Landslide - x8 buff from s4; Boulder - x12-20 buffed (on paper); wind shear and companion - x3 buff. Landslide and boulder will rock and roll this season i hope :) and could be top over all classes, but we didnt played it and no real idea how it will work and how many more bugs added in patch..
The First S5 character u will be playing is sorcerer?? Mekuna & Rob let's gooooo!! 😜
On Fireball you would run Lucion Crown, no? Cause it gives way more damage than Shako, it increases your resource costs effictively reducing your Ice Armor cooldowns. More damage and more toughness. The difference between 35 ot 31 skill ranks is very small.

I think Druid is going to be strong, bouldercane is going to clear maps fast like whirlwind, landslide is going to melt. Sorc will be great. I think the rework on some of the mythica and uniques is going to make up for barb nerfs, so I think it’ll still come out similar to last season. I’d like to come up with an auto cast smoke grenade build for rogue. The new item casts a very strong arrow storm when grenade casts. You can perma grenade and auto cast arrow storm all day. But besides damage, I think the average player that isn’t one shotting everything, survivability matters. For that reason I have to put fire bolt sorc with fire shield pretty high. I still like the necro and I’m hoping that with the new cooldown reduction I don’t have to waste an extra gear a lot to make bone storm 100% uptime. I already have to waste an aspect to get the damage shield.

Making me want to start sorc (again). I was so disappointed with how it felt at end game in season 4. I feel like barb is just always the safe choice.
I'm a mythic raider from WoW and I just started diablo 4 last week (never played any others in the series.) Your videos and resources have been really helpful! I had no idea how deep the builds went in this game. My definition of min/maxing has been forever changed lmfao. Between super specific gearing and how much freedom there is with paragon I can see why everyone just follows planners and shit. This is crazy. I managed to learn the game a bit and got to 70 on a minion necro but I cant decide if I want to try sorc/barb or go necro again for my first real season. Bone spirit doesnt really interest me so might be a sorc angle if theyre gonna be crazy!

Rogue was my original pick for this season and it looks like it will continue to be.

Im so happy to finally have severql sorc builds as viable. And a lot of useless uniques are also finally good. I wanna try fireball this season, I have a feeling this build might actuqlly go very well with crown of lucion cause of the nem mana regen per fireball explosion. If it works it can possibly be very strong
Finaly some tier list man and build thank you rob i would put pulverize instead of the Wolf attack more DPS
If whirlwind barbs can kill uber bosses without all the mythic unique its worth a try.

My biggest problem atm in diablo is the class indentity why to hell we have "ultimate" skills when just the basic skills (generator) are mch stronger then they?
Ultimate Skills are not just all about damage but it's a synergies of your other skills... This is not like POE or Diablo 3 where you just mash a single button whole game
Yup.. Wish the Ultimates were just their own keybinding like in LA. Most people would actually use them then

I will play barb when its not a bash meta lol. Not feeling like going around pressing basic skills. Like guys remember monks seven-sided strike from d3 ? omg it applies exploding palms on hit etc

Totally agree - so fast face & fun but they killed it & these minor buffs aren't anywhere near enough to make it viable again
You should play it, play style counts for a lot in my book. It might not clear pit 200 but neither will whirlwind. If you want to start pit pushing later, I honestly think landslide will be good. In my mind I want to play flay barb. I should be able to kelp call of the ancients up 100% for ad clearing. But bouldercane just looks so fun.

With the boss health nerfs, pulverize is A tier at a minimum. Bossing was the only thing holder pulverize back.

I think you are over estimating the Barbs bash and flay builds. They have been nerfed to the ground and the savior for these builds will be 'The Shard of Verathiel'. One thing that is very over looked is that this now provides UP TO 300% damage at the price of it COSTING RESOURCE. Remember that Barbs resource depletes and it does not increase so if you do not have a generator, you will not have any resource to work with. Further more, resource generation has been removed from most, if not all items (not sure about rare or legendary rings), so no chance of resource generation or very little if there is some. Resource generation has been removed to further kick the Barb in the gut while it is down. I honestly think that this is largely overlooked, and I don't think that these will be viable builds that will be even playable. Blizzard has intentionally gutted the Barb this season, and I don't think there is any salvation. I could be wrong, but it will be interesting to see week 1, and how it pans out with builds.
You are right. Thorn barbarian was also nerfed very badly. But if he said the truth, almost nobody would play barbarian this season.
Can you also give an update on boss drop tables? (or delegate to someone from Maxroll?) Maxxroll Boss Loot Table Cheat Sheet still not up to date.. Looking for a list where to farm the new uniques like Shard of Verathiel.. I appreciate!

