Chris Hemsworth being an executive producer is not a meaningless add on I don't think. Sometimes actors care so much about their characters that they fight to become an executive producer, (for example Tom Hiddleston in the Loki series, Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool) and if they do, they have a certain amount of say when it comes the character arc and script etc. Loki series is one of the best examples of an actor having a say in regards to how the final product turns out, but they have to care deeply for their own character and how it is received. Chris Hemsworth probably seen where they were going with the movie and didn't push back for whatever reason. But the blame shouldn't be entirely on him.

Actually, in the marvel universe, Thor is the character with the most depth. He is 1500 years old or more. So he must have seen much more than any human!! I feel that its hard for Thor to relate to Ironman or other because of the differences of their past. Ironman and Capt, America have a common background and sometimes you see how they depended on each other. I don't think that they knew much about Thor and what he could do. He had a neutron star blasting him as he held the doors open. Dr. Strange knew more of his worth, and we saw it when they run into the Guardians of the Galaxy.
My point, is Thor was definitely needed in the Marvel Universe and I am very happy they included him.

Honestly, Thor: Love and Thunder is my favourite movie from all 4 because we just get to laugh so much in it and we can rewatch it over and over again and still laugh. I am not a fan of the first Thor movie, I thought Thor's a boring character when I saw the first movie, but as the movies progressed, Thor became more and more fun and I love it.
The whole reason I love Marvel is because of the humor in it, I watched almost all the movies in DC but I never will re-watch them again because it's got 0 humor. I mean Chris is a contributing factor sure. But he's far from the one to blame, he is an actor. He's not the one making decisions but he probably does have quite bit of influence and free reign to do so. It does seem like the vibe onset was very wacky and goofy. Personally, I myself tend to get caught up in silliness also, its fun and we all love to laugh. But it's certainly quite on the nose in the context of this movie because the character of Thor is definitely no joke.

It was Chris and, predominantly, Taika+Disney's fault. After 2, Hemsworth was right to want a change but to ENDLESSLY obsess over 'reinventing' Thor and facilitating Taika's moronic narcissistic self indulgence as he 'ruined our mythos in a minute' was very silly. That movie does not exist to me. Seeing The Thunderer become a bumbling moronic, room temperature IQ airhead who's very presence irritates even goofs like The Guardians was UNACCEPTABLE.

It was never his fault. It was Taika Waititi, a director who openly joked about ignoring the lore of the character, and who pushed for the script to be turned into a comedy because it's what Taika is good at... but it ran completely parallel to what the Gorr storyline was supposed to be.

Regarding Chris' grievances about Thor's role in the Avengers films, they're not without validation. Thor is alienated amongst the Avengers as he's literally a god among men. He's stronger than the Hulk, but since Thor isn't a mindless beast, it's hard to keep his character interesting. A good screenwriter can't even lean towards Thor's alcoholic-hedonistic tendencies as that's something the audience is more accustomed to seeing Tony Stark do. It's difficult to get Thor "grounded" since he's not with Odin, Loki and Jane all the time.

Hey, Chris is built as a leader, a Guy who gets things done, and a BadAss. He has played many other movies and he is gifted. But like i have seen before, as the actors get older they become wiser. Also take a look at Keanu and Tom Cruise. People are always going to see their movies because its entertaining for current time, its full of action, and its just fun!!! I think Chris should ride the wave and learn as he is having fun. I loved Chris in the 12 Strong, Extraction, the Huntsmen was entertaining, Red Dawn shows him as a leader (Which i think in real life he is a real leader. Maybe im wrong). Any way i think Chris is a great actor! He has played many many roles and should just ride the wave.
