Why did you take off the whole panel? Just pop the triangular piece that covers the 3 mirror screws and you may have to pop a corner of the door panel to get to the plug.. But I’ve never removed the whole panel..
Taking to entire door panel off isn't necessary, just remove the one screw at the door handle so you can slightly pull the panel back enough to remove the triangle piece covering the 3 (10mm) mirror screws...
If you remove the door panel like at 1:52 you can just skip to 3:31 to get to the main motive of switching the mirror.. js 🤷♂️ lol. I did that instead, saved me time.
I 100% agree. This is my first time changing the mirror. I was done in 30 minutes and probably would be quicker if I had to do it a second time. I know if I disconnected and then reconnected all those wires it would have slowed me down and I may have messed something up. I just make sure that I did not let the door hang so that the panel would not pull on the wires. That was probably their concern. Anyway great suggestion!
Please tell some real assface thought it was Kool to mess with the mirror n scratch me down to metal with a 🔑 so I need to fix wife's car please please reply thanks much
Greatly appreciate the walkthrough. But sweet fuck if I had undone all the god damn wiring, that would have been an hour long job. Pop the panel, the mirror cap, and you’re done.
@@SlayingMantis676 yeah I just looked at the one im doing for a family member, I just pulled on the little speaker til it came up, then it looks like I can see the connectors there, also a socket holding on the speaker. Shouldn't need to do all of this but will try to remember to report back after I do it. I always look these vids up out of abundance of caution but I think this may be a bit much. We shall see...
I am looking to see if it is possible to adapt power folding mirrors when you unlock and lock the car. Any idea if it is possible to do on a 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5s sedan?
I thought the exact same thing. You can just pop the little triangle thing with a flathead and boom access to the mirror. All this door stuff he’s doing is a little unnecessary in some situations

“That’s going to be 87 for parts plus 3 hours of labor, we had to remove the door panel, that comes to a to 597$”
You dont have to remove the door panel for side mirror

Pop the panel, the mirror cap, and you’re done.
Is it even necessary to remove the door though?
Hello Ali, in this case it is. The panel covering the connector goes under the door panel
TRQ hey, thanks a lot for getting back to me I really appreciate it. I ended up getting it replaced, thanks again!
Harlow I did the same. It was faster, also this video is very easy to follow the steps.

Maybe splice the light power sensor to the sensor for the mirror so when the door is open the window folds flat?
Nomas véanlo hasta el minuto 3 y ya, lo demás es cosa extra
What’s the part that holds the mirror in the housing?
You just did extra stuff tbh

Look I’m a woman who has absolutely no experience with cars and even I feel like this was excessive. Then again idk what the easy way would be lol.
@@kingjova4662 you just made my life so my easier
You DO NOT! need to remove the door panel!
You make that look so easy
Hey, do you mind dropping a link for this specific side mirror?
Why the hell did he remove that whole door panel for? Seems like a huge waste of time to overcharge a client maybe
Very unnecessary to remove the door panel for this.

You made a 15 minute job a 2 hour job lol
His is not accurate for the Altima coupe.
