@Bloxy Labs - Can you make a cluster of these 2 W pies ?? Like cluster of 10 and then put on mining whole cluster - it will save your time to start up all 10 devices same time with one click of button and specially if you have 1000 of these 2 watt-ish pies and more!
Interesting! I didn't try it yet. But it would be a very cool new project. Theoretically that should work with Kubernetes or something like that. If I get a cluster of Orange Pi Zero 2W's to work mining Verus, I will make a video on this topic ;)
Thanks! In this video we used an Orange Pi 2W with an allwinner H618 Cortex A53, but the installation is pretty much the same as on a Orange Pi 5 with a RK3588S.
Thanks!!! You can find the port number on Luckpool (luckpool.net/verus/connect.html). You have to enter your own wallet address behind "user" in the config.json file. I hope this will help.
what about efficiency? are the orange pi better efficiency then phones? and what about which orange pi the best efficiency? pi zero 2 or orange 5, ....
...what's the ROI = revenue - equipment cost - kWh - ISP .. ~ 5 years (24h*365d*5y continues run) ...will it last that long?..are the OrangePi version 3 with optional ram gives better hash rates ?
In the case of Verus, more ram doesn't boost the performance. If you want to know more about ROI and the lifecycle of a Orange Pi, go to the #mining channel of the Verus Discord: discord.com/invite/wV8w8cWPCf . At this moment I have two Orange Pi's 5 running for 1.5 years and they still doing fine ;)
@BloxyLabs ...how much can you mine per year per device.. roughly.. ?... i can assume that 1mh/sec could yield ≈ 1 penny /day.. is this the case or can i expect more..

@@BloxyLabs Hallo Everything is fine until the end, but in the end, no BTC or BCH or SOL will start ( XNO nano WORK ). Can you give an example of how to edit the last line?
Very informative. I was planning on looking into this when I had time. Is the Orange Pi zero faster than the Raspberry Pi zero? Also, how is the hash rate compared to an old junk phone for mining? Love the videos as always.
Thanks Chuckles!! I believe the performance of the Orange Pi Zero 2W is a bit better than the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W has only 512MB SDRAM. Another thing is that I don't know if the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W has the cryptography extensions which are needed to run the Verus algorithm. By the way, the most 64bit junk phones will perform better. The Orange Pi Zero 2W is doing 1.8 Mh while I have an old Samsung S6 which is doing 2.4 Mh at the moment and a Samsung A40 which is doing 3.5 MH. But they are using about 3.5 watts and the Orange Pi Zero 2W is using around 1.2 watts while mining.
@@BloxyLabs Thanks for the info. I looked into it and you are correct about the rasp pi zero being a lot slower . I also noticed that they have a Radxa Zero 3W that is out and about the same price. I will do some research into them both and see what I will got with. It will probably be next month since I will be busy with irl stuff this month.
I don't think there is Verus hash mining code for an ESP32. The Orange Pi Zero 2W is the cheapest option at the moment to mine Verus. If people know other options I would like to here it ;)
it dont work well at least for me it don't Wark i have tried this in 5 different orange pis models and will not work with any o them went to git hub page and will not work im used to things not working for thank s anyways

hello
Dear friend, thank you for making a video for Orange Pie 5 with Rockchip RK3588S CPU
Thanks! In this video we used an Orange Pi 2W with an allwinner H618 Cortex A53, but the installation is pretty much the same as on a Orange Pi 5 with a RK3588S.
I want to complete setup help me
Nice video, keep it up, thanks :)
Amazing Video!!! Just a small question, how is the port number obtained or is that same port useful only by changing to my own wallet?

Awesome Video! Every step is perfectly described, excellent for a n00b like myself. Really appreciate the video. Subbed
Thank you!!

any alternative for ether balena? i keep getting error using windows.
You can use the Raspbeery Pi Imager and burn a custom image.

This is not possible. But you can create an image of a micro SD card with all the files so that you can flash them to other cards
Hallo can you plys make a video how to mine SOL, BTC and BCH on Raspberry Pi 5 ?? Thx

hello brother,
does this works on any orange pi version.
I want to try this for mining verus.
thanks..
In know it works on a Orange Pi 5, Orange Pi Zero 3 and off course the Orange Pi Zero 2W. You can install it in the same way as in this video.
Can you also use ESP-32? which costs +-6$ i think? for mining verus?

no, not possible, but you can mine bitcoin solo with it
