Ha ha! I was the captain of this flight. I’ve enjoyed seeing myself in this clip here on RUclips.
YOU RIPPED THE RUNWAY APART? 😧
@@XENO-g4w Ha ha, that’s what people seemed to think!
Queen of the Skies, Destroyer of Lawns
What a catch! Would you be okay with me featuring this in an episode of Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited in the video and in the description.
Thanks! Absolutely. Permission granted!
@@twincitiesaviator Awesome, thanks!
You bet!
I remember that thing I think I saw that what happened the airplane I remember is this one what happened it’s because of that big fan that was going really fast actually it is that big fan and actually wouldn’t like I don’t know like I don’t know what it did it just must’ve blown away the thing😮
I will definitely work on a video on this. Great catch! May I included a little clip of yours?
Awesome! Absolutely, as much as you want/need.
Lpllllpolpp
Dude, that is fantastic!!! Glad you were able to get over there in time for the departure!
Thank you! Me too! 17 departures are always a fun challenge.
@@twincitiesaviator I was over by Sun Country's hangar about to do the aircraft search portion for my annual K9 evaluation. Saw the plane start taxiing off the Remote Ramp, but didn't get to watch it after that.
That beast!!
Here before this blows up. I can already tell this has algorithm in its favor. 😂
Moral to the story is new sod right next to the runway is a bad idea, lol.
Jumbos on the 200’ wide runway or not above new sod!!!
Seriously! This runway was 150ft wide too.
Ouch for the crew that has to redo all the work. Love how clean the plane looks. No dirty streaks like so many white aircraft show. Maybe Atlas has a big plane wash somewhere in their network 🙂. I saw a notification that Atlas came to town but didn't get out to the airport. Glad you did! Thanks for the video. Love downtown Minneapolis in the background. And the A350 photobomb... fantastic!
BTW that was a 757 but doesnt matter
@@andrewwinkels9275 You sure about that? Check the size of the aircraft, winglet shape, cockpit windows, short nose, down sloping top of vertical stabilizer. forward tipped main gear. But like you said... doesn't matter 😑
@@TomDixonMN I'm positive b/c of the gear tilt and the winglets
The 757 main gear tilts upwards. The photobomb aircraft is an A350-900.
- blended winglets
- masked cockpit windows
- downward tilting gear
- everything that Tom mentioned
@@twincitiesaviator Lol sorry didn't even notice the gear tilt, masked windows, etc. I took a quick glance and thought it was a 757. My bad.
Amazing name by the way. Justice Aviation was amazing but Twin Cities Aviator is even better! Amazing shot btw🎉
Thank you!
Such a fantastic video! I saw the big X on 17 this morning and was slightly confused, as it just opened back up. This explains it lol ✈️✨
This was why 12R was an option from ATC.
Probably!
Ooooooooofffffffff!!!! Right time, right place for this thrilling capture.
Atlas Air taking off as an Airbus A350 is landing from Seoul. Nice video. Twin Cities Aviator is so much better than Justice Aviation. I like it.
From searching online, it shows that 3 of the 4 runways at MSP are 150 ft wide. Here in Sydney all 3 runways at SYD are 45 m wide which is ~ 147.6 ft and all can handle A380s. So perhaps it was a turf issue and not a runway width issue? Great vid btw- it’s awesome when you’re is the right place to witness something like this, even more so to capture it on vid.
It was definitely a turf issue. New sod had just been laid a few days prior to the incident. It hadn't had time to take root and secure itself to the dirt.
☝🏻
That is a serious wingtip vortice.
Love it, a 744. I miss plane spotting at MSP. Filming from the spotter area on Cargo Road? Thanks for sharing.
This video was taken from the south end of the airport past Runway 17/35. To clear up any possible confusion, this was not taken from the viewing area at the end of Cargo Road.
Wow! great capture and very high quality video! Am I allowed to use it in one of my videos (with credit/a link in the description)?
Amazing capture Twin Cities Aviator! Would you mind if I use part of this video , in one of my next episodes?Of course with a link back to your original video. Peace!
With proper credit, sure! 🍻

Wow that really did destroy the terrain! May I feature this clip in an upcoming video? I'll be sure to provide a link for viewers to return to your video. Thanks!
Yeah go for it!
Thanks!@@twincitiesaviator
Maybe next time they should put something to stake down the sod. Or let it get established before allowing any planes to take off.
It definitely did not sit long enough.
@@twincitiesaviator Exactly!I imagine that this is not the only time that this has happened. It was a very good thing that nothing got sucked into the jet engines.
I wonder if 74gear was flying it lol
😄
LOL...I've departed on runway 17, at KMSP, numerous times, but I've never been able to leave my mark like that!! But then again a 757's wingspan is only 125'.
what day was this on I work at MSP and wish I could've seen it
Today 10/23 at noon.
Don’t know why i laughed so much at this😂

That’s an amazing catch! Would you mind if I use this on one of my future RUclips shorts? Thank you!
With proper credit, sure.
Great Video!! May I use a clip from your video to feature it in Daily Aviation Fix?
Thanks! With proper credit absolutely!
Wow, What a capture!
May I use this clip also in next Aviation compilation video ?
Thanks!
Thanks! With proper credit, sure!
@@twincitiesaviator Sure, Thanks a lot!
You bet!
The 747 made a little mess over there! 😂
Could I use your video in a compilation on my channel? I'll give proper credits and link to the original video.
Right? Go for it.
Hey Twin Cities Aviator, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) :) Cheers, Felix
Check the description of the video. ✅
Hi there. What an amazing clip! May i use this in a video of mine? Of course you will be credited in the video and description!
Thanks! Sure thing.
Hey. Amazing footage, may we use this in one of our videos... You will be credited ofcourse :)
Thanks! Absolutely.
Wow!!
look at that he's mowing the lawn at 0:46
Pretty much
nice video dude, this is crazy
Thanks!
Great balls of turf!
Imagine if the A380 does it, will it be worst than the 747 destroying the terrain? 😂
Great video but "narrow runway" is a stretch...
Thanks! Loosely used term for the sake of the title 🙂.
@@twincitiesaviator Loosely ? It’s a standard width runway.
Two catches in one the Atlas 747 and the Delta A350 and this is obviously the Cambria Runway
I spotted this aswell since it went over me
Vídeo top 👏👏
Put in Xtra staples...they said...soo much for green side up
