Hummingbirds swarm heated feeders in east Vancouver

Everybody can use a little help making it through the ravages of winter. Even birds. Folks who maintain feeders throughout the year shouldn’t cut off the food supply during this season of scarcity. If you’ve encouraged birds to depend on you, don’t betray them just when the going gets tough.
“Consistency is the key thing,” said dedicated east Vancouver birder Jack Burkman. “You wouldn’t want to go hungry at this time of year, would you?”