I really like that you did put andys rogue in s+ now because i saw it being only in s before the final tierlist.
Even now for me it is the absolute best allrounder in the entire game.
I cleared 133 this season with 5 min left ln timer and to go for super fast helltides and dungeons i just Switch from MW hits on dodge to boots with 3 crits Movespeed and i blast everything even faster.
The dmg even now is insane! I very recently had a tick of 6.7 bil and even more on pit boss.
I farm 122 with ease all the time as my main farm pit.
For bossing you dont even need to switch anything duriel etc just see your ticks do billions on duriel easy.
And last but for Sure not least, it is such a fun build. You crowd control entire screens and blast them witg shadow imbue which even in 122 mostly one shots every trash mob and crowd controld elites too.
You need andariels thats true but this season it was already super easy to get at least 1 uber and its even becoming easier on 6th.
I didnt do any group farming ( i know inefficient but i dislike it) and have every uber i want and the ones i really needed i got real early to play the builds i want, even a GA shaco.
Im really curious though how pen shot and heartseeker will Perform.
Heartseeker super fun build too i hope that it will be stronger on 6th than it was already in s4 and i personally think it will
Leveling for me will definetly be pen shot as always. Just an insane levelong build. Got me everywhere i wanted as fast asvpossible and with fun (wt3 etc)
Really Hope pen shot will be good in endgame too again.
Sadly my most loved build TB is still not very viable as it looks like.
I did campaign with it with my very first Character so has a special place in my d4 gaming.
I hope the +dmg with andariels poison will hell to put it in s Tier some time this season.
Really want to do a TB rogue as 3rd char maybe.

Rob! Quick question! I am playing your rapid fire Rogue build, and have really liked it - just got the Umbracrux, and I do not see the totem activating unless I put dark shroud on my action bar. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

The builds that woulda made barb feel and look different are not strong enough, especially since the animations for bash, deathblow, and hota all look the same it gets very boring.

This is my take: Unless you belong to a very very small minority "niche" playerbase, unless you realy like the playstyle of a particular build, you will not play for a long time or enjoy it tbh. There is a very small niche playerbase that likes to compete for no prize on diablo ladders, but excluding content creators, there are not much. Playing 100 hours a week in a build that is tier S+ but your brain keeps telling its boring it's realy a waste of time. I rather play a buid that is B tier but i realy enjoy than playing an S+ tier because of ranks. But this is just my opinion ofc. Entertainment differs to everyone....

Any builds that are "stronger than ever" will be severely nerfed in the season's first update. God forbid that anything class be fun and powerful.
How is bonespirit necro better than flay barb when flay hits for double digit billion constantly while the necro „only“ does 2 billion every tuesday
Is it still necessary for some barb speccs, for example the bash or the ww, to temper crit-dmg with a rogue? Because i don´t like to need another char to optimize the barb or make him playable at all...

Spirit Necro with minions. It can't get any shittier than this. Worst two builds to play are combined into one. I'm torn between rolling sorc for the first time, druid for second time, or warrior for God knows how many times hahaha

Why do they do this thing where they buff only certain classes per season? All they had to do was buff sorc and druid honestly. They could’ve left the other classes completely alone and I don’t think anybody who plays those classes would’ve complained.
When season starts barb will dominate the S tier with at least 3 builds again like all the past seasons 😂

BTW Rob, victimize is actually bugged again like it was before s4 and wasn't mentioned in the patch notes so it's probably going to stay bugged for awhile

the fact that generator builds are some of the highest potential builds clearly shows that this game is going in the wrong direction. yeah I want to spam my basic skills and just tank every damage. no skill, no excitement.

On maxroll the put the Necro minion build in S Tier. Are they that wrong?
I dont think Minion is gonna be anywhere close Bone Spirit. Bone Spirit is stronger in the LIVE S4 than minion & Spirit gets a MASSIVE buff while Minion gets a NERF.
Bone Spirit is BY FAR the best Necro build of S5!
The only minion build I saw was in the leveling tier list which is always true. Endgame for pit and bossing they have bone spirit. So level with minions then switch to bone spirit once you have the gear.
