Thank you Cal Firefighters. We appreciate you all trying to save our beautiful town
How is lighting u on fire saving u ?
You caught some great footage there Alex. Better than what the local news ever showed!
Excellent shot at 6:16
Right place, right time!
I love fire fighting, I think the most noblest job is fire fighter
GOOD NEWS. It is 24 hours later and all forward progress of this fire has been stopped. Thanks to some hardworking well trained and coordinated fire crews!
Thankful to the strong men and woman who fight our fires. 💜
Best initial attack video I’ve seen. Good work!
Can anyone tell me how far is it from El Dorado Hills Ca, I have family there cus no one mentions?
@Steve Russel thank you so much ❤🙏
Awesome video and steady hands! Very impressive!!
Best aircraft shots I've seen👍
Alex, some fantastic footage you captured. Those planes and helos have some awesome pilots.
Thank you to all the fire fighters on the ground and up in the air
Always love seeing the helicopter drops
Wow. Plenty of action going on, they hit her hard. A+ Alexander
And the men who fly those big planes to put the firesbout have been doing the best jobs too always thank you all of you for your services all of you 👍 😀
Thanx for what you do!!!
I haven't heard, did we find out what started this fire ? Thanks for your dedication for providing us with al this awesome footage.
Forest Rangers always start these. To burn all the trash that middle class dump cause they don't wanna pay the dump fees. And the Forest Rangers are too good to clean up trash.
@@wealldieatthehandsoflovedones You're not making any sense. Are you drunk or high?
@@wealldieatthehandsoflovedones . Always. Once you used that word you proved you are an idiot. Thank you
@@billyrayvalentine7972 hey Billy Ray u must be the wife of a forest ranger
Nice to see FOL 337 getting in on the action. Great shots Alex!
Nice work!!!
Great photography.
Awesome catches man! Cool to see so many different aircrafts.
The Red Trucks get all the visibilty, however the real fight occurs mostly out of the view of the cameras. The line crews and the dozer men do the real work against the fire. Those are the ones who risk their lives and get little recognition.
Although the engine folks who set up on people’s properties to protect them are also hanging it out there. Plus they may be laying hose to actually put the fire out and get it secured so it doesn’t just slop the line. But you are also right.
It would be good to inform people about the role of dozer/dozer operators. Truly the unsung heroes on any large wild fire.
It's hard-working but your doing a good job putting out the fires and cleaning out the land around homes 🏡 the helicopters the fire men on the ground and the fire truck drivers who bring the water hose to put the 🔥 out you are heros I'll keep praying for your work and family
I hope that the fire fighters can contain this fire that looks so agresive and I because there are lots of vegetation in that area it might take a while.
These pilots have “balls of steel”!
California needs another wildfire like a cactus needs another set of spines. This keeps up and California will start looking like the desert wastelands in the movies. I already live in the desert, so I'm ready for it.
Pray for the best but, prep for the worst!
Problem is is that CA is a fire adapted ecosystem. Those brush fields are fire adapted from long ago. Most places that experience fires are fire adapted. Although w/ climate change the fire seasons are getting longer and the fire behavior more extreme due to long periods of drought. I like your statement Pray for the best but prep for the worst.
@@XAlpineSuptDN - You should say, "Problem is that CA WAS a fire adapted ecosystem." With longer periods of drought and shorter winter storms (little snow/rain), the grass and scrub will have a harder time each year.
"If you're not prepping, you're not paying attention!"
Thank you for the great videos of the real life super heros
Great camera work once again A. Stay Safe
It's time to start repurposing some military assets to fight a different kind of war.
Can't.
Talibiden left them for Iran so they can invade Israel.
We could if they hadn’t left all those military assets to the Taliban🤷♂️
fucking hell those 8 helicopters weren’t ours, they were the afghan military’s. and those 2 little birds, and 4 blackhawks which were in disrepair by the way, aren’t gonna make a difference in one of our largest fire seasons
Hella good video footage thanks
Awesome footage, thank you firefighters!!!
I thank you Brave Firefighter's. I was on e CDF. For three summer's.
Wow - great video. Love seeing all the plane/helicopter attacks of the fire. Good job- thanks for posting this video.
Great videos working with the angles you could. I like the drops but love to see more of the water hitting flames.
I wish they would have initially attacked the Dixie Fire like this!
You didn’t have all of the resources available for Dixie initial attack like there are now for the 2 million acres of fire currently going on in the vicinity.
Thank you. I am able to share your video with my son who left for the holiday weekend. Be Well.
