The idea of some Ordo Xenos inquisitor mistaking Gengar for a monster from ancient terran legend and naming a hive fleet after it is objectively hilarious
I would love to see Steve bring his knife ears into Skari's dark knife ears. Pull out all the bug guns and go nuts.
I absolutely love the tyranid color scheme here. But that again mine are metalic blues, reds, and purples using colors hitting paints so I'm a little biased.
The armies are stunning in model selection and paint! Truly inspiring stuff, this looked awesome!
That game was downright impossible, and I'd never believe it if I didn't see it.

I have 2 Wraithseers with D-cannons and I'm just gonna steal the whole "They're glued on. They're there." thing too at this point lol. Not much else to be said.
Steve I'm sure many a commenter might've said this but bright lances are actually D6+2 so you wouldn't have had to reroll that damage 1 in battle round 3. Overall great game though!

Edit: specific to unending swarm, a monster that isn't fire support/a tervigon is USELESS, spend your points on gargoyles and infiltrators to movement block your opponents instead!
Love the coconut crab style paint job on the nids. Purple and black work well in that style
I think it should be fine to play your Aeldari as long as your opponent is okay with it. Especially check if they had to travel for the game. It would really suck to travel a long way just to be face-rolled.

@@Whoknows21356 Screamer kiiller being oneshot by a wraith lord and then another SK failing to scratch back one (would've not killed it even if the eldar player rolled normal saves), even with +1 to hit and wound, is just comical when they cost the same...
the detachment rule of re-rolling one attack per phase is just absurdly OP on stuff with few, very powerful attacks.

That Nid army is beautiful but not one but two psychophages in a crusher stampede list.... ugh.

I can appreciate that. I just don't have any bigger bugs (yet😂). Though I did want to run the big bugs I have and crusher stampede felt most appropriate.

Still go with the rules need changed so models aren't removed from the table unit the end of a your team's first battle phase.
Was rather obvious that these two lists clashing was going to take some absurd dice luck, like the tyranid got, for it not turn into a one sided stomp for either sde.
I am so artistically inept that the Nids paint job just blows my mind.

Where do the rules say you can discard a secondary objective at the end of a turn to gain a CP? I keep seeing people do that but I've reread the pamphlet multiple times and don't see the rule anywhere.

@matiasdiaz8913 That's the pamphlet im referring to. The box comes with the objective cards, objective tokens, and a rules pamphlet for how to use them. But it doesnt say you candiscard at the end of turn to gain a cp. It does have the "new orders" stratagem though.

Kyfer was running Crusher Stampede from the new Tyranid Codex which just came out. Rewatching, Steve does note around 3:30 that he messed up the fate dice Round 1, then course corrected by throwing them out, which ultimately resulted in a fun game.
The irony is this match probably would have gone worse for the tyranid if he didn't flub the rule and end up discarding the rest of the fate dice, as in turn 1 it mostly ended up in overkill, while fate dice could have flipped the script later on the Maleceptor's epic stand.

I like seeing Aeldari, but I think you definitely need to play them without the completely busted stuff. Wraith list is the best flavor too.

Naah he dident use the nerfed version ? He fate diced like 5 times in he's 1st shoot face ? Normally now you can only use 1 fate die and you need to use it before you roll ..

@@spilnukim38 To be fair they didn't really use either, since when realizing the mistake the eldar player didn't have fate dice for 4/5 rounds, and even in Turn 1 it appeared it resulted more in overkill than extra kills, especially when you realize how much fate dice later could have changed the Maleceptor holding off 4 units.
Im new to 40k and get a lot of the rules...but why the fck is Eldar allowed to reroll soooo many dices? I dont get it :D

Don't believe you can fate die re-roll as the re-roll means you have already rolled the die and fate die is before rolling
When you reroll a dice, you have to… roll a dice. That when I’m using a fate die.

Fun fact: when your wraith lord heroic intervened he made a charge move and thus gains fights first. Since its not your turn he would go first in the fight phase.
You don't fight first when HI. The note in the last segment mentions not gaining any bonuses for Charging - with the only bonus listed RAW is gaining Fight's First.
