Want to run your phone without battery
      Use this mod.
      Buy step down dc converter
Cut your battery and take the bms circuit, set the output voltage to 4.2volt and connect to the output of the step down to the bms input, put it back to your phone
Now you don't need to worry about bulging battery
Search Google for more details on how to use dc step down converter, they're pretty cheap, less than a dollar for pieces

The price is climbing steadily, but I can say I now hold *some* Verus. I have a Watt meter arriving to make sure its worth it beforehand, and created a spreadhseet much like you have in this video to track it. I highly suggest on trying to run those phones batteryless. You can do that, by removing the battery bms from the battery, solder where the batter was connected a steady voltage the pack would realistically putt out, and plug the phones in with their charging port. The only reason you add voltage on the bms battery terminals is to tell the phone via the bms a battery is installed and can actually boot, while in reality, it completely runs from their charging port.

I designed a rack that would stack the phones so I could keep it in a mini fridge. I was also going to root the phone and turn the processor up. I've even thought about just buying the motherboard and running the boards via screen and mouse.

In order to charge 100% of a battery the required voltage should be 4.3 volts, but in order to charge no more than 50% 3.4 volts must be on the your charger device. I don't remember exactly but you should understand what I mean, do some tests and you will understand how much is needed (sorry for my eng)

  • @unAgorist
    @unAgorist 3 месяца назад +24

imo the right way to calculate roi, if you're into crypto to shortcut the bankin system is to :
1- count the costs in the crypto mined (if you pay 10$ for a phone you calcultae the price from the crypto value in usd at the time of purchase)
2- same for electricity charges every month, count the cost in crypto at the time of payment; that amount of charges you withdraw from the number of coins mined during the month (could produce some minus obviously)
3-sum up all those monthly return for the year
4- divide that by initial investment to get your yearly return on investment & an idea of how long it takes to pay back the phone if you're profitable
if you count in usd you are just speculating & results you get don't mean a thing as the market could make appear a losing setup as profitable & the opposite as well

It's awesome that you have fire suppression.... however, thoes will not put out a lithium ion battery fire.... suggestion a fire blanket that can be easily deployed over the top to try to suffocate the fire & or a foam spray to suffocate the fire from oxygen that fuels the fire. Now the lithium that are in these batteries are normally lithium salt & not the pure form of lithium metal. The lithium salt is water soluble, hence why fire fighters use water to fight lithium battery fires. The powder fire extinguishers have no effect on putting out lithium battery fires, which is what you have in those exploding fire suppression balls. Do what you will just figured I would throw my bit of knowledge at ya.

I mine verus on cpu. It's a little less efficient, but the equipment can be sold later, plus way more reliable and safer. More options to mine also

Built several ethereum miners with 6x gtx 1060ti's back in 2018. I realized very quickly, I was at the end of the general public being priced out. I made my money back on a 10k investment in like 9 months and figured out that timeframe was only going to get worse as we moved forward with adoption. Unless you got like free power or cooling with a very northern climate it isn't worth your time nor effort to try and mine just hold coins. Look at all this work and investment put in to be seeing a net of 1200 usd and needing 2 years lols. And don't forget that's 2 years to recoup ASSUMING that asset your mining doesn't fall apart. That isn't a fixed timeframe to get your money back. All that being said quality video that was very well put together, but don't do that.. Mining is like half a decade late to the party, which in crypto terms is like half a century.

Or you can run them with a smart plug and an extension, make the plug turn off at 12 and back on at 8 so it stays 8hra unplugged, ( you can change the time depending on the phone)
