Thank God for those pilots. This state is in need of qualified heroes and these men are them. You wont hear them on tv patting themselves on the back neither.

Yes I hope hers made it , and you being lose to this area, you should get on board with me and start a campaign for a law that make the politicians and government officials and policeman sheriffs , fire departments to be able to send air drops 💦 day or night as soon as the first sign 🪧 of smoke , with in the first 30 minutes there should of all ready been air drops, I can tell you for sure if they had sent air drops the at first it wuold not of been this bad, it’s not about money 💰 it’s about timing ⏱, come tell everyone, to shot up and make a first smoke send air drop law, BigAl California the Kennedy air drop fire bill, oh yeah , thanks BigAl California.praise Jesus grace Christ amen 🙏 BigAl. No electric wires should of ever been above ground, and if they are they should of had shields around them , wood spreaders weights or I will be making them put closer to each other poles less saggy lines ,so they will not touch each other in the wind, come on they spark like a welder when they get together, love ya thanks BigAl California, praise Jesus grace Christ amen 🙏 BigAl.

Those Pilots are a rare breed of pilot
they are at very low altitudes and dealing air temperature and heavy loads in very dangerous situations . They deserve far more credit than they actually get . 👍👍👍👍👍👍😎👏👏👏👏👏

Hi great video however I do have a question about the retardant my understanding is fairly corrosives and requires washing out the tank in the belly of the aircraft at the end of the day.

I noticed there were no CL-415s or 515s, Built by Canadair Bombardier (Super Scoopers) These are the go-to fire planes around the world and only need a lake, a river, or Ocean to fill up in 30 or 40 seconds. They're High production, non-stop water bombers that can really make a difference especially when you compare them to the small planes and helicopters-they are of little value, except maybe for optics. The Erikkson works well though. We have fleets of Bombardiers in Canada and around the world, especially Europe. Having to land to fill up severely limits a water bomber's production rate.

There is a lot of fantasy and fake news about these fires. The red "retardant" makes for spectacular news footage, but it doesn't do anything except pollute the groundwater. A strong wind will send firebrands right over whatever you spray. There is too much fuel and when the wind is blowing, you'll never put the fire out. In fact, "firefighters" today "fight" fires by starting a new fire so they can burn the forest before the real fire gets there! The best thing to do is get everybody out and let the fire burn. When you come back, there will be no more fuel, and therefore no more fire. No more danger. You're done!

be cool and helpful if someone could take a military Hercules air plane and make it into a water bomber so it could drop off bigger payloads of water or other stuff to fight forest fires the bigger load the lest chance the fire has against more water The Hercules cares heavy loads anyway

and there are numerous private companies that fly C-130's
