    We're a small building company based in Glasgow and had a really good long term client who couldn't afford a full build from ourselves . We recommend your build pack to them and helped them with the stages they were concerned about , concrete/rods electrics ,door installation , rubber roof etc . Worked out great in the end for everyone , client saved a load of money and we got some great jobs off the back of it . Would highly recommend the build packs even if you dont do 100% on your own

Minimal experience beforehand, but a handy DIY father that has been a massive help ;) Only wish I had discovered you, your videos and build pack before I got underway! I'm sure it would have saved me months and months of pain-staking research and deliberation trying to work out technical details that would have been second nature to you, I'm sure! 3 questions:
    1. How long would it take a Diy-er to build with only 1 day a week free?
    2. How big can I build if it’s a corner plot next to 2 boundary fences?
    3. Fancy you or your team (if you have any left) coming to mine to build it and get some extra funds for your extension?

    Thankyou for sharing your knowledge with us Liam. I am looking at building a room 28sqm internal measurement. Just wanted to ask if I'm ok running to approx. 400mm from the boundary either side, keep at the max height of 2.5m and I should be good to go under PD? The back will have plenty of clearance from the boundary. Cheers!

    • @thegardenroomguru
      @thegardenroomguru  6 месяцев назад

      Yes mate, but the council will want non-combustable materials to boundary sides. This in it's self, is completely open to interpritation by your local council, we've never had an issue, but I know some people have had to use a fire resistant paint, others have had to use fibre cement board, others fire rated plater board to insides, all depends on the inspectors interpretation of the rules mate

    • @thegardenroomguru
      @thegardenroomguru  6 месяцев назад

      Loads of reasons, all negative mate, only good thing is the ability to work off them that day. Spoke to several installers and asked them about timber sizes due to spacings of screws and permitted development. You know what they said? Don’t tell the customer, that’s what they said 🤷‍♂️
      I tell it like it is I’m afraid, and that’s what I got told, steel frames? Again, over priced and you can’t fully insulate the steel C section.
