Hi mate, how did dad fix the trim to the plywood? silicone? i have just basically copied this haha love it. just wondering how he secured this to the plywood! :)
I brought your build pack a couple of years ago. I didn’t even own a power tool. After watching your videos we now own an awesome garden room with a bar and an adjoining workshop. Couldn’t have done it without you Liam. Thanks.
We're a small building company based in Glasgow and had a really good long term client who couldn't afford a full build from ourselves . We recommend your build pack to them and helped them with the stages they were concerned about , concrete/rods electrics ,door installation , rubber roof etc . Worked out great in the end for everyone , client saved a load of money and we got some great jobs off the back of it . Would highly recommend the build packs even if you dont do 100% on your own
Lall is a cracking bloke Liam …. I spent lots of time with him putting his orders for materials together when I worked at Selco and then saw the immense pride and satisfaction in his face when he brought in pictures of it finished !!! Really shows how helpful and logical the build packs are !!! Great work !!!
Bought my build pack 2 weeks ago have dug 22 holes and concreted the rods in so far on my own ! I’m a nurse and girl anyone can do it ! Liam you need to do a series touring the country looking at peoples builds 😊 any other lady builders on here ?
I know you've had a lot of stick over the years but your genuine pride and enthusiasm when you met your customer cannot be faked. Looking forward to seeing the latest project come alive.
Im a mechanic by trade so pretty handy with tools but watched hours and hours of your videos, it gave me the confidence to convert my garage into a mancave and 3 years later its still like the day i built it! Props to you Liam.
I'm based in Jersey and am literally closing in on the end of a self-build. Minimal experience beforehand, but a handy DIY father that has been a massive help ;) Only wish I had discovered you, your videos and build pack before I got underway! I'm sure it would have saved me months and months of pain-staking research and deliberation trying to work out technical details that would have been second nature to you, I'm sure! Love your positive energy. Best of luck with all your plans.
I brought your build pack a couple of years ago, with the help of your RUclips channel and the build pack I created a 5x3 garden room for my wife so she could do her crafts My plan is to create a book showing all the stages of the build. Glad to see you smiling I know you get a buzz from seeing people build their garden rooms which is fantastic. If your in North Wales pop in and say hello.
You inspired me to build build my own too. Got wild quotes, limited choice on bespoke sizes. Found your videos and three years later and it's the best investment I made to the house (and it's still standing with no leaks!). Appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to share your knowledge and expertise!
Love this! As a software developer who is currently building one myself, I agree with you. I followed your RUclips videos and got the first fix electric done yesterday. Plaster boarding this week.

You could do a sponsor a brick for the build. People pay an amount and then you write their name on it, show the camera and then lay the brick. Obviously facing inwards towards the cavity as you don’t want to see it ha

If you bought a piece of land somewhere, could you live in one of these as a kind of temporary accommodation, if you can get the electrics connected up?
Thankyou for sharing your knowledge with us Liam. I am looking at building a room 28sqm internal measurement. Just wanted to ask if I'm ok running to approx. 400mm from the boundary either side, keep at the max height of 2.5m and I should be good to go under PD? The back will have plenty of clearance from the boundary. Cheers!
Yes mate, but the council will want non-combustable materials to boundary sides. This in it's self, is completely open to interpritation by your local council, we've never had an issue, but I know some people have had to use a fire resistant paint, others have had to use fibre cement board, others fire rated plater board to insides, all depends on the inspectors interpretation of the rules mate
Hi thanks for this update.. I'm building a garden room 5m x 3m + 2m X 3m canopy. the whole build will be an L shap, I've already applied for planning. Will the builders pack with a warm roof be OK ? I was think i could work out the canopy structure myself, with materials etc then add onto the builder pack, what's your thoughts ? Thanks.
Hi Liam ,love the pod but why do you not endorse ground screws and steel frames because I'm sure your subscribers would love the idea of getting a great start by having there design installed with foundations in a mornings work 🤔
Loads of reasons, all negative mate, only good thing is the ability to work off them that day. Spoke to several installers and asked them about timber sizes due to spacings of screws and permitted development. You know what they said? Don’t tell the customer, that’s what they said 🤷♂️ I tell it like it is I’m afraid, and that’s what I got told, steel frames? Again, over priced and you can’t fully insulate the steel C section.
