Guys, I simply love your content, your honesty. I'm 63 and I'm headed towards retirement. I have been planning on RV hauling when I finally retire to see the country, and have benefits that allow me to haul my camper with my wife and enjoy what we love to do. Keep on going, it's great to watch you two. I'll work part time doing this and don't need the money necessarily, but I see the benefit as we love to camp. Plus, I love to drive! God bless!
Don't wanna be a party pooper but they actually have an age cutoff at 70. I've seen it several times on different companies now. I honestly don't know how that's legal but I've seen it.
I recently stumbled on to your channel because i want to go from a freightliner to my 2024 ram 2500HD and haul r.v.'s.... love your videos, they are so inspiring and confirm what I've always believed. Hauling r.v.'s are more fun and I can pick a direction and travel while earning a income
Just found yalls channel and already dig it. Yall are honest and straight to the point. Really cool to hypothosize earnings and make it a challenge. Im starting out this week and thought about vlogging or youtube as well just as a time passer maybe ill see yall on here haha keep the good content rolling!
Great videos. Keep it up. My wife and I transitioned into full time even living this year and are currently in Alabama ourselves. I am also a transporter and work for Horizon. I have been on the road since the beginning of June trying to hustle and get that money. I usually do this since the factories close in July and we go to the mountains of Wyoming from mid July to end of August for a little R&R. Hope we can catch up with y’all someday.
Very cool - we have a playlist of videos that you can check out that provides info to help you on your journey. Best of luck to you! You can email us at theriverstonelife@gmail.com - if you have questions - we will do our best to help.
Id get a second llc for truck delivery and relocation services. I’d pay my partner to run the truck back empty while I get a reset in. The truck wouldn’t have to stop for a 34 and my clock would never be empty or low on hours. Something to consider since you don’t need a cdl to deliver a 1 ton truck.
So after expenses like truck payment, fuel, food, hotels, insurance, taxes, what do you clear a month? And do you have to deadhead to pickup another load?

Hey guy's great video and info. Question from me is what would your thoughts be on using a schwalbe truck that has the horse power and decent fuel economy for this gig....also provides a good place to sleep and knock off some of those hotel expenses ?
Great question! We have seen other people using that kind of truck but none of the guys I know actually have one. So our advice to you would be to contact the company you’re interested in and asking if they allow that truck for hauling.
Great content Y'all..I'm looking to get into this and have family in Washington. So coming from Texas, I would be doing same, take a load to Oregon, then stay in that area and grind some money then head to Washington to hang with family. I looked into Wave and looks to be a great company, and I like they lay out all the requirements on their website. I would be starting fresh buying truck and have to get it ready so getting an idea of cost put together for required items. Keep Crushing It!! If you get a ram 6.7 Cummins don’t have the dealer do your fuel filter changes, there’s two of them but they’re super easy to do. As well at 75k miles a service light comes on and that service is for crankcase filter change sounds complicated but it’s super easy to do. I bought a 2021 ram 6.7 3500 dually which I bought from Lithia and they offer lifetime oil changes that’s a lot of money saved right there with doing RV transport.
I live in NY and am trying to find insurance for the job. Should you hear of any insurance agency that will write the required insurance, could you please pass it on. Thanks.
My wife and I really enjoy your channel!!! We are thinking about doing this rv transport. I am retired and she is still working. I was going to run a while before she retires. If there is a way to talk privately with you that would be great!! ...Take care and God Bless my friends.

They vary depending on the time of year and the area you are working in. We haven't seen any that will take you all the way back to Indiana but that doesn't mean there aren't any. We have gotten many reloads that get you closer to Indiana so that helps with the fuel costs.
Enjoyed the video. Im considering a career change and have started resurching camper transport. I live in Alabama as well ready to do something different. May be ready early next year.
Hey guys I have 2 questions. 1) does adding wdh to the travel trailer make a difference when towing with a 3500 dual wheel TV? 2) reaching out to transporters om youtube. To find out if anyone recently towed a 2024 Keystone Hideout 24LOF which is a smaller new destination trailer. Reason being is i recently purchased one which i will be heading to KY to pu soon and am curious on how it tows down the highway. Thanks in advance

Love your channel! When our Son finishes college this coming year, my wife and I are considering doing exactly what you’ve done. Seeing the country and spending time with friends and family who have scattered all over while our son starts his life and ultimately chooses where he may be putting down roots. When he does, we park the rv in his driveway-just kidding. I was wondering, when you are planning your loads, do you see a lot of loads going down to Florida? In fact, the entire east coast. Does Wave have a lot of business over here, or is it mostly west where you guys are concentrating on right now? Thanks very much. Stay Safe.
Thank you for your kindness - we appreciate you watching and commenting! You made us LOL with your son’s driveway comment because we have parked our Riverstone alongside Robin’s son’s house in the suburbs of Florida - that was the tightest fit we’ve had so far - still can’t believe we got that beast between 2 houses 😳🤣 ya gotta do what ya gotta do lol Lots of loads going to Florida and the east coast. We just go west because we have grandkids in Colorado and we get to see them regularly. 😊
Sorry to bother you again but, did you ever get clarification (orientation video) on logging after you finish your load when you’re not going home? Like you guys, we have family and friends scattered throughout the US. Thanks very much!!
So just because I’m curious. How does it work when you’re on a reset? Can you drive your truck or are you stuck where you are if there’s no Uber or cabs in the area?
When we do our reset we already made our delivery so the truck is personal use at that time but when you start again your logs will be started where you ended your reset location.
Thanks - we appreciate your support! Every transportation company has their own requirements but Wave’s is 3/4 ton or larger pickup truck, diesel preferred, 2005 model year or newer.

Can you hire a driver directly without going through a company and if so do carry insurance or does the company carry it.

Every transportation company has their own requirements but Wave’s is 3/4 ton or larger pickup truck, diesel preferred,
2005 model year or newer.
Where & how do you find loads to re-load with to not drive back empty?
The company I work for has reloads in their load board.
Nearly 12K in 12 days. AMAZING. Keep it up. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks so much!!
Can you get these same rates of pay per mile that you mentioned without a CDL? Thanks
Yes - I do not have a CDL.

Does Wave do drive away and do they allow riders? I'm interested, but I want to take a friend.
You’ll have to go on their website or call and ask. We don’t know for sure. Sorry we couldn’t help answer your questions.
@@TheRiverstoneLife I did and they don't. :(
Just a quick question what are you getting paid per mile?
Everything I have done lately has been $1.95 per mile
Can i do rv hauling with a 2007 chevy single cab 3500 dually it has a gcvw of 12300
Yes - as of now - if you’re working for Wave - that is acceptable. We don’t know about other companies requirements.
Does working commercially effect your oem warranty? Good video.
No it doesn’t and thank you!
does wave payt half on hook up and half on delivery? what kind of insurance do you have to carry? And last how is the truck payment a tax write off?
Call the recruiter my friend... No one is going to give you a better answer
How about a 1 ton chevy express van 3500 dually
I don't know if they allow that but I am sure if you check with the company you want to haul for they'll be able to answer that question for you.
What kind of truck
Do you need for
This ?
Three-quarter ton diesel preferred but lots of guys have gas engines
What about 1500 big horn dodge ram ?
Work 8 hours a day and you never need a reset.
Thanks for commenting!
yall should sell that truck and get a HDT volvo or small engine hdt with a sleeper. more comfort. just weigh the pros and cons
