Hi Kalle and Christine... My Grandfather was born in Norway ..came over to the USA on a boat ..married my Grandmother and never got back to Norway. My Grandfather had 11 siblings and our Families have been back and forth to Norway to stay and visit with our Norway Families many times...and they have come to the USA to stay with us many times. My Grandfather used to tell me that Norway was across the Bridge from Sweden and showus Maps where he was born.There is such Beautiful Country in Norway and Sweden. You are Blessed to live there. That's how I feel. I am watching from the middle of the chaotic bay area of California. And watching these videos is very soothing. Feels like I am there in the forest, in that warm-looking cabin. Imagination helps.
Every time I see your new video I think, there's no way Kalle could film more beautifully than he did this week, yet week after week, you outdo yourself. Tove and Mattias's wedding was gorgeous. I love what they did in the forest so much better than the wedding hall weddings we have in the U.S. The sunset through the leaves was heavenly.
Although it was a social and busy time for you, it was so peacefully and beautifully captured and edited. Each shot was so perfect, and you slowed it all down and let us deeply into each small moment. I think my favourite was when the otter dove back into the water and left a perfect little swirl of water behind. So well orchestrated.
I want to thank you for inspiring me in every video. It really doesnt matter if you are instaling you big retractible screen to watch movies, building the A frame, digging trenches, working on the pond or improoving your cabin. All of that is a blueprint i have in my brain for 66 years. I grew up in a big farm and its my heart wish to go back to the forest any forest to live as i remember being a real human being. Grow my food spend all the time building my shelter and keep painting my art. Thank you
Hi Kalle, I've been following you for less than a week now, but I've already seen more than half of your videos. There's so much peace and calmness in your videos and the way you do things! It really helps me to relax a bit myself. Living in the forests of Sweden is a big dream of me, especially the nature around where you live. I've been to Vålådalen a couple of times now (I'm actually going there again next week) and I recognized Skuleskogen in this video. I'm so jealous we don't have that kind of landscapes in the Netherlands ;) It's really nice to watch how you live your lives the forest and you guys actually are a big inspiration for me! Reminds me so much of old pioneer days. Beautiful and I know how you feel when in large social gatherings. I am the same way. I truly can understand. My problem is I don't feel productive in those situations. I am not a talker but a doer and get very fidgety when I sit for any amount of time. Beautiful gathering for sure. You have a beautiful life. My only question is where did all those people stay for all those days?

I found especially after COVID lockdown it hard to get back to meeting lots of people and people wanting to visit. I Love the views of the beautiful North. I live in SE Alaska which is a rain forest. Fortunately, as I tell strangers, I was born here, so I have webbed toes and can handle the wet. I would not want to live anywhere else because we are a small community and very isolated. Mountains on one side, a narrow strip of land then ocean. Lots of bear, deer, and fish. I, too, look forward to the slowness of winter when, even though I love them, everyone who doesn't live here leaves, and we can start to relax. Yes, the winters are long and the summers short. That just makes us appreciate summers all the more. Love your videos.

I can relate with a stressful time when you have guests! I live in France and have my nieces, nephews and other family members from the UK with their families come and stay for a few days. I love seeing them and 'living' with them (not the same as someone popping in) and make sure they love their stay. Preparing meals and arranging activities take up time... Personally, I prefer this and gaining from their time with me, rather than a few snatched moments when they have time!!
I feel the same away when I spend time with people, after I need a vacation. Is not because the people are bad sometimes its hard to explain😊 Love so much your videos! That poor fish, gasping, while being displayed. I haven’t been able to fish since I was 16. Been teaching myself all my life it seems, to be simpler with my food, and more plant-based. beautiful filming. Your hard work and passion is evident. Totally understand the need for alone time. I always feel it is All one time: alone, with Everything. I was once cook at a retreat centre. That was about the ideal amount of socializing. Happy to lay out the meals, and then go rest. And years before that, my husband and I were caretakers at the same centre! with our 9 months son. We used to say “nice to see them come, nice to see them go.” 💜

I'm an introvert myself and I get over stimulated very easily around big crowds and big events. Not that I don't enjoy it every once in awhile but I definitely need that break in-between. Thanks for sharing your special days with us all.
Reminds me so much of old pioneer days. Beautiful and I know how you feel when in large social gatherings. I am the same way. I truly can understand. My problem is I don't feel productive in those situations. I am not a talker but a doer and get very fidgety when I sit for any amount of time. Beautiful gathering for sure. You have a beautiful life. My only question is where did all those people stay for all those days?

Thank you Kalle I needed to hear that there's other people like me that struggle with the socialising. I found especially after COVID lockdown it hard to get back to meeting lots of people and people wanting to visit. Like you said even though I love them and enjoy their company, I also need my peace and as a people pleaser you want to make them have the best time but can be draining! I Love the views of the beautiful North. I live in SE Alaska which is a rain forest. Fortunately, as I tell strangers, I was born here, so I have webbed toes and can handle the wet. I would not want to live anywhere else because we are a small community and very isolated. Mountains on one side, a narrow strip of land then ocean. Lots of bear, deer, and fish. I, too, look forward to the slowness of winter when, even though I love them, everyone who doesn't live here leaves, and we can start to relax. Yes, the winters are long and the summers short. That just makes us appreciate summers all the more.

I can relate with a stressful time when you have guests! I live in France and have my nieces, nephews and other family members from the UK with their families come and stay for a few days. I love seeing them and 'living' with them (not the same as someone popping in) and make sure they love their stay. Preparing meals and arranging activities take up time... Personally, I prefer this and gaining from their time with me, rather than a few snatched moments when they have time!!
I feel the same away when I spend time with people, after I need a vacation.
Is not because the people are bad sometimes its hard to explain😊

That poor fish, gasping, while being displayed. I haven’t been able to fish since I was 16. Been teaching myself all my life it seems, to be simpler with my food, and more plant-based.

I was once cook at a retreat centre. That was about the ideal amount of socializing. Happy to lay out the meals, and then go rest.
And years before that, my husband and I were caretakers at the same centre! with our 9 months son. We used to say “nice to see them come, nice to see them go.”