The first helicopters threw water and it didnt even land on the fire. Cal fire gets there and a smooth water drop!! Cal fire pilots are badass, But shout out to all of them!! Current emt here starting the fire academy in december.
🙋♀️. Yes absolutely great coverage
The sad outcome of all the federally owned forests being mismanaged for almost 100 years. Back when fire was viewed as the enemy. Well now it truly is. Blessings on the brave and dedicated men and women who fight these fires, and my heart goes out to everyone who has lost loved ones, property, dreams to these fires. Also to all the animals displaced or orphaned or dead. They too lost their homes and loved ones.
Huge wildfires are no surprise. We allowed Arrowhead and Niagara to come in and cap off all the natural springs that fed lush green valleys that stopped fires in their tracks. The slow decline of wild life is also a tragic consequence of our actions.
They used to do prescribed burns on that mountain every year but stopped 10 years ago
Nice water tender at the start.
Good footage again.
Great footage...thanks for posting!
Good luck trying to get Fire Insurance on the Foresthill Divide.
At some point the governments going to have to step in and sort out this insurance fiasco. But it takes regular folks like us to start the ball rolling.
One would think that the helicopters would just make the fires hotter, like a bellow
Man I would love to be out there helping put that out I’m only 30 min away the dozers do good but not fast enough and they can only push material
Dumb “california steady burn” lights. Nice video footage! 👍
Is it under control?? Yesterday on radio they mentioned it, but not anymore. I'm in Napa
Awesome🤗
I heard that it was miles from the bridge.
Did the bridge burn.
Homeless sleep under it.
I was in applegate on top of a train tunnel watching it looked like it was in our backyard
Need a deterrent, and here is an example: 20 years in prison for the first offense, 40 years for the second, and 60 for the third.
Wonder if anyone knows how this fire started?😐😕😥
I am live in California most of my life and I am retired now and it seems that brush and forest fire on summer is a way of life in the state. California should buy at least 10 jumbo jet 747 and converted them into water tanker to put out fire while still small.
Helicopters and small plane are useless on forest and brush fires especially when it is too dry.
How small the helicopter and planes look compared to the smoke rising up.
They should put it out cause they started it
You mean ""THEY DID ****NOT**** START IT"", right?
How do lots lots lots of trees look pretty?
Wow was this near the 5 north at vista delta lago??🌲🐝🚒🦋🐾😇🇺🇸🐞🐕🙏🌻🥑🐎🚒
great quality, thank you.
I hope that there will be a political reckoning for the mismanagement of state and federal lands.
How can you handle that heat in California omgooness
How did this get so out of control and this big overnight?
It's really dry and hot right now. Luckily the winds died down today. Hopefully it stays that way
Yes how did this fire start. Point of ignition was.......???!
Unitrol 💪😎💪

WHO The HELL is starting these fire's?? They don't start them self's.. NO Lightening in the area.
It can be a variety of human causes from intentional arson, car fires, someone tossing a cigarette out the window, catalytic converter starting a fire in grass, someone welding outside, downed power line, shooting a gun, grading a dirt road etc etc etc.
News said PG & E is suspect on the massive Dixie Fire
@@ajcraft-hello Good deal the usual suspects might be guilty and probably are. I answered your rhetorical question because I didn’t know who started it.
i mean it can also just be due to the scorching heat, it keeps getting hotter in the foothills
@@californiarespublica highly unlikely due to spontaneous combustion. Being under the bridge like that it could have been homeless folks or someone throwing something out of their car off the bridge like a cigarette.
Do they do night drops?
No strictly VFR "Visual Flight Rules" only. There's been talk of allowing the ANG MAFF C130"s. That have the Avionics and crews trained with NVG's and night combat training. to work at night but nothing yet.
@@paulebelmesser2699
It just makes sense to get on top of the flames with their thermal imaging and night vision capabilities.
We need to fight these like a WAR that it is where residents are cheering every drop.😎🇺🇸
I remember the Lexington Los Gatos Ca fire where we watched huge Caterpiller tractors moving and making fire breaks to stop to fire from crossing over from Santa Cruz and saved thousands of homes. We cheered them from miles away using binoculars and telescopes.
Governor Gavin this is your fault for not taking care of the forest
Am going to be a fostfirefighter to
What happened firemen's
I IMAGINE FIREFIGHTERS PICKING THEIR NOSES AND FLICKING THEIR BOOGERS
Not interested in the aircraft as much as what they accomplish..
Looks more like acts of terrorism
What a discusting lie.. save the rich burn the poor
