  • In interior room design the purist character of concrete surfaces is becoming more and more popular. Wall surfaces with an exposed concrete appearance convey a flair of robustness, thus creating a unique loft character. Compared to genuine concrete, the application technique with Creativ Sentimento 78 has the advantage that individual inscriptions or logos can be implemented using high-low techniques. The closeness to original exposed concrete is additionally emphasized by the execution of joints. The Creativ Sentimento 78 color chart provides a wide range of concrete colors as well as a neutral gray series for this style of wall design.

    Exposed concrete is such an underrated look. Personally, I love the brutalist feel you get with exposed concrete walls.

    This looks fantastic! Might have to get the family back in Germany to send some over. I did have a concern that the treatment might rub off if you touch it. Does it need to be or can it be sealed? My main concern is my leather couch that will be touching that wall.

    My walls are painted a red color right now. What primer should I be using to prepare for concrete/plaster?

    Looks nice. But if this effect is needed in new build, with prices of this material and labor costs, it is cheaper just to build entire wall out of cast concrete from the start of the building process

      obviously you do this past that choice.

    What type of tape did you use? What I've found so far has too much adhesive or breaks.

    • @BrilluxInternational
      @BrilluxInternational  6 лет назад

      You mean the contouring tape? That's Tesaflex contouring tape which you can find on our German website: www.brillux.de/produkte/11284/.

    Looks good but Ive never seen interior concrete walls that are pitted and rough like that. All the precast tilt up concrete walls here are hard troweled with a very smooth finish.
    Do you have a product that does not have the grainy sand in it but just a cement/marble flour or metakaolin as its filler in order to do a very smooth finish coat?

    • @BrilluxInternational
      @BrilluxInternational  3 года назад

      Might this be what you're looking for: ruclips.net/video/wyHN0wz_cNI/видео.html Same product, but applied differently. If you're looking for something with cement/marble flour, then Sentimento 78 is the product of choice. It can absolutely be troweled harder resulting in a smoother finish.

    Can you get this in a waterproof finish for a bathroom shower area?

    • @BrilluxInternational
      @BrilluxInternational  5 лет назад

      Hi Shannon,
      I'm afraid that as the supplier we cannot recommend an application in a shower area. There might be ways to get this done, but none that we would feel comfortable with.

    Hi, Nice video. Is this surface waterproof?

    • @BrilluxInternational
      @BrilluxInternational  3 года назад

      No, it is not. You can apply Creativ Hydro Impregnating Agent 81 after the regular application steps: www.brillux.com/exposed-concrete-look, however this will only provide protection against short-term impact of water. This creative application technique is not suited for bathrooms or the exterior, for example.

    Is it safe?

    • @BrilluxNederland
      @BrilluxNederland 6 лет назад

      Hi there, what do you mean by "safe"? The wall won't come crashing down on you, and since the material is mineral-based it will only support a great climate in the room, preventing mold build-up. Hope this helps?
      The application is no cake-walk, though. You should always hire an experienced professional, unless you're a professional yourself.

    • @nuvi01
      @nuvi01 6 лет назад +1

      I mean healthwise. I saw some plasters have a lot of warnings and I would like to make sure its not carcinogenic or unhealthy.

    • @BrilluxNederland
      @BrilluxNederland 6 лет назад +2

      nuvi01 Healthwise you‘re safe. As stated before the mineral-based product supports a healthy indoor climate and prevents mold build-up.
