels

I have to admit I actually wrote a dnd character based off this song. A paladin of redemption who is also a reborn( a living undead.) he knows deep down his past haunts him. He has a past as a warlord who slaughtered thousands and now he is fighting to escape the flames of hell on behalf of the angels. But he knows deep down they won’t let him in.
I like this idea. Would play dnd with you.

Had a similar character. A vengeance paladin who contracted a warlock pact. He danmed his soul to fight the beasts who'd danm others
Reminds me of a paladin I play who was cursed with true immortality. He's seen the world end and be remade twice and slept through a third remaking.
I love the way your songs balance storytelling with gorgeous music and vocals. It's pretty unique.
I just love the determination and grit the protagonist has. He knows things are hopeless, he knows if he fails no one will come to save him or anyone else. The world is cruel and god isn’t present just monsters. Its just him to push it back and he has his own demons haunting him but he will fight to the bitter end because he has come too far and refuses to let the darkness win. Brilliant

No God is there he's just slightly threatening Lucifer with horrible torcher
He's there, but he doesn't intervene directly. He just gives you the strength to carry on.
God was there in the story. He sent the dreams/visions in chapter 2, which let John know what the cult was doing as well as getting John and Father Garcia into contact. That wasn't just coincidence. It may not be as flashy but was essential to any chance of victory.
God is present in the game. If He wasn't, the cross would've done nothing against the demons. God empowers you to save yourself. Faith without works is empty.
"Sometimes to face the demons, you have to walk through hell" has got to be one of my favorite lines from you. ^.^

edit: to elaborate, the idea of a priest who doesnt believe in god but still believes in the people came to me while thinking about the lyrics, and i had to write a one-shot about it

"I don't expect a savior so I've got to be the light" is just a more on-beat way of saying "we can't expect God to do all the work" which tells me I *know* you tried to fit the line in somehow, even spiritually.
You know, people meme on "we can't expect God to do all the work," but it's a sentiment based in scripture. In the Bible (and Book of Mormon, if you believe in that) God doesn't ease people's burdens by making their burdens lighter, he helps them by making them strong enough to lift those burdens themselves

A fun pixelated horror that game is Faith. Chapter 3 for sure goes deep into the rabbit hole in facing demons by going down further. This song like the rest of A Twist at The End EP from Halloween this past year slaps excellent.

The Twist At the End has to be one of my favorite albums out there. There's just something about that Halloween feeling the songs give that I just adore.

Well time to put this on the good old road trip playlist.
In a way, this song somehow perfectly lines up with how i felt when i gave up hope, and endured a lot of suffering for the path i chose back then. As i type this now, I see that there is faith, and there is hope, even in the darkest of times. you have to have faith. If not in your belief, then have faith in oneself.

This song is an absolute masterpiece. And let me tell you what makes this song such.
The pause after the lyrical bridge, followed by the 'ding' of the elevator.
You did not have to add the elevator ding. There, the song's feel would have felt mostly the same, the message of the song would have been the same. But you added it anyway.
Not technical term, but that's what i call the 'flaire' or the 'spice' of the song. It's not needed, and the song would be great without it.
But adding that flaire, adds a depth to the song that would otherwise not be there.
Absolute masterpiece, well done.
